yea i think they allow 2nd batch booking since i booked mine last saturday at sunway pyramid maxis center.. pay 200 deposit and wait for 1 month according to them.

I was among the unlucky 1st batch that didnt get the phones on the selected dates.

I booked on the 18th July and paid deposit on 20th July. My original pickup date was supposed to be on the 7th August since I was outstation.

But I received sms from maxis klcc yesterday to collect my unit anytime before the 17th Aug.

I also overheard them say that they had 114 units in stock for the pre-booked customers, but when i collected my unit, the label was already no 72,

No extra stock at maxis KLCC, I've asked during my collection this morning. Sorry Guys, they did mention that there are some stocks awaiting customs release though, but you know CS la, they tell you anything just to satisfy you.. sometimes

better book early or not u have to wait longer time..... 2nd batch might not have extra cause for those book after 24 july r still waiting for it.... 1st priority r giving to those book earlier

I guess these might be one of their marketing strategies to get more ppl to sign in their plans since they're so despo for the iphone....

i have make the booking on 06/08/2009 for my hotlink prepaid. And the staff telling me, i will get my phone on 18/08/2009.

I believe you can expect that to happen probably next month. I believe even after all prebookers have got their iphones, maxis would still open the iphone for only contract to attract as many postpaid customers as possible. Only after the demand has subsided, prepaid customers can look forward to walk-in purchase hopefully.

As we can all learn from the past, it's better to take this news with a pinch of salt.
It's good news nevertheless.

i hope u succes in trying to convert ur plan...but what i think now is maxis take this chance ( when i3gs is Hot~ ) to make people tied contract with their telco...hmm

so i just patient from now to purchase it when it possible...sorry maxis i not interested with ur contract plan coz i use iphone in ove c aka other GSM telco.

lets hope Celcom or DiGi will offer their best in next gen apple devices....hokhokhok

maxis cs call me juz now and told that prepaid package is still unavailable rite now, but the walk-in customer can start buying their i3gs with prepaid package
when the stock arrive on September,but its still depend on the stock
coz they have to prioritize the customer who apply the contract-binded plan such as ivalue and idata.

noobquestion:

shud i inspect the device on the spot while im getting my i3gs at maxi centre or juz take it back and inspect it at home,cuz its embarrassing to open-box in front of maxis staff?
if bought from maxis is 100% sure safe,so dont need to inspect la rite?
