Hi guys~..im newbie here. erm,i wanna ask about losing weight. Im 16 or 15 this year,if i start diet now,is it still counted as late? and i dont know what to do(i mean start from where) haha...err~...I think tomorrow i will start to diet,but i still very worried cos i got gastric ( i think maybe becos i didnt eat on time or sometimes i skip meals for breakfast and lunch in school cos i dont know the proper menu or proper way to lose weight and it bring 1 benefit -> i dont feel like eating [isit a benefit..hmm]).. I hope u guys will help =)) I dont usually eat vege cos i dont like the bau...and i do love to eat bitter gourd cos i think is nice..hahahaha..err..i dont eat breakfast cos im a lazy person,i wake up late in the morning and sometimes i late to school..hahaha..so i dont eat breakfast... My school had 2 break..My recess time is around 10.30(is it breakfast or..) and lunch is 1++ and my school end at 3.15..

This is my list:

Breakfast 10.30
-Bread with cream inside it or sometimes i bring my own bread(two slides of bread with jam)

Lunch
-usually rice with chicken or fish (for veges it depends what veges that auntie sell)

Dinner
-rice with chicken or fish or ....

Exercise:
Wednesday - Dancing class but it doest really works cos im not sweating....i dont know why...

For fruits,i do love to eat fruits especially orange but i just ate them whenever i feel like eating..
Sometimes i will have snacks when im watching tv ( i know its a bad habit )

I started to watch what I eat at 23 yrs old, so it's definitely not late wink.gif
I used to eat a lot of potato chips, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, instant noodles, fast food etc..omg poisoning my body all this while. But what to do, young you don't care about all these things lol.
Try to eat at regular intervals, at least 3 full meals a day, and do not skip breakfast at all, your body needs to jumpstart its metabolism after not eating for 8 hours+.
Quick breakfast would be wholewheat bread, oatmeal, lowfat milk, half boiled eggs, tuna sandwich, fruit, etc.
Try to get roughly 30% protein, 50% carb, 20% fats in your diet. Maybe less protein since you don't weight lift, but more protein and less carbs makes it easier to lose weight. Fats should be 20-30%.

No it is not late,I started during your age as well because I just wanted to be fit.(Not to lose weight but to gain weight as I was skinny during that time)

Despite what you might hear,don't skip meals and start to live a healthy lifestyle.

I'll quote from a friend of mine(Who is an amateur bodybuilder) regarding going on a DIET :
A diet IS NOT weight loss. Diets are just simply what you eat on a regular basis. You could eat McDonald's cheeseburgers covered in ice cream 4 times a day, and you'd still be "on a diet." While eating like this would certainly be the worst of all diet plans, you get my point.

sorry im new here, i don't know where to post this so i previously posted this on the "shall we have a diet/workout post".
i hope its okay =)

i was just wondering wad kind of oats and cereal to eat? like quaker oats? and what cereal would be the best for dieting?
jacobs biscuits is the high fibre or the wheatmeal one?

U NEED LUNCH,lunch is the most nutritional meals for my body in a day
dont skip lunch,u can eat as usual like ur normal lunch..rice/noodles
i started to diet since last year August..i guess August/Sep
dont wonder when u can be slim,juz keep hav a clean diet and exercise!u would see the result
i always skip my dinner,dinner i take protein shake only..sometimes oatmeal,sometimes fruits
breakfast and lunch is very important to us,so dont SKIP it.

dun skip breakfast, it's the most important meal of the day.
eat less during lunch and lesser during dinner.
eat healthy food and do exercises regularly, there's no shortcut.

blink.gif tell ur fren that u had ur supper last night so today no need to eat anything. dry.gif

Eat ur breakfast, split ur meals into 5-6 or 8 and eat every 2-3 hours (depends on how many time u eat) with small portion, reduce carbs intake (100g a day max or below 150) and u can take more fat instead (from nuts, no no to animal fat).

In my opinion gardenia wholemeal bread is better than hi5 wholemeal bread. Look at the carb, protein and calorie amount. The more the protein the better. Protein is expensive. The less the calorie. The better. Calorie is cheap

oo... i usually buy the bakery's wholemeal bread.. not sure about the caloric values.. but i know there's a new brand called bakers brown. what brand of cereal would be the best?

I still find High 5's bread taste better than Gardenia.

@sasha,
maybe you can try muesli instead, taste much better and much more expensive.
