@gyver & megatron007,
Chances are that U won't be successful in getting ur i3GS tomorrow if U just do a walk-in COD. Booking periods at the moment are about 25-30 days. |

QUOTE(megatron007 @ Aug 28 2009, 11:06 PM) ha ha. the legendary megatron007. one of the few pioneers of the iPhone thread in LYN! way before i even got hold of my first generation iPhone anyway, i reckon that "COD on the spot" will only be a reality once the hotlink equivalent goes live again. that should be a good indicator, maxis is having stock surplus and a healty inventory level This post has been edited by nokia2003: Aug 29 2009, 12:13 AM |

Bro.. it is common sense if you read this thread. Every single new booking no matter iValue or iData will need to wait up to 30days. |

QUOTE(avars @ Aug 28 2009, 09:22 PM) i bought from machines, use cimb cc for CIMB promo, any purchase >1k can call for 10mths EPP juz 3% fixed or >3k for 20mths 5% fixedIphone Price: RM2590 (32GB, idata2, 1 year contract) minus RM200 paid for deposit = RM2390 plus 6% bank charge for instalment = RM2533.4 divide by 12 months = RM211.12 monthly p/s: bank charges may varied, like 1 of the forummer said we could report the shop, from what i know the bank charges should be bear by the shop not the consumer for other CIMB cust do not EPP at the store but call CIMB for special arrangement... |

QUOTE(ToyotaKaki @ Aug 29 2009, 09:18 PM) No.. only iValue Plans but you can arrange directly with your card issuer if they provide flexi payment for purchases above RM 1k. As mac.tay mentioned above, CIMB allows that but you need to call them first before making the transaction. |

I have a big question.. Will i get charge if i use my wifi at home and then disable edge and 3G using iphonenodata?(when wifi is off, i can't access to safari, maps and apps store) .
Apparently, my phone bill for this last month is RM800 over - for only 2 weeks. It is because maxis have not approve my ivalue 1 plan..due to some confusion between the dealer and maxis so my charges are base on Maxis mobile internet charges. Now they promise to waive the rm 800 cos i suppose to be in Ivalue 1 plan so the data is consider as my data for last month. I got shocked when i find that my bill is Rm800 because i only online using WIfi and shut off edge and 3g. Even if they charge under the maxis mobile internet fee (0.1 cent /kb) but it wouldn't be so expensive. It will be around 80mb = RM800. As in my iphone - i only used (sent 13kb and recieved 153kb) because i accidentally use the 3g on the first day to download an app. I complain to Maxis today and the girl at center said that if the wifi connection is not stable, then it will switch to edge /3g. is this true? but then, i had disable the edge and 3g? Now i have to wait for my bill to be itemized in 2 days to find out. thank you |

@edeon1,
If Ur using ur Wifi network and not using EDGE/3G, U won't be charged. If Ur Wifi network disconnects, ur phone will automatically connect via EDGE/3G. If U have disabled 3G on ur i3GS, ur phone can still connect to EDGE; the connection is just slower. If U want to totally cut off 3G/EDGE/data services from ur iPhone 3GS, please refer to http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/868281 |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 29 2009, 11:50 PM) @edeon1, thanks tinkerbel, you are always very helpful..now i know where that RM800 goes. luckily they will waive it since is less than 250mb.. if not.. have to tie my stomach and try puasa for this month.If Ur using ur Wifi network and not using EDGE/3G, U won't be charged. @edeon1,
You were charged RM800 just on data charges?! I thought there was a cap limit of RM250?! Or maybe that's for those who's oredi subscribed to some form of data charges. I sure hope Maxis doesn't make a blunder with mine cause I terminated my RM99 Unlimited Plan to sign up for iData 2 when I collected my i3GS. Ah well... will know soon when the bill comes in about 2 weeks time *grins* |

@edeon1,
That being the case, even your call charges will be affected because the iValue plans include RMX for call charges + RMX for data charges. Better check ur bill properly and don't let Maxis benefit from their mistake *smiles* Am glad however U got everything sorted out *grins* |
