walaoooo.. already V2 ahhh?
hahaha.. long time no spam in LYN..
just came back from honeymoon with my new babe..

just a quick review from me..

for those who got their car already, its recommended to read the manual.
lots of useful tips there.

1) Auto climate aircond
- if you use this function, set the temp at 23 degree (this is optimum setting for auto climate)

2) Smart key button
- i just notice that i wrongly push the button before. previously i simply press the brake and start the engine. but actually we could do like normal car.. press button without pressing the brake then all eletronic can be used (ie power window). then press for 2nd time (without press the brake), all the icon (airbag, temp, battery etc) will be displayed. wait for few seconds then start the car (push button + press brake)

3) Steering lock
- yes. it has the wheel lock funtion

4) running the engine
- get info from manual that we should vary the speed but must ensure rpm between 2 ~ 4 only.. haha.. i've test 130km/h at rpm 3.5, 110km/h at rpm 3

for fc.. i travel from tesco ampang to temerloh, pahang.
i fill full tank with petronas ron95, and reach my hometown by slightly more then 1 bar only. hopefully the figure will be improved after done the 1st service.
travel 400+ and the meter clocked 7.2L/100km (this reading include previous day journey that stuck in worst traffic jam ~ see below)

on last thursday, i've trapped in super duper jam at sunway ldp heading towards federal hiway and stuck at super duper jam at federal hiway for about an hour.. guess what? the fc is worst!! this is because of the moving/stall condition in traffic jam. for those who stuck in the jam on that day will know how is the traffic condition.

and lastly, for your info. my ride clock mileage 173KM when i picked the car. i dont have much choice as there is no white left for me and i agree to take the unit.
the car came without plastic cover all the cushion and the radio has been setup from 1 to 6 channel. my SA put remarks excessive mileage and according to him i might get free 1st service (inclusive oil & parts) to compensate the "loss"

and lastly.. i love my ride!!!!

actually we hesitate to recommend because we've our own difficulty during the booking + getting the car. i would recommend my SA but some other guy facing problem with the same SA even though i didn't face any problem at all. if you're looking for best deal.. i think best bet is from dealer..

julz, care to share your good dealer to MangO?

guys how's the FC for kia forte?
my sis gonna buy a new car soon
it's either vios or forte
*
KIA claim 7.1L/100KM

safe to say that between 7.1/KM ~ 9L/100KM. some of us get 12L/100KM ~ 14L/100KM (perhaps 100% city driving + caught in jam + tons of traffic light)

you did that?
ermm.. wondering how true is that...
rev it to the max to do breaking-in.
interesting article!
*
not really.. but clock max 130km/h at 3.5k rpm. but did not maintain the same speed for long time during my journey (most of the time between 100km/h ~ 110km/h). cant help it coz using East coast hiway (straight road and very boring if drive slowly tongue.gif) keep rpm between 2k ~ 4k as per manual stated (varying speed)

aiya~
i read that article saying need to rev it to the max...
if with dyno is even better... coz can maintain high rev to breaking in~
if on the road he says use lower gear to rev it to high RPM...
no 4k but 8k... LOL.. not for long.. try ur best to rev as high as u can~
if that is false info... will the engine blow?
*
hahaha.. i also don't dare la.. i also want others to try first rev to the max. mostly other people will drive below 110km/h only for break-in.. hehe.
at rpm 3.5k also i already begin to worry. i still stick to manual guide.. between 2 ~ 4k rpm. haha

how are u so sure? SA give u B&W docs...
i want to order 2.0 also but latest SA said will be Feb. Who knows maybe can hit Mac?
that is the difference between pre-launch booking and current booking (he has ordered but you still not place booking yet). for pre-launch booking, the car may in the process to be brought here already. so by jan may get the car. but give max time la maybe on february (to be on safe side)

QUOTE
i asked the SA about tinted voucher, he said none... haiyaaa...
can someone show me the sample voucher? i want to print & bring it to him...
this is depending on the SA. if he cant give tint voucher then try ask for other stuff like full tank or other freebies. me got the voucher (this is not even requested by me or offered by SA before) and other stuff. but won't expose it here. just ask for something that SA can offer ya?

2.0 will be CKD-ed ? since March baru sampai
*
if i am KIA/NAZA, i will say CKD
but if i am SA/dealer, i will say CBU

same like first batch, we got the CBU but KIA/NAZA say its CKD
for first batch 2.0 most likely CBU.

but being CBU or CKD does not make any difference if NAZA assemble them here.
just wish/pray that the CKD unit will be like previous bestari 206 ya? Only assemble tyre and put the naza logo only rclxms.gif

Autoworld Review

read review above & thinking to downgrade the rim to 16". is it a good choice?
*
the review did with stockyard tyre pressure at 340kpa. thats why the ride is crashy and wobbly.

you can downgrade but its advisable to do so after the warranty ended. coz if anything happened the warranty will void for tyre, suspension, etc.
or u can keep the 17" and use it for warranty claim.

with 16" you could get slight fc improvement. but loss in other advantages such as stability and grip

I'm doing so too in previous car because was told by car mechanic friend that is the correct way to break in. If not, the car can't show its true power in future ANYMORE.
After break in, it did feel better power and was use it for 5 years with no problem in engine. well, maybe just my case, you could try if you dare.
*
at what maximum rpm that u rev? brows.gif

me want to rev also after this.. but scared also.. haha..

around 6 or 7, almost red. no need to maintain that rev for long time. it is just similar to the link u sent, accelerated then decelerated. if you want to find a good place to do this, I would recommend MEX high way aka KL-putrajaya high way, indeed toll needed. Since it is straight, less car(especially weekend) and long down hill, you can go all the way to 180km/h easily.

p/s: don't do it at night, got illegal racer sometimes. And be careful smile.gif
*
haha. thanks for the tips. by the way just use shiftronic just now.. love the engine sound during shifting from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd gear..
kinda miss driving manual car and the sound of the engine.. tongue.gif

still don't dare to rev exceeding 4k rpm as in car's manual break-in process. sweat.gif
coz the link advice to do the hard rev during first 20 miles on odometer.. kinda late if to try now
