yea,i know the most matters is good health and look goods, number isnt that important,my fren said so unsure.gif
but my arms got lotta fats, the both side of my hip also sad.gif
i afraid if i build more muscle,my flesh will turn rigid and then i can never lose my arms and hip's fats already cry.gif
this is my current arms's picture sad.gif

haha your arms look fine ler...girls have more arm fat at the tricep area than boys for some reason, pretty normal. And NO muscle won't do such thing, dunno where you heard from, muscle will help burn calories and fat on their own.

Real life example: skinny guy vs big muscle man at the same height, who do you think burns more calories/fat and can eat more food everyday? easy answer.

I don't think girls can build muscle easily anyway, I'm a guy and I've been weightlifting trying so hard for the past 4 months but still can't see any visible muscle at all, rofl damn sad

QUOTE(richard3200 @ Apr 8 2009, 02:57 PM)
for breakfast, it would be a cup of milo only.
then during school recess time (10.45am) i would eat 1 plate of nasi lemak, 3 curry puffs, a slice of fried chicken.
for lunch usually i dont get anything till dinner
dinner about 7pm normally would be rice and mostly only meats. my family only cooks 1 plate of green vegetables and the rest would be on meat and soup and my mum is cooking the rice using the brown rice.
sometimes i would drive out and get a bowl of porridge, if i didn't eat anything for my dinner.

Usually plays badminton with my frens once a week for 2hours but would get easily tired after a match or 2.

If i were to go for jogging, wad should i get for my lunch and dinner and how far / long should i jogged?

Last year i hit the gym thrice a week but due to the hectic schedule i stopped after 2 months. After the gym session i would normally be very tired to study. Is there any advice for this as i am having my SPM soon and if i were to go to the gym again?

milo - a lot of empty sugar calories, switch to something healthier eg. eggs, low fat milk, wholemeal bread, oatmeal.

nasi lemak - rice in nasi lemak is full of extra fats, cut down as much as possible. Don't eat those peanuts fried in oil too.

curry puff - don't eat the whole puff pastry, less carbs the better.

your lunch - do not skip lunch, eat less during your recess time and eat something during your lunch to get your metabolism going throughout the day.

badminton - only once a week so it's insignificant

jogging - 3-6 times a week, 30-60mins each. Start at a much slower pace for the first week.

gym - SPM more important, so if you can't study after gym, don't. Weight lifting better in the long run than just cardio though.

hmm not really 'afraid' la, more like just not turned on by it, but shrug, some guys like it anyway. I mean, did you read that article in Section 2 in The Star 1-2 days ago? about that woman bodybuilder in SG? Damn huge man, and she doesn't look attractive to me at all. No BF too at around 33 years old. I mean, girls can weight lift, nothing wrong with that, helps metabolism and toning as well as burns more calories, but taking it to extremes doesn't look good imho. There are a lot of pics of american girls who weight lift to get a toned body, especially in hollywood like jessica alba etc, and that looks good.

Whole meal bread
Tomato, fried egg, pork fillet
Oat biscuit + cereal, i would be almost crying if i eat them without the cereal
Full cream milk

wow huge breakfast... if you wanna cut calories, change the fried egg to hardboiled/halfboiled egg and full cream milk to lowfat milk. I would say replace cereal with something else but you said can't biggrin.gif

Hi guys~..im newbie here. erm,i wanna ask about losing weight. Im 16 or 15 this year,if i start diet now,is it still counted as late? and i dont know what to do(i mean start from where) haha...err~...I think tomorrow i will start to diet, but i still very worried cos i got gastric ( i think maybe becos i didnt eat on time or sometimes i skip meals for breakfast and lunch in school cos i dont know the proper menu or proper way to lose weight).. I hope u guys will helpĀ  =))

and to ClarkFann, u roxxx!! u are so tabah!! xD

I started to watch what I eat at 23 yrs old, so it's definitely not late wink.gif
I used to eat a lot of potato chips, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, instant noodles, fast food etc..omg poisoning my body all this while. But what to do, young you don't care about all these things lol.
Try to eat at regular intervals, at least 3 full meals a day, and do not skip breakfast at all, your body needs to jumpstart its metabolism after not eating for 8 hours+.
Quick breakfast would be wholewheat bread, oatmeal, lowfat milk, half boiled eggs, tuna sandwich, fruit, etc.
Try to get roughly 30% protein, 50% carb, 20% fats in your diet. Maybe less protein since you don't weight lift, but more protein and less carbs makes it easier to lose weight. Fats should be 20-30%.

I hope you're comparing gardenias Breakthru bread to the high 5 one, not the gardenia green colour wholemeal bread, that one sucks.

2 slices(51.4g)
109 calories
1.5g fat
14.4 carbs
7.4 protein
4.9g fibre

When you sleep doesn't matter k. I sleep 4am sometimes, and sometimes I don't sleep throughout the night and sleep in the afternoon. I'm still losing weight.
Only sleeping duration matters, at least 7-8 hours.

i TRY to focus on my spm...coz im very concentrate on losing weight..too concentrate..im going to collapse
really,im now having thyroid prob, urine prob, low blood pressure,hypoglycemia,anaemia..lack of protein and vitamin A also
my skin is very very dry
would do medical check up sooner...i guess im risking my health by this..DIET.
i was DIET in a danger way..
*
OMG PLeaseeeeeeee have proper nutrition when dieting girl, you don't have to sacrifice your health to lose weight!
Get proper intake of veges/fruits/protein and carbs please...roughly 30-40% protein 40-60% carb 20-30% fat roughly.

When I eat chap fan I usually take 2 servings of vege, 2 servings of meat, with no rice at all. With a diet like that its easy to lose weight + be healthy at the same time. Have at least minimum 1 full meal a day with proper nutrition.

Take your time losing weight, what are you rushing for lol, its a lifetime effort to keep your figure in control, your SPM is much much more important. You will have plenty of free time after SPM believe me. And don't exercise to the extreme, 1 hour per day is more than enough for whatever goals you may have. I usually weight lift 3x a week for 50mins and do cardio 3x-5x a week 50mins each too. Seperate those times so your body can rest inbetween.

And be careful about cutting carbs too low, I notice I have much less energy to do cardio when I eat less carbs.

1. Qualification of doctor > qualification of random posters on an internet forum
2. Doctor has seen and examined her condition and symptoms physically. Noone here has.
3. You didn't specify what kind of supplements at all, how do you expect people to know?

I seriously don't get what people are thinking lol.
