Last time I had visited htkaki's demo room, he tested Terminator Salvation with the SVS flagship monster sub, not sure whether he was using dual sub at that time

TS no longer being used for the demo.
Others have superseded it.
Max, you should use the Tai Lun vs Furiopus Five fight sequence. The landing of Tai Lun is beyond words !!

I did not fiddle with my Sub configuration. Space constraint and no point also coz nothing beats the feeling of dual sub set-up.

John was saying the WOW word in excitement to me when the first wave being unleashed by the 2 monsters sitting quietly in the 2 corners. Urged everyone here to take your own free time to make a trip down to HTkaki's demo room, hearing is believing. Bring own antidote of course!

I have that chest thumping and leg trembling feel of WOW with a single PC12+ at my old place but can't replicate that in my new room cry.gif cry.gif

Nothing strange about that. It is very possible that his current room response is flatter than the previous room...

Tactile feel and chest thumping could also mean peaks. Without knowing the room response, its difficult to ascertain which is accurate.

I had the same problem also.. the LFE can easily fill my open living area with a single sub.. but when I put 2 subs in my small room.. the bass seem to have dissapeared. Only recently when I tried different position of the subs then I manage to get better LFE..so I guess one needs to find the ideal position and angle.

Like DannyOP case, it could be the Sub placement in your room. I bet it is anything to do with the Sub interacts with your room boundary.

Time to craw around. But i hate doing this to be franked nod.gif

It becomes easier if you have something like XTZ or REW. Can do it by yourself, but yes it can be tiring and tedious.

Ahh... the things we do for this hobby smile.gif

No I don't have XTZ and REW. Was trying to learn from SyriuS on my last trip there but it was very late and you happend to take the XTZ back with you...

I don't mind tiring but those giant subs indeed are damp heavy... for the FV15HP arrival, by moving it for 5 ft away to the corner already taking me a long time. I virtually moved the sub one inch at a time on each site until it reach the corner. Then use all my strength to lift it on the garma pad then moved further in... I can't imagine I have to do it all over the room, alone!! that's too much rclxub.gif

I normally put a towel or something underneath and just pull the towel....

It is so much easier wit a cylinder...just tilt and roll it along the base.
Yes REW is indeed useful and surprisingly, rather easy to learn.
It appears daunting at first, but there's lots of online help available.
Once one uses it a couple of times, it is very simple actually.

Have you try different position since you have a long sub cable now? If that still does not work out, it is either there is too much absorption in the room, room modes or your previous living hall has quite a peak at certain freq.

Your PC is easy to move about.

I move my PB13-U and SB13-Plus very often. Treat it as exercise. Luckily, my bro helps out. I am going to move the PB13-U again this week. In a fortnight, I'll move the SB13-Plus. The SB is easier. The PB13-U is back breaking at about 71kg! sweat.gif

Tell me about it. Imagine moving two PB13s around. My floor is carpeted, so I took out the feet and it became easier to slide (but still took quite a bit of effort to do it alone).

If your floor is tiles, then can use a towel like anfieldude suggested or buy some furniture sliders to put under the sub. Makes it easier to slide.

Anyway, I'm putting up my XTZ for sale.

If you move the dual PB-U every now and then, you might end up like Arnold Schwarzenneger in a year or two biggrin.gif
