Was wondering which Honda Service Centre is better at Old Klang Road? Need to send my car for inspection. Need good mechanics, honest & acceptable price. Need them to check my transmission.

Did a service back in home town but they say need advance booking for the inspection but thinking of doing it in KL since i don't have enough time.

all the honda service center has same pricing? no?

i prefer Klang, because there was once i had a problem with some sound near the front right tyre.. the branch in PJ, Shah Alam couldn't even diagnose the problem (keeps tightening screws, mount, etc to no avail). but when i mentioned it to one of the mechanics in Klang, they immediately ordered the parts and booked me an appointment the next week.. changed it, and no more sound!

Old Klang Road branch Peringgit Sri Motor is ok, but not so friendly and detail sometimes... Until now, Jalan 222 PJ branch Tenaga Setia offers the best for me.

I live near Old Klang road, so the 2 Honda's are my only choices, coz it's probably gonna take more than 1 day to diagnose, and hopefully fix the issue. So I have to take bas back.

The other one Saturday only open till 1pm.

All Honda service centres does not have the same price. It differs from one to another and I used to service in Ampang Westar but I learn that Chan Sow Lin and Peringgit Old Klang Road is actually cheaper.

My honda city(2010) was broken into thru tempering of the locks. had to change them. After sending it to tenaga setia to change them, i saw that the locks were scratched badly when its supposed to be new, keyhole was full of scratches. complained to the manager and he said that it was normal. i challenged him that none of the showroom cars would have so many scratches either. he agreed to change but had no parts so have to come back another day. The second time i went , i made sure i want to see the parts, he showed me a lock which wasnt the same size. i said what is this he said " its the civic lock, can use for city" What?? i disagreed and requested the change it to the city's lock. he said no stock so i had to come back another time! I asked them where they got their parts from, the man said " toing nam" but immediately changed when i asked where that is. i googled and found out its a second grade parts distributor! And yes, all Honda services centres are NOT CENTRALISED. One can charge RM1200 when another place charge RM400.

I think peringgit is one of the better option if you don't know much about Honda service centre. At least they look like a proper service centre.

I been there twice & i dun like one of the LCLY Service mgr/advisor for sure...Although Puchong SC is close to my house, I prefer the klang (Jln Bt Tiga) branch & purposely going there to service - fast, quick, humble & friendly. Furthermore free food & drinks! -

Infact my rear wheel bearing problem they told me my tyre allighment-lah using sport tyre & etc..Only at Klang Jln Bt Tiga - Nanyang correctly identified wheel bearing & refer me to claim warranty straight away. They also claim warranty for my 2nd engine mounting although both should be under wear & tear rclxms.gif Now they provide free nasi lemak in addition to free nescafe & free wifi. Located near the chinese school & opposite those spare parts rows in the middle of klang town..stone throw away from Klang bus station

Have been sending to them since 2005. Now new ride also send to them.

Yup, they are friendly but tend to be a bit careless in handling a person's car. Previously one of their technician caused some scratches to my old CT. Didn't notice it until I've driven the car home straight from SC.

So make sure, u check ur rides before leaving the SC.

i send my CT 09 to Peringgit Auto, Kuchai Lama.

This Center 100% got time slots for weekends. Although it will take almost half a day but u no need pre-book Saturday service in a month's time.

More like i really no choice since PJ service center normally all full during weekends. biggrin.gif

Do Honda service centres can properly service old Honda cars? I have a 93' Accord that needs carburetor retuning & coolant temperature diagnostics.

They shouldn't be. I mean, they're "Honda" mechanics, right? And Malaysia is not like Japan.

My car is still under warranty, but the service charges is crazy! Considering going to the mechanic that i used to go to when i was driving my other car.... I'm driving an Insight... would that be a good move?

No, because if something goes wrong with the battery, it won't be covered. The battery is one of the most expensive equipment right below the engine & transmissions.

The best for me is maybe the 1 in USJ. Been there a few times and like their customer service but have to wait blooooody long for my car. Too many ppl.

For Wergo, I think s the 1 at Cheras. Been there a few times as well, bad service and parked my car next to rubbish dump and got scratches at my car. Must be due to some rubbish thrown and hit my car.

Added on March 19, 2012, 5:21 pmFor sg long, never try that before even though very near my place.. Wahahah

Don't go to USJ service centre.

