wat means by hot flash?

flash the latest 1 on extremesystems .....july tat1.....after flash can be booting ...
after change setting thn cant d...hmm...

hotflash mean get an exactly same board w/ healthy bios chip boot up & go into dos flashin mode, unplug d healthy chip & plug in d sick bios chip & finally run d bios flasher. voila... after this d sick bios chip is healthy again... sounds simple but not so simple rite?

bios date 06/29/09? i had problem too after flashed, but after clear cmos & unplug power source then managed to boot up, try few attempts but not really d one for my chip (to be honest i've found none is suitable atm or i'm too new to this ). finally i gave up & flashed back d official bios.

yup..stressing a lot when u dont know the temperature is bad..

that's why, stressing with long time, is not my prefer...
u ain't using it at 100% cpu load all the time
eventhough with my 30min + gaming test, able to pass render image (of course this program utilize 100% for all core)

Yeah..thats why me rarely use "stressing" tools..usually if gaming fine..everything is fine no BSOD..considered good edy..But still sometimes..for extra-care i do test..but not so long la - -..Usually 30 mins sth like that..

no la..i dint prime long time...just prime often..like IBT,then orthos..when ortos pass for 20 mins, i switch to PRIME95
but sure i give it a break before prime again..hmmmm...whadda..but it not like "pufff"and gone..i shut off my pc..and then cant boot back..will try again today.

there's no problem stressin for 1 hour or 2 as long as d volt is friendly enuf, d friendly could be subjective but i never prime my chip @ > 1.5v for hours, that wud be insane unless cooling is not a concern. 30 mins of p95 w/ time to run each fft @ default (15mins) doesn't really stress much of ya oc'ed setup, most likely u'll end up runnin 2~3 test only which imo is not enuf to justify TOTAL stability.

after countless time of restarts, i come to realize that d board is not as forgivin as dfi. in case of vcore and/or not enuf, dfi board will just fail in p95 but on biostar there's no room for p95 to fail coz it'll restart rite way....



it's either my head or d board/ram need to burn in b4 headin for further mileage...

msi 790gx-g65 was on my mind b4, but d bigger price tag really push me away from gettin it. it's still within friendly range in lyn (last time i checked it was sellin @ RM475) thou it's RM125 more expensive than kit_kit's special price for 790gx a3+. but in sgp, d diff between d 2 is a whoppin $95 difference which is approximately RM233. it was a clear choice for me back then when i purchased d a3+ on last friday.

for a board that cost only RM355 for a full solid caps, w/ cf, firewire, full size atx (unlike other 790gx series which is not full sized atx) & etc... what else u could ask for... a steal i'd say...

board is OK only for my chip but samples in xs show they're gud enuf for X2 550BE @ quad, it can even handle a 955BE pretty well...

wud my mind telling me the safe vcore for this board to prime 1hr..not for daily usage ofcos...im thinking of getting one... and in my mind is OCZ and KVR ram...any diff between em?

d new dual plane boards really improved alot imo (those newer boards w/ 4+1 pwm @ cpu & 2 pwm @ mem like 790gxe 128m and 790gx a3+), u can see better components are used on 'em. i did prime w/ 1.42v (790gxe 128m) b4 & i think i got a ss showin prime @ 1.3xV for long hours but nothing seems to be wrong w/ it. i didn't get any complaint from d buyer oso who's also runnin an unlocked x2 550BE on it. d important thing is to keep d mosfets cooled...

no comment for d ram as i'm ddr3 newbie...
