at night the speed is reduce by quarter... around 1mbps.... maybe all user active at this time....huhuhuh

but the morning around 5 am.... very fast...

hopefully p1 can overcome the problem....

even my 7 days trial for 4.8 mbps packages

download speed(100kps-700kbps max)
upload speed(50-100kbps)

if cant reach 80% then u r eligible to downgrade without any charge...

If they didnt respond to ur request...
Just report to the MCMC, then they will call u personally to settle the problem...

700kb/s if download by IDM i think its more than ok.. what u expect.
at my area i got 350-450 kb/s download..

the only problem is after capped speed only 50kb/s only..lol doh.gif

and new service
normal price = RM25 for 2 GB... - very expensive
now rm10 for 2 GB (Offer) lol - this should be normal tongue.gif

we should denote the bit and bytes very careful.... bit or the sort term is b... that why they put the speed in kbps... kilobit per second.

meanwhile byte always in capital letter (B). kBps - kilobytes per second or MBps - megabytes per second... M capital because got other m which is mili...

if u using IDM, that speed is kBps....it should be lower than number given by provider.... need to divide by eight. for example 4.8Mbps is equal (4.8*1024)/8 =~615 kBps or 0.615 MBps....(speed that i can achieve in early morning...)

LOL what website?? i dont think they block any website . maybe ur firewall or antivirus blocked it or it takes too long to load the website and its time out .

I registered today for P1 wimax and terminating tomorrow. Gonna activate bck my streamyx and upgrade it to 4 mb. P1 is bullshit! And i can only get my money back in 2 weeks. Ambik duit cepat, tapi mau bayar balik lambat!!! Conmen P! wimax!!!

No, that's not the problem.

Right now, I am trying with P1 using my desktop and laptop.
I can get connected straight with desktop but I am having the failed to obtain IP with my laptop.

I thought it is my laptop problem so I had reformatted it and still get the same error. Darn! vmad.gif vmad.gif

Temporary High speed only, maybe you are very luckily cost their base station restart and kick off all user or they are doing maintenance.
The speed will slowly slow, and will not last long....

Damn sucks, I am in P1 HQ right now and I am getting connected via Windows 7 64bit. The moment I leave the building and goes somewhere else I get the failed to obtain IP message.

However, 32 bit Windows (any version) works fine flawlessly. The P1 technical support personnel is also puzzled. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Anyone knows how to get it working on Windows 7 OUTSIDE the HQ? I l keep getting failed to obtain IP problem.