I have been sending my City to there for service for almost 2 years.

Almost every vist, they charged me RM700 to RM1,300

Result? Door got squeaking sound when unlock, jerking during stopping and stopped, squeaking sound come out from engine, rear brakes not functioning properly and worse, I paid RM300 for service the brake, nearly caught in accident when it fail to function properly. All the mechanic say is "come back next time, I'll fix for you"
Can't you do it all at once?

Unless your car is less than a year old, you can try service there.

i have this problem also. But normally it will be during cold starts. After that no sound.

My problem seems to be the shivering during idle. I send to 2 service centers, both came back with no problem, cant detect any problem of shivering.

i duno how to define the cranking sound is like .. mine is something like "tick" "tack" or "clumm" sound, just notice wat kind of sounds you hear if there is any when doing random gear change in stationary position with brake on and wind down your windows, notice is there sounds from engine room when doing random gear change position. thanks bro!

ps: the sound i mention is not from the gear column itself, its from engine room. hmm.gif

and as to answer your problems, during cold start the RPM is higher, so when you change gear during tat time, its definately will have some sounds. hope it clear your doubt that is not a problem.

thats what i thought it was, so i sort of think its normal.

what i m annoyed now is the lil shiver which cant be felt by the technicians.

Maybe i m just sensitive.

only on idle, both N and D also got abit.

The RPM remains there. Didnt quite notice drop and rise much.
*
how old your car and millage? if rpm remains there means its not a engine issue, and you feel shivering or vibrating mostly its a engine mounting issue but i dun think they will rectify it and only will say its normal as slightly shivering they wont do anything for you i guess and you can hardly request them to do anything as well if its really slightly....

let me check whether my car got any slightly shivering or not as i seldom use the car, its my parent who normally use the car, i just wondering how come the gear change got sounds when other made car normally dont have any sounds at all when change gear.

since cant do anything about it or else try other service center.

One thing i hate the most is warranty checks/claims only can be done during weekdays. Normally will need overnight, which sometimes its hard for me due to work.

i think yours most probably is the mounting issue.
i have time to check but always end up telling me its normal but never show me proof.
2nd nearest service center is 70km away.... my god...
btw thanks you for the gearbox sounds check. now i can argue back confidently.

Hi, I just bought a second hand 2010 civic S-L. Staying at sri-petaling and i think the closest honda service center to my place would be at old klang>>> Peringgit sri- Auto. Was thinking to send my car for check since it is still under warranty. But was wondering if i m able to do that cause the previous owner sent his car to Angkasa Jalan ipoh and is the car consider under warranty even if owner changed. Do i have to paid anything for the repair, parts or labour? Just found out that the engine mounting got problem and need to be changed and as well the fog lamp is misty. Is these parts all free if it's still under warranty? Do they provide original accessory or parts to changed the defect? And frankly how's Perringit services by all means? Pls Advice!

Tats the worst service centre I hv encounter before.
It really sucks and I think the service lady "the only one there" hv tarnished their branding!!
Can consider as a sales advisor but when I requested for honda's hq contact number and email, she say "DON'T KNOW"!!!

Agree with u. Both sc is suck for me. Kah motor promised to returned call regarding warranty claim but untill now none of them call me.

The glenmarie 1 simpy said that my brake problem is normal n they just tighten the undercarriage screw. Problem still persist.

Sometimes feel very dissapointing with honda after sales service and makes me feel regret to own a honda car.

I've been to a few Honda service center

ranking 1-10 (1 best.., 10 worst)..

1. Honda Global Amity - 8-9 (so far they're the best for me. their 2 step checking process is what keep me there, their normal technician always refer to senior service advisor if things are out of their expertise.. and they constantly promote their staff from junior to senior to lead (since they have 2 branches now.. some have been sent to Bangi now.. ). they open weekend as well. another plus point.

2. Peringgit Jln Klang lama - 5-6 only. (service is good, but counter staff a bit sombong..! always want to 'kencing' you for extra unnecessary stuff during servicing, but their service technician also good, able to troubleshoot issue that other service center failed to repair. But i stopped going to this place.. to full.. long waiting.. and their waiting area also not comfortable.

