Latest News and Previews News [FUD] Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz listed for £ 177.30 AMD has started this year with Phenom II X4 940, DDR2 and 3.0GHz, then it got Phenom II X4 945 out, the one that could support DDR3 memory and recently it also decided to launch Phenom II X4 955 clocked at 3.2GHz. First and last ended up as Black edition. The latest addition is Phenom II X4 965 clocked at 3.4GHz and if Intel doesnt surprises us, this might be the fastest clocked quad core so far. Its product code is HDZ965FBGIBOX and it shows up at plenty of spaces including here and it even got a price. You can preorder one here and this was the cheapest one, listed at £ 177.30 . This sum translates to some €205 or about $330 which also makes it incredibly affordable. Phenom II X4 should also be a black edition and should fit to 125W TDP. [X-Bit] AMD Phenom II X4 965, Athlon II X4 630 Due in August Advanced Micro Devices, the world’s second largest maker of x86 microprocessors, plans to introduce its new high-performance quad-core microprocessors in August. The most important updates will be AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition, the new top-of-the-range desktop chip by AMD, as well as AMD Athlon II X4 630, the first quad-core Athlon processor that is aimed at mainstream market. AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Processor will be clocked at 3.40GHz and will feature 2MB L2 cache (512KB per core), 6MB L3 unified cache, integrated dual-channel DDR2/DDR3 memory controller and will support all the latest technologies found in AMD processors. The chip will be in AM3 form-factor, hence, will be able to work in both AM3 and AM2+ platforms that support 125W thermal design power. The new processor will boost performance of AMD’s high-end quad-core chips ahead of the back-to-school season, which will improve competitiveness of AMD’s desktop family of chips. Sources familiar with AMD’s plans said that the company plans to formally unveil the chip on the 13th of August, 2009. AMD Athlon II X4 630 based on the code-named Propus core will be the first quad-core chip carrying Athlon brand and will also be the first quad-core processor from AMD aimed at mainstream product segment. AMD Athlon II X4 630 clocked at 2.80GHz will feature dual-channel DDR2/DDR3 memory controller (depending on platform) and 2MB L2 cache (512KB per core), but will lack L3 cache. Relatively low clock-speed as well as the lack of third-level cache will make the new chip rather economical in terms of power: TDP of the new processor is 65W. AMD is projected to release the Athlon X4 630 on the 23rd of August, 2009, along with its new AMD 785G core-logic with integrated graphics. Later this Fall AMD also plans to release Athlon II X4 models 600e (2.20GHz), 605e (2.30GHz) and 620 (2.60GHz) to address different market segments. Sunnyvale, California-based AMD also plans to launch new triple-core Athlon II X3 central processing units sometimes in September or October to complete its new lineup of chips made using 45nm process technology that is aimed at mainstream and entry-level price-segments. Pricing of the new chips is not known at present. AMD did not comment on the news-story. [TPU]AMD Athlon II X4 ''Propus'' 600 Quad-Core Chips Include 45W Models AMD's 45 nm desktop processor lineup involves three basic core designs codenamed Deneb, Propus, and Regor. Deneb is the flagship design, which features four cores, two 64-bit DDR2(/DDR3) memory controllers, and a large L3 cache of 6 MB. When one core is disabled, the Phenom II X3 "Heka" processor is yielded, when 2 MB out of the 6 MB of L3 cache is disabled, Phenom II X4 800 series processor is yielded, and when two out of four cores are disabled, Phenom II X2 500 is yielded. To cater to sub-$100 market better, AMD needed to cut the manufacturing costs while maintaining a reasonable level of performance, and substantially low TDP ratings. Hence the company designed the Propus quad-core chip, which physically lacks an L3 cache. The lack of L3 cache chops the transistor load on the die, as well as its TDP. AMD further plans to yield a triple-core Athlon II X3 "Rana" processor using this die, by disabling one of the four cores. The third die design, Regor, features no more than two cores physically, and lacks an L3 cache. As an added bonus, the L2 cache per core is doubled to 1024 KB (2 MB total L2 cache), and HyperTransport multiplier set high (10 x 200 MHz). Some of AMD's first products based on Propus have surfaced thanks to a leak from a motherboard manufacturer. It reveals an initial lineup of four models, including two low-wattage ones. Enter Athlon II X4 600e, 605e, 620, and 630. These chips' clock speeds range between 2.20 and 2.80 GHz. Unlike with Regor, each core on the Propus keeps 512 KB of L2 cache, which makes it 2 MB of total L2 cache. The most surprising part of the specs is the TDP of the low-wattage chips, with the 2.20 GHz 600e and 2.40 GHz 605e, is 45W. In comparison, it took a clock-speed of 2.00 GHz for the previous-generation 65 nm Agena core to reach a TDP rating of 65W. The 2.60 GHz 620 and 2.80 GHz 630 have TDP ratings of 65W. We reckon these chips to hit shelves in this quarter. Below is a die-shot of the Propus core. It bears quite some resemblance to its 65 nm ancestor. NB Freq = HTT X NB Multiplier..
HT Link try make it lower..and so NB Freq..maybe around 1500..Since this for testing purpose only..And for the RAM..try lowering the divider..For now u are finding CPU stability 1st.once done..then only tweak others. |

Since blend cannot..There must be something wrong with your RAM and NB Frequency tuning....
For now..try tweaking the RAM and NB Freq..You gotta try..no matter what If we dont try..we wont know.. |

Then..i said again..lower more ur NB Freq..maybe around 1800?Since it help reduces stability..We are finding max clock for CPU...later time we will manage the NB..

Yeah..thats why me rarely use "stressing" tools..usually if gaming fine..everything is fine no BSOD..considered good edy..But still sometimes..for extra-care i do test..but not so long la - -..Usually 30 mins sth like that..

AMD Sempron is based on Regor?..Which Regor is X2..so mostly it can unlock to X2 only lor..not X4..Cos X4 is Propus
But still..i was hoping AMD would release an AMD Sempron X2 @RM135 but with 1MB Cache.(512KBx2)..That would be an awesome chip |
