I can hardly understand what you are trying to get across here.
From what I understand from him, is that the way we install application in Mac, we drag it in Applications folder. While yours are on the desktop, and so, by moving it to trash, you are actually deleting the apps itself.

Added on August 15, 2009, 2:21 amAnd I think you are trying to say that when you mount the Mac messenger, you get the windows with MSN>>Application.

You should just drag that App into that Application folder.
And tada! it's copied into your Application folder.

Dear MacBookians,

I have purchased my MacBook Pro less than 6 months, and yesterday, I received an email stating it is the last day I am eligible to purchase my ACPP.

Is there some kind of error, or they have recently changed their policy?

I have deleted the soft copy, however, I still have the hard copy. From the serial number, is states that my warranty will only end on next year July. Have sent them an email, am awaiting their reply.

I am not able to call Apple Malaysia on Monday as I will be leaving the country tomorrow for further study.

I know, already checked. It states that my warranty ends on July 2010. But I just don't understand why they send me that email.

Bad news for macbookers

QUOTE
SnowLeopard and 64-bit.
August 14th 2009 Posted to Snow Leopard
It looks like not all users understand  about 64-bit support in snow leopard.
So, here is how it works:
on all Macs, except xserve, system boots by default 32-bit kernel.
This kernel can run 64-bit apps justs fine on core 2/core i7 based cpuz.
64-bit kernel works only on macs with 64-bit efi, this is limitation set by Apple,
technicaly 64-bit kernel can be launched by 32-bit efi just fine.
also Apple disabled 64-bit kernel support for any macbooks, even  with 64-bit efi.
64-bit Kernel can run both 32 and 64 bit apps.
On hackintosh only cpus with ssse3 can run 64-bit kernel/apps, its core2/corei7 based cpus.
if kernel is 64-bit, then it can load only 64-bit kexts.
if kernel is 32-bit, then it can load only 32-bit kexts.
Userspace program cant load plugins with other architecture, for example menumeters will work only when you booted legacy, so menubar created by 32-bit application.
Quicktime uses InterProcess Communications(IPC) to load 32-bit codecs in 64-bit player.
64-bit safari uses IPC to load 32-bit flash player plugin.
To try to boot x86_64 kernel on Macintosh,  edit this file:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist
find there:
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string></string>
and change it to
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>arch=x86_64</string>
Source : http://netkas.org/

What this means is that even if your Macbook supports 64-bit (i.e core 2 duo) , Snow Leopard will run in 32-bit environment instead of 64-bit. This is because Apples BIOS (EFI) doesn't allow 64-bit support. This is bad for macbook users as their mac is capable of running in 64-bit environment but apple doesn't allow them to do so !

mmm surely there's a reason for them to do so? it's lk limiting the potential of their own machines. :T and it's quite a bad thing to do when win 7 is jz around the corner