3. Tenaga Setia PJ - 1-2 >> worst! this is new service center.., tried once.. will never come back! my car involve in minor accident.. damage bumper.. sent there., during call - i've been deciding to sent to peringgit or Tenaga setia - but decide to Tenaga setia.., end up regretting my decision. lot's of issue.. among them - repair very slow, staff incompetent! lot's and lot's of revisit to complaint about stuff they put back not properly aligned, not fit in nicely.. producing sound.! they even reject things that are caused by them..! some faulty item also left unrepaired. The only good thing i can say about this place - it is new.. the place looks clean, service bay also clean.! but that does not transform into good service! staff shortage.. have to run 2 place.. sometime pinched upstairs to repair accident car, sometimes have to run downstairs to service normal car. complaint made to their manager also fallen to deaf ear..! so.. i think we all can forget about this place lah!

4. Kah motor - 1 - another worst performer! - go there once.. but will never go back! go there during my 40,000km service. major. a lot of item charged on the bill, but the item was either not changed or not done! I have heard also from other honda club member - this place is gonna cut your throat with all unnecessary charges.. item said changes but not done.. - all i can say - they're ruined their reputation from not being honest, maybe some employee are not being honest.. I'm being tipped about this thing by their own salesman which is my friend. (now resigned already). 1 extreme cases - 1 of my honda fd member saw their car engine oil was not changed and returned back just like that.. no wonder very fast. Avoid this place.! it's going down.. only people who don't read internet or join other honda friends (housewife.. auntie.. pakcik-pakcik) goes to this place. they survive by victimizing this type of customer.

hope the above information are helpful to all honda current and future owner. remember always to keep your receipt for future issue and to complaint at honda malaysia. remember to jot down the SA who servicing you.. and also note down the technician who servicing your car. Keep your eyes 100% on your car.. don't simply trust they will do everything they say..! if change engine oil.. insist on waiting a bit longer for all your old engine oil to be drained. once a while bring your own engine oil + flusher! they will have no excuse not to flush your engine before putting new engine oil.

Buy part from honda part center in jln ipoh.! cheaper.. and original. save your money from their ripper price.

I've been using Peringgit Sri Auto at Old Klang Road from day 1, and I have no complaints about their service, attention to detail and staff friendliness. Its all good. The only complaint I have is their rather small waiting area. Never tried the other Honda SCs before and I have no reason to, unless Peringgit screws up.

I only been to the 2 SCs along Old Klang Road...

Roda BB follows the schedule strictly, i.e. they won't ask u do/change unnecessary items. Bare minimum required to maintain the car at tip-top condition.

Peringgit always add in this and that doh.gif

Had my car svc here last month. Overall the svc is good but not excellent. Had to be extra careful as they too add other optional items to be replaced in their system first. Good thing, they informed as to whether there's a need for those but make sure they deleted the optional items from their system for they can make mistake as what happened to me.
Another thing, just got to know, one svc centre to another is not connected online, so they don't know what the other svc centre had done for your last svc. Either you bring the record of your last svc or they'll call up to enquire.

Svc record here I mean not only the svc booklet but the detail receipt of the last svc.

So can I conclude that, overall, a few good choices of Honda SC to go:
1. Global Amity (abit far for me though)
2. Peringgit OKR (caution on adding extra things)
3. Roda BB OKR
4. Jln 222 PJ

Am I correct? Please advise. Thanks!

Where did you buy your car from? If you bought your car from a 3S center such as HNZ Glenmarie then it is best to go back to your sales advisor and ask him to book an appointment for service there.

Did my first service at AutoWorld Sg Buloh, called them yesterday for appointment but was told appointment needed only on weekend. So, was there at 8am, place seems to be tidy, spacious and in the morning, not much customers .. at least until I left at an hour later. Didn't check the pantry but they've coffee machine and stuff. Since this is my first service (or check since nothing much they need to do except fixing a rattling sound coming out from the 3rd brake light), it was quite fast .. So, for now, I'll give them a thumb up. Will see later..

Different is your SA can help you cut queue. Some of major service center in PJ their appointment normally full for a month. So if you really need to service car and your SA can help then it does.

But there was once a "product update" and mine was scheduled 5months later. I called up my SA, he help me to cut into 1 month. biggrin.gif

Will see later..

you know how Honda operates in Msia rite. Service center A and be different from Service center B in terms of operation and general stuff.

Mine can book weekdays. But general rule is that no check or warranty claims during weekend, strictly service only.

