QUOTE(neoardi @ Aug 10 2009, 11:11 AM) hi desachan, can you PM me the selayang maxis center phone number?... btw, i already went to MC Seremban, and they said i have to booked (with RM200 deposit) in order to get the 3GS by next month.... They won't give the number for their maxis center outlet. You can only all the maxis CS. Personally I was informed that selayang maxis center got no stock edi. Stock will be in on the 18 of august. @mandyxt o means you are in gprs connection. Means your 3g or edge are off . E means you are currently in Edge coverage. QUOTE(elico @ Aug 11 2009, 10:15 AM) Well done maxis.. you finally activate my free 500MB data for my Hotlink after a whole week of delay, and now you create another problem for me, charging me RM98 for a Monthly(3GB) Passes.... which I didnt subscribe to it at all Anyone know what this Monthly 3GB Passes is??? No info could be found on Maxis website. I receive a SMS this morning saying i have successfully purchases the passes and it just deducted my account for RM98 and again i did the same by calling CS... all they can do is again make report... Just ignore that message. I think is their setting problem. I got this message too when they activate the free 500mb data. So far nothing goes wrong to my account, no deduction of that rm98. FYI I m using prepaid plan.

@elico
maybe you should try to emphasize on when can you actually get a proper answer, when you call up maxis CS. So that you could call them back if you did not receive any response from them on the time stated.
Because usually CS will just ask you to wait and wait, but by providing them some direction and time limitation, they might just speed things up.

QUOTE(elico @ Aug 11 2009, 02:03 PM) did they deducted your credit?... error or not my money is gone.. and that number is not an error to my eye... @swee5420 i have told them clearly what happen, and they all replied with the same reason: "It will take 3-7 working days....", then the next time i call, they will repliy with: "Your case is active and still under investigation..", then when i ask "could you speed up the process", all they can say is that "i try my best sir..." at the end of the day, CS still can only report the customer issue to Maxis Centre or the other relevant department, and they cant do anything else on the technical side... Then there is no need to worry already, since they have your report, i am sure that they will solve your problem, it is just a matter of time. Chill bro, at least you got your free data, just enjoy it first.

So the story start like this, when i got my 3gs on the last day of July, i realize that the phone has cracks on it, so immediately i request for a replacement. But the staff in maxis center said that currently there is none available stock, therefore he suggested me to keep the phone 1st, and come back on the 21 of august to complete the so called RMA form.
Today i went to the maxis center to complete the RMA, and i have repeated asking him whether i will get a new phone for the replacement, since most of the replacement phones are refurbish. The answer i get is the replacement phone will always be a new one. Of coarse i don't really believe it.
So the question is how do i differentiate whether the phone is refurbish or new one?

QUOTE(monzarela8 @ Aug 21 2009, 05:23 PM) wher is the crack? screen or shell?? quite hard to differentiate as they will try to make it as new as possible... depends on ur luck i gues... The crack was small hairline cracks which distributed near the headphone jack and also around the speaker

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Aug 21 2009, 05:41 PM) More often than not, a refurbished set will be given in replacement. Having said that however, since 3GS has only hit the market recently, Apple may not have too many of these refurbished yet or if they have any at all. Therefore, there is every liklelihood you will get a new unit. But for sure later, refurbished sets will be given out. So meaning that i will be unable to trace whether it is a new or refurbish? And since the fault occurred when it first came out from the box, do i have the right to request a new 1?
