i would like to say that i'm a good performer but the company hv no opportunity for me to perform...no chance to use my skills at all....no new thing to learn too....felt my knowledge and skill had degraded if compared to last time....

feel so bad....i asked my previous manager...am i performing good at work?
he said i'm a good performer...very responsible....overall performing very good...but y the salary so low? it is the company not paying me enough?

the only good thing is low work load....can go back home every day on time...want to work overtime also nothing to do....umm....this is good or no good?

the company also quite near to my home...5 minutes journey to work....

should i stay or find another job?
due to i need to take care of my child too...so work near my home is more preferable....this make me headache...

but when look at my underpaid salary..make me feel sad 

Sorry to said that your department consider as cost center, so they treat as non value added.

Is up to you to decide whether to stay on or jump to other Co. or other field to gain more exposure & higher salary.

if you stay in one company and no promotion of your position, the salary increase tend to be rather slow.
a lot of times, the seniors felt frustrated when the newly hired are getting equivalent or only slightly lower than what they are getting.

i am not sure about the situation in Seremban but the fresh graduates i hire are all getting a salary close to RM3k these days. (youngest 1989)

BTW, I find it difficult to accept that your company does not have any chance for you to shine. This is total crap in my opinion. Ppl that shine are those that do more than is required, obtain knowledge before hand and not when needed.

My uncle started of as a QA exec like you did. His working hours stop at 6pm because thats when everyone goes home. HOWEVER, he stayed back, learn the process and enhanced his knowledge. DO TAKE NOTE that all of this was done out of his OWN WILLINGNESS. This went on for 1 year and average time he stayed after working hours is 4 hours.

He then moved on to work in singapore with a raise of 200% (figures, not only exchange rate, which means he got 400% more after conversion) after working for 3 years. Now, he's based in China as a QA Director after working for slightly more than 9 years making SGD20k.

You decide what you are. No excuses. Your company sucks then move out. Staying in your confort zone, then thats your problem.

i didn't blame anyone....is only myself willing to change the working environment by changing the job or not....out of my comfort zone is easy if i'm single....now as a mother....need to consider my children and family too...so hard to make decision between career and family....

in ur opinion that u cannot accept a company that does not have any chance to shine?
this u need to wait till u found a company that put 1st priorty to seniority but not performance...u will find that althought ur qualification, knowledge and experiance in the field is more than ur manager...however...if u r not working in the company long enough than ur manager....although the total working experiance in the working field is the same...u will only to be hired to assist ur manager....u will never be promoted beyond ur manager position...felt like being used by the company....

lastly...it is all depend on me and myself to change or not....
that y i need to know that the salary that i receive every month/year is still worth that i continue to stay there and enjoy the so-called comfort zone....or go out and explore the new world...not to mention....my whole family need to receive the good or bad impact from the decision i made...so that y i need to evaluate my condition now....it is a matter of worth or not?
