ic,so the throthling system really sucks,last time i got throttle also can hit 56kbs~60kbps of dl,now i get around 1kbs~6kbs damn slow.

From the response that Channel84 got, I have this to say to P1: Why fix something that isn't broken in the first place?

Hopefully this situation is not permanent. Otherwise it's a violation of the contract on their end for failure to deliver what has been agreed upon.

aye...hopefully they're not feeding me some painkiller and false hope. Otherwise it's a breach of contract and we should have the right to terminate the service witout any obligation. P1 rep should give some official statement regarding this matter.

im back to complaint again.

Last 2 week, i was informed to change my modem as they claim my modem faulty because i didnt upgrade my firmware from 5.7 to 5.8. I was working and i nvr turn on my modem whole day. Hmmm..so i decided to change my modem as they requested and got myself a new modem with 5.8 firmware. Noticed the new firmware is boosting the modem power to enable faster and better signal receiver but the Wan status you might need 1 min to get the ip.
For the 1st week, the connection improved by 50%. Get less dc and atleast i can normal surf in-term of speed. BUT LATELY, pass 1 week what i get is back to the square. FREQUENT DC, modem status in operational but the WAN status is not ready. Whenever i load my browser, its DC AGAIN!!!!!!!! wth!

P1 Lowyat,

Please rectify the problem ASAP!

lol! My firmware still mantain in v5.7!

will it effect my speed?

My area is in setapak! I was suffering from the HiIGH PING problem and

SLOW UPLOAD SPEED !

I cant play my online GAME ! ! ! !ARGHHHH !!! WDF

i always get 1.2mpbs+- as my dl speed. bu when i dl stuff. maximum 100kbps and on average 7kbps. zzz/

P1 is so slow that I can't even run speedtest at speedtest.net and P1 own speed test!!!!

I'm using P1 modem to access p1 website which won't even load!!!!!(the irony)

I got the sms but I don't see any improvement at all!

Edit:Here is proof!And this is 6 in the morning. I doubt if there is any heavy internet traffic at all!

All P1Wimax users,

P1 is so faithful in sending out SMS when it comes to payment, suspension of service and stuff. Never falters. Even send email along with it.

Staring this month, they implemented/change the Fair Usage Policy in 2 ways:

1. No longer resetting on the 1st of the month, instead resets on your bill cycle.
2. They no longer include that 400kbps/150kbps guarantee when you get throttled. Basically you're damned if you push the limit as they can throttle you to 1kbps for all they care.


I have been arguing with their support that:

1. The change should have been communicated to the subscribers, even in the last bill it should have been there or in the Announcement section in their website. I was demanding they still reset the usages last December 1, but to no avail.
2. The online version of the FUP was not updated until today (when my changedetection.com alert script on the support faq page went off)


Now P1, stealthily changing your FUP -- when the FUP is like one of the most important policy that determines the experience of your users, is this the way to go for your company?

Attaching details of the FUP they changed to this post. Hopefully someone with some brains from P1 can answer me.

You're out of luck. They just changed their FUP, but without informing their users. The new throttled is speed any value P1 may choose. They removed that 400kbps/150kbps clause in their FUP.

... anyone here complain and then get a call from P1, but still get no resolution? Did you get a survey afterwards? I'm starting to notice that they only seem to give out that survey after a call/email when they are able to attend to your needs or if the interaction was positive on their end. Need more P1 users to confirm if they get that P1 Customer satisfaction survey thingie.

yes..i do received every single survey on each of my complaint but i rated them as what they give me the service. All bad bad survey

i would like to thank all of you sharing your horrifying experience with P1.I was one of the potential interested customer of P1. I was comparing streamyx and P1. I have experience with Streamyx but not p1. I read wonderful stuff about p1, mostly from early bird users. When i'm about to shortlisting p1, somehow i find myself to your comments here.

I can see many of you crying using this lousy service. Huh, what a luck. Quickly i rushed to TMpoints and register streamyx. Now i'm getting average 1.58 MB of speed, average 78-90kbp of rapidshare downloads.I can even stream 2-3 redtubes in one go.(for testing purpose only since youtube server is damn slow).

I really thanking all of you.To P1 Lowyat, i hope you will take this as a challenge and tell your boss to improve your service.As you can see here, many giving bad review about FUP policy, and you should consider repeal the policy it completely,since nobody benefiting any single bandwidth from this policy eventhough it is term "Fair Usage". My few words of suggestions. If you improve all this and gets A score cards, i may join your "Potong" campaign.

Just received another call from P1. The lady said the reason for my tanked speed is due to me exceeding the fair usage threshold and told me to wait until the 14th again. I am only getting 10kbps download speed, for f***'s sake! I can't browse the net anymore, I can't check my e-mail, getting to this forum takes ages. She said the slow speed is due to "best effort". Her response made me seethe with rage.

When I demanded a solution, she told me to upgrade to the 40GB package. And when I said I want to terminate because of the void of contract, she reminded me of the f***ing RM999 fine hanging over my head. She speaks so nonchalantly as though I owe her shit.

So basically everything is my goddamn fault now is it? More than a week of pain and all I get are bullshit textbook answers.

I really regret subscribing to this phony hack of a service.

f*** you P1. Seriously, f*** you.
