I can't remember where I found this source.. but those figures are not made by me.
I did make some researches on lecturer salary not too long ago, and get it from a forum discussing about it (don't ask me which forum, i cant remember. You can google it yourself).
I can't guarantee the source is 100% correct, it is the salary from a government university in malaysia. I can't recall which university..

May I ask, your master degree is it fully research? If it is, then what was your research specialization?

yeah, its around that figure. My friend's lecturer from IIUM told him that a professor could easily earn around 13-14k a month.

With a 1k increment per year, university professors should be earning 23k in his 10th year of career.
Is my understanding correct?

I presume buy side.

If you are non bumi RM1.8 (some kiam siap China-man investment firm) -3.5k for local firm. Usually foreign firms do not offer for newbies.
If you are bumi RM4k or more I've heard.

But some are paid more... depending on how much funds the company has.

For my basic, I felt I am definitely underpaid as I possess excellent resume, no matter in academic or extra activities. But will be staying here for a year or so, cause it will close to my uni where I am pursuing my PhD.

me.
1k. but just a diploma in business admin.
the only good thing is that there are hardly any expenses.
its only 1km from my house.
so only spend rm10 max for petrol per month.
and less than rm100 on lunch per month.
but still..sad.sad.sad.

but its a 1st job so im just learning everything as much as i can.
