i booked mine on 1st augustand paid the deposit, no news till today...then went the centre to ask, the attendant told mi nvr receive any deposit and help check wif it, later then i receive a confirmation email...

nothing is 100%, so what we can only do is hope for the best, even if they only allow booking for prepaid, is good enough, rather than nothing.

but what i get from 2 maxis staff, both of them say the same, able to do walk-in purchase, a.k.a buy on the spot, so i'm assuming no need booking.

anyway good luck trying to rip-off sell your i3GS.

dude, i am not sure, thats why im asking, between i saw it saids so on the maxis iphone website, and it doesnt appears to have any terms and condition, so im asking here, coz i just dun like to meet promoters... =( sorry if i did ask stupid questions.

well sometimes, it is not about the questions to be honest.

they have to realistic of course.

the market price for an officially unlocked 3G 8GB unit (used) itself can scoop as low as RM1200.

that is the first point.

the second one, is the fact the trade in phones generally carry a much lesser value (since it saves one hassle of selling himself/herself)

That's the way u do ur business, its ur problem.
The fact is maxis is gonna release their hotlink plan sooner or later.
Whether it's on september or not, nobody knows. But whenever the stock is stable, i'm sure they'll be selling it without require u to book.
It's not like Maxis will forever doing this booking stuff in order for u to purchase an i3gs.
BTW, he's just sharing the information with us and what's the problem with that?

Impossible, I was at KLCC on 1/8/09 and talk to 1 guy come all the way from terengganu to collect his Iphone 3gs. The internet system was down at Maxis (walau... internet provided), so he is waiting..

He got no 4, and I saw minimum 10 people waiting (that time is 9:30am).

Finally. Maxis said they do it manually.. what a shame as a service provider for internet...

Guys today just receive a card from maxis said that i'm entitled to receive rm500 rebate if i buy a new 3gs with them. But funny thing is that i alteady bought my 3gs on the 2 nd of august itself. So my question is can i claim the rebate using my recently bought maxis 3gs or do i have to buy a new one to get the rebate. P.S : i bought my 3gs using hotlink by the way. Thanks in advance

However I do get the same info from maxis center in klang, they say most probably they will clear all the prebook before the month of sept or early sept, that time anyone who wan iphone can walk in and buy without prebook. Maxis and Apple is not that stupid to let the shortage crisis go on for too long, they know for sure a lot of reseller will stockpile iphone for business purposes and deprive the real user who really wan an iphone.

u need to buy another new one n pay the amount in full , 500 rebate in ur account
