Just wanted to ask for some advice from all the sifus here. I recently booked the 3GS (1 mth waiting period) and was told that I can still change the plan and contract period upon receiving the iPhone.

During the sign-up I indicated my preferred plan was iValue 1 with 24 mths contract.

My situation is such... been a Maxis postpaid user for more than 10 years so the 24mths is no big issue in my opinion. Afterall the savings on the iPhone is more desirable. Currently I am Value Plus 80 plan.

Knowing I am a app, gaming, email user and social networking freak, I am a tad worried whether the iValue plan is sufficient as I do not want to incur excessive charges for over usage.

So my question is:
Should I stick with iValue 1 or can you kind fellas advice a better option?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks teikwing. I also heard that the 500mb data is pro-rated each day... is that true?

Yea I am contemplating on getting either IValue2 or stick with my Value Plan and just add iData3 but that would make the iPhone more expensive though.

Hey guys,is the ivalue1 Rm100 monthly is Rm50 for calls Rm50 for data?

Yes... so be careful and track your data usage as to not incurring a huge bill at the end of the month.

I'm on iValue 100, got my phone on 1st August, but 10 days later got bill. They prorate my 500MB, 10/31 days. And then decide to slap me with 180 bucks worth of data charges, because i was happily using the data thinking that i have a month quota to use. Blady Maxis
*
Yea.. exactly what I asked much earlier... my friend was also billed the same manner whereby the 500MB is actually prorated which means we can only use approx. 16MB per day only. Anything more, we will be charged.

Unfortunately no one here seems to be having the issue though.. well till you brought it up. I am keen to find out so I can decide which plan to take when my iPhone arrives.

@tj01,
We've previously cautioned re pro-rate of charges by Maxis; just too bad U didn't read those posts sad.gif

@vectorian,
What issue are U referring to that you're keen to find out?!

*
Hi TinkerBel... well I just want to confirm that are we really confined to use the iValue 1 plan for example to a pro-rated 500MB usage on a daily basis?

If you can kindly paste the link to the discussion you mentioned above would be greatly appreciated cause I can't seem to find it.

Thanks TinkerBel for clearing that up. Feel confident now with the iValue 1 I decided on during booking.

Cheers!

wanna ask, if i go over maxis today with mah moolah, and ask for convert from digi to maxis postpaid, and get myself on iphone3gs ivalue1 package, and get my new iphone then? can it be done?
*
Bro.. it is common sense if you read this thread. Every single new booking no matter iValue or iData will need to wait up to 30days.

can we go for ezy payment plan for the iphone 3GS if we are going for prepaid plan?
*
No.. only iValue Plans but you can arrange directly with your card issuer if they provide flexi payment for purchases above RM 1k. As mac.tay mentioned above, CIMB allows that but you need to call them first before making the transaction.

Hi all otai here..  i need a suggestion here biggrin.gif

before this i have plan to buy an iphone prepaid plan with credit card. since there is not available for this  package so i decide to buy ivalue 1 plan. i have to pay monthly fee RM100 * 12 months contract and pay for the iphone price RM1990 got easy payment 0% interest compare to prepaid plan i have to pay RM2490 using credit card and plus interest should be around 3K.

is it worth ?

help.. help

That is exactly why I opted for the 0% interest free plan using HSBC. Actually the RM100x12 months for me is no difference from the Value 80 I was using cause it is only extra RM20 per month.
