Hi guy, how come yesterdays my streamyx upgrade to 4mb but i saw my modem is getting 4mb but when i go p1 speed test only 2mb how come?

Thank guy come to install already why i speed test still canot get 3mb or 4mb speed ? You also the same when 1st time upgrade

Technician just came and went. Tested 4MB (at 4096) and it was ok. The he upped it to 5120 and speedometer results were at 4.4MB. I'm very happy! I did ask him if he could cap it higher but he said for copper cables, unlike fiber, the speed is limited. So I'll just have to be happy with that. Anyway, I'm back at my original 1.5MB speed now but he said the speed will be upgraded within 24 to 48 hours. Woohoo!

What is your location? The Sg Buloh tech. is still refusing to up the port speed to 5120.. 4.4Mbps is just right..!

And is there a 'minimum contract' period of like 1-yr for the upgrade?

Use the mips will be faster, IMO. Took me only 2 days to get the technician to my house, I called them up as well but only to be told that my line be disconnected for minimum 3 days only. Obv they didnt la, took only few hours to activate.

The minimum period of contract i believe is 24 months, if you scroll all the way down and look at the ToC its clearly written in bold

Mean even that come to active my streamyx still need wait few day working hour to update my speed one ar

What IP are you connected to? I've heard that you can ask for a premium IP to get faster connection. Any experienced 4MB user can elaborate more?

Anyway I am not sure they are going to allocate 218 IP. Just wait for 3 weeks+ and then ask TM later on

Again sometimes you can't get it capped at 5Mbps. That depends. Few reasons , sometimes you can get it to be capped higher.

why i still speed 2 mb really no fair lor pay 4mb price get 2mb

Call 100 ... ask them check your account, create a report and they will put u to ATS department.

Usually it takes between 24-48 hours before you can get full speed..............

let tonight i back and try

Yesterday I went to TMPoint, settle everything upgrading my 1.5mbps(1mbps package but they free upgrade me because I'm 6 years user) to 4 mbps application. She said 3 working days.
Today my adsl keep blinking already 2 times, with 1 hour interval each. After the second time, my line from 1.5mbps become 2mbps line and my ping from 50-60ms went down to 15ms this is perfect. But it only become 2mbps. So I guess there's 2 more days to go until they called me to test my line? =D

Now testing at speedtest.net, download is only 1.59mbps =.=!!
Again i test using downloader that search for parrellel for maximum speed i can hit 2.25mbps.

Do we need any setting or the default setting of our modem can support up to 8mbps?
