hi...

u r from supervisor to manager? so what ur previous executive and manager be? higher position or leave the company already so that u have the opportunity to be in their position?
*
Well, if according to cronological order it was from Supervisor -> Sen Supervisor -> Executive -> Manager. There was no executive in the Dept until I was promoted. When I was promoted to Manager Level, my manager was actually asked to take over the Testing Lab operations while I took over the whole QC Dept.

Its part of life. You are going to have to deal with it. Many companies are like that and I have been in such company's and I left.

To me, since you have a family, you should be thinking this way. How will it help your family in the future if you continue to stay in your current job? Would you not like to provide a better living for your family? Not sure how old are your children, but based on your current earnings, when your children pursue's their tertiary education, you are going to be in a pinch even if you send them to local uni / college

I wouldnt state how much you will need as each family has different needs. I read a survey before. Average surveys shows that the cost to raise a kid from 0 - 18 years old cost approximately 500k. You do the math.

To me, why not try to lessen the burden of your husband ? If you are hesitant to leave the company why not try to do some part time / side income since you are able to leave work fairly early. Usually (in olden times), it is the head of the house that is responsible to feed the family, however, if the partner can help reduce the burden, why not?

I'll put my family's income here and you can judge. My family earns RM20k++ monthly with 4 children. My parents are NOW enjoying life (55 years old. They are still working but less worries now cause 3 out of 4 is working already). But before they reached this age, especially when they were 40+ .. they worked really hard to ensure all of us were provided tertiary education.

All of us took PTPTN loan and we were sent to local university's FYI. I had an above average life but please do not mistake us as having a luxurious life. My house consist of protons and peroduas only. NO IMPORTED CARS.

Opening a kisok at shopping center n letting other people handle. First of all do you have experience in such things? If no then why wanan take the risk of letting other ppl run it ? I rather choose to do it fulltime.

Either way the decision of whether to advance or not is up to you.

fulltime is too risky...a kiosk dono can earn me 42k a year or not.....

if hired ppl to sell for me...i still continue with my current job....i still get 42k per year plus the profit from the kiosk...if can get around 2k nett profit per month from the kiosk is consider ok already for starting...
*
then u seriously lack the business mind.

This is exactly why we have alot of kiosks in mall with inattentive sales personnel.

My mom started her business with a kiosk, with the help of my sister.

Estimation gross profit is about 10-20k per month...

Then...expansion...

Now...2 shops with most of the stocks belong to herself...

How do you know you are going to make a profit? Most businesses make losses.

well OnG pays more, hence more stressful and responsibility... i heard those superiors really press you hard.!

Agree agree agree...on the hardship working in OnG.

Stressful, tight schedule, long working hours, big resposibility, heavy burden.... no life.....

Sometimes want to go crazy, breakdown, want to cry but cant stop because its very competitive. Once u stop peforming, there are at least 3 candidates waiting to fill up your position....

The trick done by employer is pay you not very high but not very low.... u r so stuck, no other company can offer you significant better salary... so u dont dare to jump ship.... very stuck.

i believe as a diploma holder that is what you can get currently...

only after a year or two u can start requesting what a degree holder would get.

If you are smart wise, you may even shorten the period.

I think that is only applicable to offshore workers in the OnG. Normal office related ones are kinda stressful otherwise they wont give u such high pay.
