QUOTE(agent_orange @ Jul 24 2009, 08:22 AM) well, this info came from the staff of machines mid valley.. the thing is, they accept easy pay installment for purchase of iphone 3GS.. nice, bcoz different shop gives different rate i guess, so confirm ya machines mid valley? (not garden?) if so, ill place booking there*added* tinkerbel is a moderator now? Added on July 24, 2009, 10:52 amToday im feeling good n called Machines at different outlets to get the monthly instalment rates Mid Valley 2% for 6months, 4% 12 for months Gardens 4% for 6months, 6% for 12 months Suria KLCC No monthly instalment Sunway Pyramid No monthly instalment Lot 10 No monthly instalment 1 Utama(Old Wing) Havent decided yet, waiting for HQ memo? >.< after all too far away from my place so i just let them be IMPORTANT Lastly, ive called the machines at the Gardens and the guy said the rates offered at his shop should be the same to all other machines shops (coz the order came from their HQ) while the rates given by mid valley shop are actually for everything else in the shop except for the iphone. QUOTE(teikwing @ Jul 24 2009, 01:38 PM) i think all of them, but the 1 dat some forummer mentioned earlier thats depending on banks, u made the transaction 1st then u will call ur bank to make it as instalments, i can confirm that cimb does offer dat, do payment 1st, call them up to make it as instalments but still subject to approvals, Maybank doesn't do anything like dat |

QUOTE(avars @ Jul 24 2009, 10:27 AM) the rates given by mid valley shop are actually for everything else in the shop except for the iphone. so to sums up what the garden's guy said:- -All the rates offered by them are from their HQ and shud be applied to all machines -2% for 6months, 4% for 12months (all stuff but iphones) -4% for 6months, 6% for 12months (iphones) but still, im taking my chances to get lower rates by buying from machines mid valley |

the new ivalue plan is out at http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone3gs/rateplan1.asp

QUOTE(zeropulse @ Aug 26 2009, 11:39 PM) Hey guys, i just got my bill for my phone and found out that i have rm200+ for data charge. I am currently on the Idata 2 plan. How come maxis still did not switch my usage to the plan? any ideas? Just pay 1st (up 2 u, but the best choice to avoid network interruption), bring ur bill to the big maxis center (KLCC is the best option) and sort it out asap. they screwed up my plan too, i opt for idata2 but they registered me as idata3 user, most probably they wont refund ur money, but u get the rebate in ur next bill, hope this helps |

QUOTE(LEVIATHAN @ Aug 28 2009, 06:15 AM) I'm using hotlink, and I bought an iPhone 3gs early August via prepaid plan and gave it to my mother. Now I'm buying another set, this time with iData 2. Am I correct when I say commitment fee means, doesnt matter how much ur monthly usage is, u still need to pay minimum RM50 monthly, even if ur monthly usage (calls n smses) is still below RM50, but if u exceed RM50 then u need to pay RM50+RM x(extra charges)![]() To pre-order an iPhone, I'm required to convert my current prepaid number to postpaid, select a postpaid plan, and on top of that, pick up the iData 2 plan? ![]() In the picture above, what does Commitment Fee mean? Is the fee to be paid once during the sign up? ![]() Say, I sign up for Value Plus 50, and then iData 2. With that, my monthly bill will be RM50+RMX (iData 2 monthly fee + whatever usage for a particular month). Am I correct? Kindly advise. so if u opt for idata2 ur monthly fee will be:- RM50 (commitment fee) + RM50 (idata2) +(extra charges *if ur usage exceed RM50*) n im not sure if MMS charges are considered data usage or not p/s: to safe more, opt for e-bill, safe RM5 monthly |

