I hope kiding had a good audition too. My apology to both of you since the shop underwent some minor renovation work when you guys came. |

They are loud and with the right extension go low as well. If u can afford it, they are great for movies and multiples are even better.I hv to spend sometime with one to see how it sounds for music shd u plug the holes. Sealing a vented sub technically makes it a aperiodic sub so I would need to hear to see if the port noises can be heard. But for movies, it shd be close to the king of subs. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Mar 14 2011, 11:27 AM) The kings of subs is always relative, as it depends on the price range and others. A lot of DIY can beat most commercial subs pretty easily as its a function of the size and amp power as well as enclosure size. Yes It is not too simple to crown a specific as the best of all even for commercially available subs. It might sounds good to a person but it might not for the other person. But there are a few subs that worth mentioning apart from PB13-Ultra such as Submersive HP, Paradigm Sub 25, and eD A7-900. The PB13-Ultra DSP in gloss black and black oak only resume shipping in mid 2011 due to overwhelming demands. Crazy. The Chinese really have deep pockets to splurge. I have to wait another 3 more months to get mine |

hmm still wondering what a piece of foam ;ike subdude will do to help.. similar to bass trap?
btw just managed to test sb12 for one day..wish I had more time. Damn work.. no time to really enjoy.. put it outside my living room and its powerful enough to power the whole living room. Made my glass sliding door rattle... now have to figure.. how to eliminate sliding door rattle? Got a feeling the subs will perform better outside than my small room. Will try next to pair with ported subs from rythmik and svs. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Mar 21 2011, 01:08 AM |

I had that issue to with the PC-13Ultra as well, doors and window glasses rattle. Try applying door seals. It worked well for me, no more rattles on windows and doors. You can get them at ACE hardware stores (http://www.mydiystores.com/raven-door-seal.html)btw just managed to test sb12 for one day..wish I had more time. QUOTE(DannyOP @ Mar 21 2011, 01:07 AM) hmm still wondering what a piece of foam ;ike subdude will do to help.. similar to bass trap? The purpose of Subdude is to isolate the sub from the floor so that the sub's vibrations are not transferred to the floor. In overseas countries wooden floors are quite common and the sub's vibrations can cause the floor to vibrate and this will make the bass sound more boomy, less clean. Many people on AVS say that Subdude is not necessary on concrete floors (like what we have in Malaysia) but I think Subdude can still have some effect. |
