Does that mean that once you get the phone, your plans won't directly switch to Idata or ivalue but have to wait the following month?? As i'm taking idata2, so basically it won't be affected what. How come my data charges RM200+

if i want to get my iphone 3gs using ivalue2 12th months contract, i have to pay 200 for deposit, and then pay the rest of 1990 when i collect the phone right? and 155 for each month? quite confuse with "iValue 2 at RM620 for 24 months and RM200 for 12 months" terms that they put in the plan rates, and does maxis opens on merdeka day? or i can get it from MEP outlet such as machines or switch?
anyone? |

the RM620 is prepayment which mean u pay upfront first. So the next 5 mths u dun need to pay. Thats what the salesperson told me.

@zeropulse,
By right when ur plan will be activated upon the collection of ur i3GS (or about 2-3 hours thereafter) hence U shouldn't be slapped with a bill for data charges if ur usage is within what's stipulated in ur plan. I suggest U contact Maxis re the discrepancy in ur bill. @wen9x88, U ought to weigh the pros and cons on ur own; we can't tell U which is best but if I had to work 1.5k for a phone, it wouldn't be an old phone. @hellwaker, Cheapest in what sense?! It's the cheapest because U aren't locked into a contract. But there's no rebate on the i3GS. @finecut, Don't post twice next time; just wait it out for someone for to reply U or call up Maxis for the information - To pre-book the i3GS U will need to put in a RM200 non refundable deposit. - U can use the RM200 deposit to offset the price of the i3GS upon collection of phone - No, Maxis is closed on Merdeka Day; MEP outlets at malls MAY be open - Yes U can get it at APR/MEP/Maxis @mac.tay, It may be possible though apparently there's been some handsets going for RM1.2k. I sold my i3G for almost RM2k This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Aug 30 2009, 10:11 PM |

I got few qs.
1) Can i port from DIGI prepaid to Maxis Postpaid to buy iphone? 2) Can my unused balance be transfered to Maxis Postpaid account upon activation of my porting? (maxis Iphone promoter say yes?!) 3) My local call usage less than rm30 per month and I call oversea to my friend(Asia) at lease once per week. Last time in road show, the promoter suggest me to get 30plus+50rm data package. But I need to pay rm2k+ for 16GB 3GS. Is it the best package for my scenario? Thx |

@airbag_grado,
1) Yes U can port from DiGi to Maxis to purchase the i3GS 2) Am not sure if ur existing prepaid credit can be brought over but it would be weird if it's possible since those monies weren't paid to Maxis 3) If U don't want to commit urself to a voice plan; RM30 p/month or something I think U can always port in from DiGi to sign up on the Standard Plan & then just link the iData 2 plan on ur iPhone 3GS. The iData 2 plan will give u 500MB of data p/month and that should be more than suffice. It will also cost u RM50 for that. |

I also think the promoter is talking something not valid about qs 2 I asked. I paid to DIGI not maxis, sound lot of work for them to transfer and is illogical to a corporate to let go money they have earned. I will ask again when I have decided to port over. But i have just reloaded rm50. Is it advisable to port early before iphone ready to collect?

@hellwaker,

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Aug 30 2009, 01:16 AM) @edeon1, finally everything is clear now. The rm 800 is not my data usage cos I have disable my edge and 3g. It is actually a penalty that generate automatically during the confusion of switching the plan from ivalue to family plan during the process I got my phone. They thought I terminate my contract, so they charge me for that. Now they help me to clear the charge. Everything is fine now.That being the case, even your call charges will be affected because the iValue plans include RMX for call charges + RMX for data charges. Better check ur bill properly and don't let Maxis benefit from their mistake *smiles* Am glad however U got everything sorted out *grins* |

@airbag_grado,
I think the entire port-in process takes between 24-72 hrs hence U can do the port in just before U pick up the i3GS? Best to check with the Maxis people @edeon1, |