Normally i dont even bother book weekends, 95% it will be full till next month.

Hi all. The 'D' on the panel is blinking. After I switch off my engine and turn it back, the problem is gone. I'm driving a 2004 i-dsi city.

I'm totally new to PJ. And would like to know the nearest yet reliable service centre.

If you choose to go to Global Amity. Please take note on certain thing. I've been con by their staff multiple of time. Their staff didn't advise properly on which is standard service and which is optional service items. Some of their "service advisor" are not being transparent. End up you'll pay more than needed.

My car is also having the same problem for the past 1/2 year. Always jerking. Went to few times at Peringgit also can't rectify the problem.

Any other good service center to recommend?

How about the Honda 3S center at Jalan Bersatu? Any comments?

i can only tell which one NOT to go to. the SC in Semabok, Melaka is terrible. went there the first time and the over the counter girl wasn't in a good mood which resulted in my car door banging another car when she opens up my door. both cars got paint chips and not even a sincere sorry. told her to fix it and she used a random white paint to touch it up and it looks like using a liquid paper to cover up. My car is in pearl white anyway. only when i complaint to the service manager she took care of the issue seriously.
my 2nd time there, they simply forgot to service my car. hours after leaving my car in the SC it was left untouched.

Never to go there again.

I went Old Klang Road, Perringit services. They told the data/info our services record does not sync with others service center.

How do you guys keep track when you change service center? On your own receipt or can we ask service center to print whole record? Just over 3 years and no more warranty. I'm planning to go for "Ah Beng" service center, price should be more cheaper than Honda biggrin.gif

Been servicing there for years. Quite fast i'd say. There's one Service advisor that explains in detail if there's any parts that needs to be serviced or changed . I don't rmb his name or anyone's name, can only give a description of Jim heh

Alignment and balancing they sure charge u for it unless u just did it with them and still feel shaky.
For that I rather do it at the shop opposite petron. Very well known for alignment and balancing

they do balancing by adding bananas to balance

they do alignment by going through more pot holes

they service using minyak cap kapak. old oil didn't remove, just add 1 bottle minyak cap kapak inside radiator

service quality beri goodings... after service they go 4x4 behind bukit oug test car. come back got man-factor

go selayang no good, they use shell

Seriously, Honda SC needs to improve. Their customer service is just plain bad. I went to the USJ one for a major service. Took them a full 2 days. They suggested us to collect the car on the 3rd day but we said no. I would have appreciate the SA to update us periodically rather than we keep checking on them, asking them to call us back, etc.

Since I'm planning to buy a new car and I've been eyeing Honda cars (and I do think they are good cars). But I'd think twice now due to the poor customer service quality.

yep quite horrible tbh with my experience with old klang road's sc. send my car ytd as agent said before 1k/1 month can do free checking for alignment+balancing, so i send it even tho only half month. the counter staff ask me whether to do the 1k service together and said no need to run there again by end of month so after thinking a bit i agreed on that. waited for about 1.5 hours, the counter staff suddenly tell me that policy changed and no more FOC alignment+balancing and i was like shocking.gif shocking.gif

he said need to charge RM30 for that, amount is not much but i've wasted a lot of time waiting there summore doing my 1k service even tho i only run for 600km, so i called the agent and ask wtf is going on. in the end settled with free checking on front 2 wheels. the worst thing is he is sitting there doing nothing while i'm also sitting there waiting for the car and he didn't even care to approach me and tell me what happened. in the end i send my car @ 2pm, take my car 5.20pm. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

prolly i should send to selayang next time.

Yeah, I can totally relate to your experience.

We got a free car wash from previous servicing. Due to the delay, they postponed the car wash. I thought I could claim the car wash for this recent car servicing. But due to the delay (again!), the car wash was postponed. So looks like I will never get to claim the foc car wash. Something is seriously wrong with their processes in handling customer, service cars, etc. For the price we're paying, it's really not justified.

Today I just went to Millennium Auto to do my normal servicing. Quite satisfied with their service because I monitored how the mechanic handles my car through the viewing bay.

I usually service my car at Tenaga Setia but went to Millennium Auto because they didn't stock up on the new Fully Synthetic engine oil.

