Saw a few guys preparing for the mizuno run yesterday.
Some pancit though. tongue.gif

Was at the UPM stadium for gym and sprints. Man, I've slowed down ALOT lol.
And don't attempt to sprint with loose running shoes!

Question for ccube :

I'm seriously considering the Newton shoes, I've been running on my forefoot for quite sometime now & I guess with Newtons I can take it up a notch & get better performance. Question is, if I can afford only one Newton shoes, which one would U recommend ? The trainers or the racers ?

Thanks.

If you want to use it for training as well as racing then the Trainer will be a better option. Weight wise there isnt lotsa difference but the Trainer will last longer in terms of wear & tear as the heel area had the black compound material. Whereas the Racer do not have it hence its a bit lighter.

Well, it's more like an investment. Judging from Choi's blog about some of the testers' verdict during the McDonald's run & Siemens run, I think it's worth a try. Maybe he can let me try the shoes first before buying... can ah Choi ? tongue.gif

Now, I just need to find an excuse to tell my wife why should I buy a shoe that would cost more than all my current running shoes.. combined !!! hmm.gif hmm.gif

shud fit well based on ur current shoe size. most of my customers stick to their current size when buying Newton. I hv a US11 Stability Racer trial shoe. You can take it for your test run. Maybe can meet u somewhere so that u can pick it up.

Hmmm never thought of that, i just run according to my own comfortable pace. It took me about 42 minutes (really slow i know compared to you guys lol but still actually faster than all the casual guys at where i run).

But have seen the UPM runners at the UPM track before...crazy...

But have run with my friends before and they're quite a lot slower and it was easier of course.
True what you said above.
