QUOTE(chewkl @ Sep 2 2009, 05:46 PM) WDTV can go play far far. Don't even have HDMI 1.3. Dvico is an established player in the market. Why do U think they can command a high price? ACRyan and Xtreamer are newcomers to the playing field. Basically both are the same on the inside as they are using the same Realtek chipset. Difference is only on their customized firmware. There are also a lot of other companies coming up with their own players based on the same 1073DA/DD Realtek chipset. ok WDTV out liao

Is that a big problem? To me its not as most of the bluray rip in mkvs do not requires HDMI1.3. Its something good to have but don't really matter if you do not have.

Bro Chew, The latest fw is absolutely working well on the subtitles, and we dont even need to have ext srt files for that! I think, after the fw upgrade, we need to reboot the player for it to take effect. Arrow Up/Dn keys to move the subtitles up/down, and left/right keys to increase or decrease the font size.
How much is this flighbox pro selling for? If it is the exact same box from china, but at usd100, then it is worth buying considering that it will play bd-iso.

to all new playon!HD owners...may i ask if you can comment on the build quality of the free HDMI cable that comes with the player...is it decent? i mean, is it necessary to buy another cable or the free one good enough?
