guys, if i send in my 3G for warranty change, do they have stock then? mine is 16gb, which maxis isn't selling anymore?

I don’t really see such problem in the States or Australia from the availability check provided by Apple. Most of the stores are green.

You cant ask for the maxis center number for certain area, and try to call 123 and ask when u can get it. I just get mine at cheras Maxis center at 1. Using

So guys, can I buy the 3Gs in kl from maxis  store pay as you go?
Reason asking because some say cannot and some say can.

Hmm ... when Maxis sent their Corporate Account rep to my office to sign up 2 staff (1 of them is me la ), they guaranteed that the iPhone 16GB 3GS can be collected on 26th August, if August 18th no stock.

Today called that rep, and he said no news yet, so I called Maxis 1919 (Corporate Line) and spoke to a nice gentleman there. He said according to his system, our order has not been processed and they have no record of the order. WTF!    I told the CS that they have taken the FULL payment with guarantee that August 26th can get the phone. Now I don't mind waiting for the phone, IF you be honest up front and tell me that you have to wait for the phone for a month, but don't give me a date and then change you story after that! Total misrepresentation and makes MAXIS as a company look bad. 

After I explained that to him, he put me on hold and called up the processing center as I had mentioned that the 2 cheques had been cleared by Maxis. He comes back on the line and says that I can get my 2 phones 3 weeks from today, which is 1st week of September now.   

Sometimes I don't know why I'm still supporting Maxis.

More often than not, a refurbished set will be given in replacement. Having said that however, since 3GS has only hit the market recently, Apple may not have too many of these refurbished yet or if they have any at all. Therefore, there is every liklelihood you will get a new unit. But for sure later, refurbished sets will be given out.

no...in singapore all iphones are available only thru Singtel...u cant even buy with those prepaid plan like malaysia..if u buy in those handphone shop...the price would be more than 1.4ksgd for 32gb...those r usually ppl buy n sell back to them..

btw i went to an apple shop in johor..they told me whole malaysia is out of stock for 3GS..is it true??he said i gonna wait 2months or more for the stock..sounds abit ridiculous to me..i cant really sign a contract in singapore due to my current one with other service provider...so the malaysia prepaid thingy was a great option for me..

care to elaborate more on the australian store??i dont know whats that..haha...sorry for being too noob..

I bought the 3G one and a half month before they launch 3GS.  I was so pissed off with their arrangement of launching!! I feel like i've been ripe off, cause the 3G version price drop drastically. Since maxis planned to launch 3GS, they shouldn't have launch 3G in the first place!!

how long would we need to wait for 3gs booking ? maxis seems to be out of stocks everywhere... stupid maxis~

ps. i was told by the maxis ppl it takes up at least 30days~! WTF Thats 3Gs speed maxis is having there... I expect to walk in and buy when im paying heck load of money on the item... 

Wat else do u expect them to say? Are you happy with 'not sure' answer? Imagine you are the guy answering 20 calls asking the same question everyday for the past few weeks  you got to understand their feeling also, it's not the guy's fault u r not getting ur iphone...

wats the point hundreds of ppl call to maxis cs everyday asking the same thing. it is not as though maxis is not already aware of the problem. i'm not saying ppl shouldnt call to check, but wats the point of asking the question when you already know the answer.

Wow....can change color, I also would like to change to black color from my pre-booked white color. Coz im worried that white color will become yellowish after some period of time.

NO, there is NO WORLDWIDE iphone shortage, did u even read few posts back? after being told off, the maxis representative admit its just them (Maxis).

Please view Apple stores in US and Australia stock level, after every 9pm (their time).

Please note the date of articles u have googled.
