Nice. But does your employer pay for your socso or epf contribution too?

Do you telecommute or do you make trips to office like most of us? biggrin.gif

That's good. In today world, there are lot of people who dealt with technology work and earn their living online. IMO. that's the job of the future. The only thing you've to do is to make plans for your own personal savings for future retirement and health care. biggrin.gif

Do be a bit careful with the external/overseas income. The Malaysian inland revenue doesn't like it because they still want to tax individuals who don't work for Malaysians firms esp. you reside in Malaysia. The archaic 1967 tax laws have no means to tax income derived from legit online sources (such as performing web development or tech support or consulting) over a certain limit. Occassionaly, they do scour individual bank accounts for suspicious activities (such as money laudering) and issue audit letters. I 'kena' once but have to provide proof that I don't earn income from Malaysia but already paying some taxes overseas on my earned income to get away. I don't know what kind of arrangement you have with your oversea employer but do think about this when they start knocking on your door. wink.gif

Hi there,

I find that whatever JOB(Just Over Broke) it is taken by us. It will only create a temporary income. Why temporary? Because once we don't work, we will not be paid. We are not like robot working 24 hours without being sick.

I think the best way to earn a good income is to multiply our time. Working for others is to trade time for money but we need to know how to multiply it so that we can more time rather than 8 hours working.

I would rather have 80 or 800 hours each day to earn money. No one teaches us how to multiply our time. During our study, the teachers only know how to teach us to have good grade then after graduate to get a good JOB. They don't teach us how to be a businessman or teach us how to multiply our time. It is sad to know that after 17 years of study, we end up working for others, just to get a temporary income.

I know a friend who is good in multiplying his time and I'm still learning from him. If you are interested, I can share to you guys and gals here.

Take care.

I had a friend who said almost the exact thing to me. And in the end it's e-networking that he was talking about. Is your friend talking about the same thing?

A lot of companies are doing salary adjustment now. It's should a good news since the cost of living and inflation rate are rising especially in KL and Selangor.

Well ... the salary for government and PSD staffs are relatively lower as compared to private sector.

However, some companies allow you to claim for certain living costs. It's part of the staffs benefits and welfare. Highly depends on the company.

My company pay above RM2500 for a fresh engineer. Usually an engineer title get a fair pay for their expertise

Well ... for a salary within the range of RM2k to 3k, engineers who studied for 4 years for their degree are not well-compensated in Malaysia. That's what my lecturer told us.
