Just played Burnout Paradise. in 1366x768 medium settings, and the shadow is set to LOW. A bit laggy sometimes (i think it went to load the map some more) overall is good. Dunno how to calculate framerate.

Were you using 3200 or 4570 for that?

I find the the 3200 cannot meet my expectations for gaming, even though it is a lot better than Intel GMA graphics on other laptops.
But once I switch display to 4570, silky smooth all the way.

keying in numbers before this was kinda trouble but now more and more laptops are coming out with full keyboard

Previously, only laptops with 17" and above had numeric keypads.
But these days, most laptops come in at 16:9 aspect ratio screen which make them wide enough to accommodate a numeric keypad even at 15.6".

Most people would find it increases productivity a lot by having a numeric keypad as calculating/keying numbers can be very fast. Also, it helps in gaming such as Dota.

lol. ape setting lagi tinggi utk reso? tu mmg dia punyer native da tu kan? maksudnye same la seting kite. aku lol betul ngan budak nie.

main bese mmg smooth, tapi ade tempat kalo da laju sgt, dia akan ade stuttering(less than 1 sec lag) aku rase nie mase dia nak load certain2 part of the map.

hi there. recently i jz brought an asus k50ab. im curious why sometimes the cpu fan run faster and sometimes it run slower.

mobo hot - faster

mobo cold - slower

Btw, im using everest to monitor my laptop temp.
when the mobo runs hot ard 85~90C, the fan still run is the same manner(slow) but sometimes its run fast even the mobo is nt hot(45~50C)

might be related to d intake of the internal heatsink, if u look carefully d intake is just below d lcd, so maybe the angle of ur screen has something to do with the temps

What are the settings you guys using for the game.

I use AMD Fussion... and put most at Low.. but the game still lags.
The resolution is 1280 x 768 16:9..


I remember reading about this in the pages before... but couldn't find it again now that I want that information... but.. anyone could tell me about dGPU and Power XPress?

dgpu = 4570 , powerxpress = 3200

i'm puzzled. Last night, my laptop even when idle, the fan blows like hell. Heck it even reached 36c coolest. and i'm not using any cooler nor any air conditioning. Will be posting the CoreTemp screenies soon.

Not even my old S41 can reach that low temp. It is almost like my Opty's normal temp under load. note- my opty can reach 20 something if not under load. and it is still using a stock cooling. Hows that for "hot AMD"?

i've managed to hit 36 degrees too, in a/c room. i think 36 degrees is the lowest already for the proc.

even my intel c2d laptop can't reach that low temp when the fan is even noisier than the K50AB fan.

i guess the K40AB/K50Ab design for cooling is just awesome.

hmm.. im playing burnout with medium settings.. everything run smoothly.. no lag at alll.. full screen.. maybe its ur HDD too hot? burnout uses the HDD to savegames.. so most probably its the HDD that makes the game lag i guess..

Added on September 2, 2009, 1:17 pmi personally set it into dGPU.. power express seem to give lotsa problem..
for street fighter.. i set everything into the lowest.. including the resolution.. the background everything off..
thou the image isnt really nice.. the game runs like hell smooth man..
brings back the old memory.. and the graphics look like the old street fighter style. hahaa..

maybe at that time my hdd is far too cluttered? I managed to used up to 80GB of the main partition (i set to 100GB) with my programs and games. Better be prepared for me to buy another external HDD. @-@

i guess its ur HDD problem.. too cramp up.. i personally use 100gb for the secondary drive and the rest for the C drive. lolz.. or maybe its ur graphic problem? u sure ur using 4570?
