QUOTE(htkaki @ Feb 2 2010, 08:17 PM) Np Newbie question: Is it true that tubular woofers are easier to position as oppose to their traditional box siblings? But, I guess by then the PC12-NSD will be sold out. Nvm, still have PB12-NSD, PB12-Plus, PC12-Plus, PC13-Ultra, & PB13-Ultra for you to audition. |

Hello, newbie here. Currently hunting for HT set.
After hearing so many good things about SVS, from friends and everywhere... I think I will most probably get a PB12-NSD... (Must still find time to visit maxx for audition...) A quick opinion poll... Which set would make a better match for SVS sub? KEF iQ10 + iQ50 + iQ60C or PSB Image T5 + C5 + B4? |

Hi all... I'm using Kef iQ10 + iQ60c + iQ70 + SVS PC12-NSD + Marantz SR6004.
Just got my stuff last week. Been doing alot of field testing and research over the last 6 months. My original budget was 10k... The SVS sub is great. It's already rumbling my floor and shaking my sliding door at 50% capacity... |

Hi Guys... Just pop in to say... Owners with SVS subs, should really consider investing in a piece of SubDude.
Got mine yesterday. The difference is profound! |

QUOTE(jchong @ Mar 21 2011, 07:38 AM) The purpose of Subdude is to isolate the sub from the floor so that the sub's vibrations are not transferred to the floor. In overseas countries wooden floors are quite common and the sub's vibrations can cause the floor to vibrate and this will make the bass sound more boomy, less clean. Many people on AVS say that Subdude is not necessary on concrete floors (like what we have in Malaysia) but I think Subdude can still have some effect. Condos have hollow floor... With and without isolation, the difference is day and night. Bass is now tight and punchier, even at low volume! |
