I went there and well no ones care to come talk to me when i am viewing the car, eventho i am very genuine to put a deposit. So i took the first step to speak with the SA there and i asked for a trade in price for my old CRV (yr 96). Promised to get back to me by evening for the price and scheduled a meet up to confirmed the trade in price, but i nv got any called back. This goes same to the Jalan Genting Klang branch SA, nv comes back to me on the trade-in-price.

I went to another showroom, was served well and the trade in price is at the range I desire. But things gone down the drain when the 2nd car reseller said if i dont have the AP cert of my old CRV, he need to deduct 1500-2000 from the CRV selling price. My CRV is a JPN Recon car, and last time my family bought it with cash, as such I only have the JPJ cert and dont have the AP cert as said by him. Is there such thing?

I saw one white Forte (my first) on the road yesterday around 7+PM at Jalan Masjid Negeri ... belongs to anyone here?

yup. you'll have trouble if you dont have the AP cert. usually bank will have the original and copy kept by us (if purchased by loan). for cash purchase maybe you need to check with the car dealer.

you cant get back your booking fee for cancellation.
this time on their receipt, it do have the statement, so hard to get it back.

Phelix, what is the delivery date that your SA estimiate? What's your plan after the cancellation?

I can get it back, just take longer time (my SA confirmed me this).
for hassle less.. better transfer my booking lo...
also my SA confirmed can transfer to other buyer, need to write a letter.
winlose did it before to transfer his NHC booking last time.

This is really absurd, why only the Penang (Macalister Road and Juru) Sales Branches are charging this RM150!!!

Please call careline to file your complaint and hopefully HQ will take action ASAP to stop this unfair treatment and take stern action against those who are profiting from the RM150!!!

phelix can get his booking fees back for sure cause he booked it before the car was launch...

For my case.. I will make it hard to get back the Deposit.. since they quoted me "Can be refunded since they have no car yet". I also made them to endorse on the Booking Form "Booking Fees is refundable upon cancellation"... somemore, this dealer asking for RM2k deposit.

no need to pay them for runner fee. that is their problem and not us.
and yes please report to careline. hopefully for those paid can get their money back.

I may follows your footstep on cancellation by next week.. but not downgrades and say bye bye to Forte. Or I should go and directly process for my cancellation now.. since it going to take a very long time for refund. My RM1k deposit with Tan Chong is yet to be refunded after 1.5 months i canceled my Selphy booking.

Ok..the labor charges is the same for 1.6 & 2.0. What about charges for parts..maybe got slight different right? i.e 1.6 uses hydraulic steering (from time to time will need to refill or flush the hydraulic fluid), while 2.0 uses motor-driven power steering (no hydraulic fluid).

the service charge list maybe for 1.6 only
for 2.0 maybe different a bit like what you've said.
currently no 2.0 on the road, so.. maybe they don't publish the service charge list yet.

hahaha..yesterday I saw a fellow FORTE parked in Tropicana City.
i knew him too as recommended him for Aircool tint.
then i parked my car near escalator entrance n had a few admired glances.

this morning, had a proud FORTE moment.
was filling up at Caltex and this man gave me thumb's up!
saying nice car..really sporty.
i said yeah..real value-for-money!
he asked me a few questions n ended with..Wow..great car!
hahaha..what else can a proud Forte owner asked for?
