as advised previously, try to reset ur modem first
supposely ur login should return to factory default

Got my P1 package today, (139rm / month), 2 bar signal. So OK ish signal strength, what is the download speed.... errrr

0.25mbps wow rclxms.gif this should be classed as illegal. Its like going in to a petrol station, paying for 1 litre of petrol and getting 1/10th of a litre...

I am from UK and thought things would have improved here in Malaysia since I was here 3 years ago, seems there is a way to go yet..

Maybe P1 should be paid according to the average connection speed over a month? and rebranded 'P1SS takers'?

Have u tried, err, putting the modem all over the house? and test each spot of the house to see which spot has the best signal?

"Force" is when you don't have a choice. laugh.gif
128kbps is still okay for regular browsing, just that you won't be able to watch Youtube or play flash games.
Hope low usage users like me can benefit after heavy users are being throttled ... LOL

Hi k.mark45,

Kindly perform HARD reset to your modem and try login again.
HARD reset can be performed by poking the reset Hole in your modem and wait till all the lite goes off. Then release the hole and wait for u modem to reboot by itself.. once u get a static light. Kindly try to login again. if this still doesnt work kindly walk in to our Technical and Service Support Center for further assistance. TQVM

Hi gbrlta,

Standardize the throttling speed for all plans to DL 128kbps and UL 100kbps once the customers have exceeded their monthly usage quota
Optimize network, reduce congestion sites, ease of communications
Throttling speed will take place on 22nd March 2011.
All other parameters within the plan remain unchanged

Do let us know if u need further clarification.

After performing the HARD reset your modem setting will be configured to Default mode.

Unless your Desktop PC has a wirelss connection to the modem then can test for signal.
Or buy a wireless network adapter. Or try connecting a long network cable.

Well, P1 did give 7 days trial to test the connections. It was impressive!!! I nailed it down at that spot!
After 7 days gone by....
What happens to the impressive speed? Gone? Stolen? Do I need to move my modem up down left right or maybe on the roof, Boy96?
I found out that the speed is impressive when the TIME you are going to WORK!
When I came home, the speed is *no need say more*

Home pro plan here. I want to hit that 30GB but I cant. So how?
Oh another thing, I want to play local game server. After I joined the server, not even a minute, I got kicked out. Ping too high!!!!
I've checked. 80-90ms is good. Why was I kicked out? Oh...I cant play FPS games. Ping fluctuating.

I'm a existing p1 home plus user for more than 2 year.
I'm considering upgrading to home pro but i got 2 question to ask
1) What is the min speed for home pro after the fup limit is used up?
2) Does P1 guarantee minimum speed for it's package anymore? If yes please show me the link to the info

Currently considering upgrading to home pro or jump ship to unifi.

Wow. that just blows me away again. 128kbps/100kbps. ain't it a bit harsh P1? Somehow I want to believe someone from P1 tried surfing while being throttled before deciding on that value. Is it year 2000, yet again? -- didn't receive the memo..

I'm a home pro user. with what they're planning to implement for the throttling speed I'd say don't go for home pro.. don't go for P1 even.

P1 does not give preference whether you're paying 99RM or 139RM per month. Once you hit that quota you're with the rest of the pack.
There's absolutely no reward for sticking with P1 for the long haul, all they care about are getting new subscribers, getting people to top up.. Basically earn more moolah.. milk us somemore.

And don't get me started at the number of hours i've spent trying to search for a good signal for the modem. Save yourself from the hassle, go Unifi.


If only I had the same choice as you to switch to unifi, I would've already done so.

What was your first month bill charges?

WTH, when I subscribed, I wasn't told any nonsense about the pro-rated charges!! I was only told and assured that my first month bill will be RM 100. WTF.

In dec 2008 they change the fup term and condition and we protested, they change it back to stating back the min cap speed for different package
Now they're doing the samething again.
All package throttled to the same speed? omg
0.12mbps dl speed? omg omg
I supported p1 for so long because i believe in promoting competition among isp.
But suka suka change FUP term and condition attitude of p1 and unattractive/uncompetitive package compare to unifi is just bad business strategy and practice.

"After using/supporting p1 for 2 year, they still leave me no choice but to jump back to tmnet."
that is the summary of my 2 year customer evaluation to p1 cry.gif

1 - Upon exceeding the the quota. Your throttle speed will be around download 128 kpbs / upload 100 kbps
2 - P1 does not guarantee minimum speed as the connection are on best effort basis.