QUOTE(djkeoni @ Aug 28 2009, 08:09 PM) Heya Tinkerbell or teikwing or whoever knows, i bought from machines, use cimb ccWanna ask info regarding the Easy Payment Scheme, From my understanding, as it states in the first FAQ page: "Easy Payment/Monthly Installment Plan for iPhone 3G/3GS: Maxis Centres: QUOTE 0% interest Easy Payment Plan available for iValue Plan subscribers only (iData TBC). Prepayment of monthly fee is required. For more info, refer to iValue Plan & details in Post #2. Only applicable to credit card holders of selected banks: Maybank (up to 24 months) Public Bank (up to 12 months) HSBC (up to 12 months) Citibank *No processing fee for HSBC & Citibank (credits to jssl & silverarrow) Machines Outlets: *Rates might be bank-dependent, do verify with respective banks before purchase QUOTE Accepts Maybank , AmBank , HSBC , CIMB & Citibank Surcharge for 6 months and 12 months Installment Plan , 2% for 6 months and 4% for 12 months . More information about the installment payment, call Machines 1U @ 03-7727 2606 (credits to boringpig) > Amex Gold CC: 0% interest on installments for purchases made up to December 2009 (credits to tinkerbel) > Direct Access MasterCard: 0% interest on installments for purchases made up to December 2009 (10 months installment =min. RM1000, 20 months installment = min. RM3000) (credits to jackhammer84)"| So basically it seems to me that if I buy at the Maxis Centres I can only use the said cards for the purchases of the iValue plans right AND if bought at Machines can use other cards too ya. Situation is I do not want the ripping off iValue since im already a postpaid user hence i wanna take the iData plans which Maxis finds unworthy of being within the Easy Payment Scheme. So I was thinking yeah, if a Direct Access Card is used as mentioned, which is for any purchases within the limits defined, do you think I could still purchase the phone with iData using that scheme hence enjoying the 0% installments? Thanks! Hope its clear what I'm saying! Iphone Price: RM2590 (32GB, idata2, 1 year contract) minus RM200 paid for deposit = RM2390 plus 6% bank charge for instalment = RM2533.4 divide by 12 months = RM211.12 monthly p/s: bank charges may varied, like 1 of the forummer said we could report the shop, from what i know the bank charges should be bear by the shop not the consumer |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Sep 5 2009, 10:33 AM) Guys, I am still confused about the free local calls subject for Value Plan 1 (RM 100 = Gives 337 free minutes). If I exceed the free quota allocated, I will be charge 15 cents/min. However, these additional charges applies after the RM 100 or they only start counting after you used up the free minutes allocated? For example, for this particular month I would used up to 700 minutes, do the extra charges is RM 54.45 cents. Do I have to pay RM 154.45 cents or RM 100 (Since I use below the commitment rate)? iValue1= RM100 = RM50 (talk time, 337 minutes) + RM50 (500MB data). And how do 500mb worth of free data fare well with everyday usage of MSN and google talk? Is it feasible? Oh by the way can I subscribe to value plus? (The one that gives 8 cents/min and 1 cent/sms to 8 favorite Maxis numbers) if exceed the given talk time need to pay extra so i would like to suggest value plan 50 + idata2 = RM100. Reason: Cheaper call rate n bundled with sms too, even though the revised ivalue also includes sms but i think its only for maxis to maxis As for the 500MB monthly data usage, try for a month or two first. If u think u need to use more, u can always upgrade. Reminder: Downgrade will be penalized. This post has been edited by avars: Sep 5 2009, 12:09 PM |

(im few who got the phone damn early during launch, hotlink still available then) i seldom call and cant even finish 100mb of the 500mb free data entitled for first month usage... after 1 yr, can i opt for Value first + iData rm30? tat will make my bill only rm60+/month |

QUOTE(tabs @ Sep 7 2009, 11:38 AM) hmm.. yday i go ask machine for installment for iphone.. they told me only surcharge 4% then no more ad.. mean can installment without any interest.. then i go for 12 month without any extra charges.. just 4% surcharge for the processing fees.. am i correct? yep, lets say the phone price is RM2590 for 32GB idata2 price.just to double confirm Price after minus deposit paid(RM200) = RM2390. Plus 4% bank charge 1.04*2390= RM2485.6 Please note that percentage of installment charge depending on which bank's cc that ure using. Divide by 12months = RM207.13 will be charged to your cc monthly. No extra charge if u pay to your cc before cutoff date. And i have a feeling ive posted something similar to this before. QUOTE(tabs @ Sep 7 2009, 12:03 PM) oh.. mean 4% bank charge/processing fees sure got de la and won't have any installment interest if i pay before cutoff date? if no payment made before cutoff date u will kena late charge My replies in bold above, n btw i think ur questions should not be asked here but i feel kind today to answer them asked maybank is 4% other is 5% so use maybank cc can de lo.. not selected card only can use? this 1 need to ask the shop itself, different bank different charge, some charge are too big the shops not willing to bear them so they charge the customer n some dont even want to use the bank's cc, some forummer said that we can report to Bank Negara if the shop charge u extra if pay using cards hehe.. newbie cc here.. can use auto transfer? mean auto pay by other account when the time is come? I think Maybank2U got such thing, need to double check with them got such thing? haha.. english cacat.. paiseh.. This post has been edited by avars: Sep 7 2009, 12:50 PM |

QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 13 2009, 03:17 PM) no self control needed. infact i dont even bother to use Cellular Data Network to key in wrong characters etc to turn off Maxis data. I set my wifi and data to be on all the time. I surf daily without any restrain and yet my usage is only 212MB for my first month. I do have Notification and Push set to off though how frequent u need to charge ur phone bro if u let the internet access up all the time? do u have facebook or instant messenger applications up as well? |
