Heh, you mean you've both ATM + Check card ?!

I only got the check card, which can be used to withdraw from savings / checking account when I use the ATM in the states.

Anyway, I just requested for the ATM to be sent over to me now (which can only be used for ATM transaction) sad.gif

i only have the check card, not sure they linked my savings to it as well or not

The check card is link to checking account by default. If you do a transaction via VISA  network, I think it will deduct from checking account.

One more thing to remember is to call their CS before make withdrawal & told them that you are in Malaysia & want to withdraw money. Previously, I did not call them, withdrawal not success & card get block.

I tried to make 3k withdrawal at HSBC & 1.5K at Maybank ATM. Both working well.

Why do you cancel the checking account?
*
Ok, I will make a note to call the CS before making any withdrawal smile.gif

I canceled my checking account coz I don't want to pay for the fees tongue.gif I wasn't informed by the CS that my check card will also be closed when I close my checking acc sad.gif

... sigh ...

Yes. They say the promotion will run till 31/3/2010 in both their brochure as well as the newspapers but according to their website, the 2% cash back is valid only until 28/2/2010 rclxub.gif

The annual fee of RM20 is very high in my opinion. The annual fee of their existing Cash Connect debit Mastercard and My Cash-i debit Mastercard is only RM15/pa and the normal cash back is exactly the same at 0.5%. Now that they have introduced this new VISA debit card, does that mean they will soon stop issuing the debit Mastercard hmm.gif

No. The maximum rebate per card is only RM30 during the promotion (2%). Not sure if there is still a cap after the promotional period.

You can get a Public Bank VISA Electron without opening an account with them. As for Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card, you must either open a savings or current account with them.

For Public Bank Day2Day VISA, you will need to register for Verified by VISA on their website. You account has been locked most probably due to you have entered an invalid information more than 3 times. Call their credit card centre and ask them to unlock the card. No worries, it happened to me before. They can unlock your card right away.

Before you register for Verified by VISA, make sure you read this first before registering for it and follows the instructions > FAQ