We should avoid them to voice our consumer rights.

my car is 2yrs old at 24k service under 40k, without any inspections they mislead me into service aircond, body throttle and do alignment. the most irritates me is the aircond, after service got sound, went back, they so blatantly went and damage my glovebox without solving anything, and say wait warranty claim... very thuggish and unethical.

my advise is, if want to go, jus service according to your book and skip anything extra. they might damage it like my aircond. im on my mist into taking legal action against them...

Some honda sc do not have tyre and alignment machine and service, eg: chan show lin.

they actually drive ur car out to nearest tyre shop to align for you. that's why. can be very time consuming

recently did mine at USJ SC - it's just my first 1k inspection la, but service was pretty decent:

went in 1 hour pass my appointment time (11am appt time), but the counter guy attended to me pretty nicely. it was nearly lunch hour but somehow he managed to get the inspection done before 2pm, which he did mention that inspection will take no more than 2 hours.

tho there was no servicing done at all, can't really comment much. But so far satisfied with this - anyone has more details on USJ SC? Plan to make this my usual 1 as this is 5-10 mins away from my home. thx!

hi guys, i've got my jazz from kah motor last week. after reading through this thread regarding kah motor sc, i see alot of negative response from here.

a question, my car warranty is under kah motor or under any honda SC? the 1km, 10000km, ... interval free labor charge is for any honda SC or just for kah motor?

hi guys, i've got my jazz from kah motor last week. after reading through this thread regarding kah motor sc, i see alot of negative response from here.

a question, my car warranty is under kah motor or under any honda SC? the 1km, 10000km, ... interval free labor charge is for any honda SC or just for kah motor?
*
Any Honda SC but its best to bring back to the one you bought your car if for warranty claims. As for service you can bring to anywhere.

Any SC will do, AFAIK they do not have a record of whether h bought the car from their outlet or not as the service department and the sales are not linked. But it is always better stay with the sake SC for servicing as they do not share the service records with other SC unless u request for them to print out the list of items and date that u have serviced/fixed ur car

alternatively can ask the current SC to call your previous SC to get all the details. Usually they would concur and provide the details to the current SC you plan to switch.

Which Honda SC in KL have the best equipment and service? I have read quite a number of good reviews on Peringgit Sri Motor (Jalan Kelang Lama) but also learnt the workshop kinda back dated due to old equipments. Any recommendation?

I bought a Jazz 14 last year, currently mileage is about 16,000KM, service at Honda centre (TIONG NAM) twice, im having a dilemma whether to service at outside workshop or Honda Service Centre as the car is c/w "5 Years Warranty with Unlimited Mileage", but I really don't like their service they provided, wait few hours only for normal service, car suddenly got sound (don't know which part got prob), ask them to check they ask me left the car overnight there (due to weekend only for service not for checking), then I went to Tenaga Setia check, they drive my car few rounds said they can't found anything's wrong, can't hear the sound too... can anyone give me some advice....... thanks!!

recently did mine at USJ SC - it's just my first 1k inspection la, but service was pretty decent:

went in 1 hour pass my appointment time (11am appt time), but the counter guy attended to me pretty nicely. it was nearly lunch hour but somehow he managed to get the inspection done before 2pm, which he did mention that inspection will take no more than 2 hours.

tho there was no servicing done at all, can't really comment much. But so far satisfied with this - anyone has more details on USJ SC? Plan to make this my usual 1 as this is 5-10 mins away from my home. thx!
*
First service just check for any leaks or sound. There is no oil change. Unless you have complaints on the car.
First service can be done within 20 minutes.

If this SC is near your house, then it is a good point to go there.
If they give you grandfather story, then start looking for the next one.

They should be online.
If you service your car in SC 1 for 2 times, then go to SC 2 to service.
On your fourth service you go back to SC 1, if they don't have your service record for the third service, they void your warranty for missing one service. But in actual fact, you have done your third service from SC 2.

They cannot be offline on the cars servicing records.

The catch is "5 years warranty".
If you want the warranty, you have to go back to them to slaughter you for 5 years.
Lucky thing they never give you 10 years warranty. tongue.gif

Thanks for your advice... but my steering wheel now got noise (sounds like screw loose) everytime I adjust to right, they check they keep saying no problem, I really don't know how to communicate with them...
BTW, do anyone face the same problem as mine? What is the problem? Thanks!!

