Quite clearly the 9600m GT is inferior to the 9800m GT. And so is the 4570 is as well. That I am well aware of. My point here is that the 9600 did not scale very well from Undercover to Shift. I'm asking this merely to find out if it is peculiar to the 9600m GT, since it was on par with the 9800 in Undercover. Again, I'm only using my 9800 as an example because it scaled alright from Undercover to Shift.

So if you read carefully, I'm asking here for a comparison of the SCALING between the 9600 and the 4570.

I think it's rather unfair of you to think that I'm trying to brag because I have a "big name" laptop, I honestly am not. It's also strange that you should jump to such conclusions without actually bothering to read my post thoroughly. I have better things to do in my life than show off, I'm just interested in the differences in the graphics workload between Undercover and Shift.

Now if we can go back to a civilised discussion on that, it would be very nice indeed

i think keyword here is PhysX... Shift supports PhysX and 9600M having only 32SP, will probably have some difficulty rendering both PhysX and graphic at the same time...

try disable PhysX (if u can... not sure abt the settings since i ve yet to play the game) and see how it goes...

It's not mine, it's my friend's. I think he already has PhysX switched off, but I'll check. So far performance has been pretty bad on it, drivers and everything are alright and up-to-date. Which is why I'm asking here. But I seem to have touched a few nerves without intending to.

anyways both QL-64 & 65 are 2.1ghz. The ONLY diff is, QL 65 has higher HTT 2000mhz vs 1800mhz, which doesn't make much diff in real life


yeah it does, pretty cool to see fusion shutting down those unnecessary task behind..not sure if it actually does much diff

No probs guys. But sometimes depending on profile, the Fusion Mobility tends to shutdown K10stat when it load the profile.

It tends to be more aggressive in shutting down application than the normal fusion for battery savings purpose.

maybe new batch k40ab all come with QL65 oledi...hopefully the price can go like rm1999 too.. or else have to pay extra rm100 for a not much different cpu ..

well, i ve used the normal one on my desktop before, seriously it's pretty aggressive when it does it's job... even the AV can be turned off as well...

somehow i juz have the feeling that AMD is desparate to squeeze out more performance...