Negative, they're not online as the sc are all independent companies. As for warranty claims, all Honda owners have a warranty booklet that will have the Honda chop whenever the car is being serviced. If one is missing then warranty claim will be harder

No matter which SC, someone will encounter bad experience at that SC.
Best is to ensure we are informed what to change/service by the advisor.

Ya, Honda here doesn't centralised their computer system. Each SC has their own system, it can't traced back the records from other SC. Unlike UMWT, even the franchised SC can access to all the previous records done in UMWT SC.

Therefore please keep all the service records and make sure the booklet is stamped.

I went to Honda glenmarie (hzn) for regular service today. Free car wash & vacuum. Free nasi lemak. So far seems ok as this is my first service with them. Let's see.

Previously, I went to usj Honda and their service is terrible. Normal major service (change timing belt) also want to keep the car for 2-3 days. They couldn't determine when they can finish but say by end of the day (3 times which made it 3 days). After calling them, they ask to come collect car. When I arrived, they said still working on the car. I waited for 2-3 hours late evening. Then they asked if can come back 3rd day which I refused. SA doesn't bother to call and only give blur updates after you call him. Another guy helped me as the SA went home. He gave some discounts after I complained. Seriously, wasting my time and it wasn't a cheap or pleasant experience.

Is it? What happened?

I'm wary of buying Honda cars despite their good safety features. Don't think their after sales service is up to par.

I been read somewhere in Peugeot/Citroen forum, they actively sharing info on which Technician is Best on to dealing with, which SC is recommended for warranty purpose, plus they do share the Phone no/emails of the SC Technician so can check on his time availability.

But, its quite a problematic for the Peugeot Engine + electronic + battery issues, so it might be the reason why the forum is quite active there.

normal pricing in the website is when they use normal oil (not semi or full syn oil)
compare your bill with the items in the website and check what went wrong.

I used to service at sri utama setapak sc. Until my friend told me when he has issue with his car, tried a few sc, only tenaga setia able to solve his issue. Then I switched to there. Not bad service I would say. Desk officer also very polite. Free car wash vacuum.

But now that I'm in 4th year, no longer service at Honda sc.

1k service is just change oil & minor checks, the clerk won't tell you what happened since they also don't know, have to talk to the mech doing your car, so if they say nothing, should be normal, unless they found something expensive broken that is covered by warranty they will wait you discover yourself, because you might go other SC to solve the issue instead of them fixing it, save them manhours.

yes, to flush out any possible debris while the car breaks in. it might be FOC i dunno depends on their promotion.

Engine & Gear oil.

Or maybe new car they decided not required? In that case what is the service for?

then you need to check your owners manual regarding 1k service. there's a checkbox what needs to be done. if there's indicate of oil change require check with the SC if they changed it or not, if not bring it to change and give them a good lesson.

1k is just inspection without changing engine oil or gear box oil. i have debate with them on this. coz the first 1k is critical for new engine. like what avo said. the debris for RUN IN. but HONDA said the engine already Pre-Run In in Factory. to be safe.. i just pay extra to get the engine oil change.

else is just normal inspection on ur oil level, signal light or if got severe wear and tears.

Gear oil? they can't possibly prerun the gears in factory also right? gear cost more the repair & replace, they know it very well.

Just got my car 1 month ago at Puchong Kah Motor, actually not sure which sc to go...to entitled for warranty, if needed, I need to go to any authorized honda service centre only right for car services, it's my 1st time actually.Today, walk in to Kah motor service in Puchong but unable to service due to too many customer today on major service. Just asking, is all the service centre provide car wash services...but due to many negative comment about the service centre, I'm not sure whether want to go there for service. Actually my place more convenient to either Puchong, Kajang & Bangi. Any suggestion?

Just got my car 1 month ago at Puchong Kah Motor, actually not sure which sc to go...to entitled for warranty, if needed, I need to go to any authorized honda service centre only right for car services, it's my 1st time actually.Today, walk in to Kah motor service in Puchong but unable to service due to too many customer today on major service. Just asking, is all the service centre provide car wash services...but due to many negative comment about the service centre, I'm not sure whether want to go there for service. Actually my place more convenient to either Puchong, Kajang & Bangi. Any suggestion?

The service booklet should have a list of sc for selangor region.

I just got my car there too earlier this month. The water or Vapor(Air Wap) will enter my fog light for both side. Send to Kah SC...show them video and picture of the defect. They don even accept and give u lot of reason telling u that they will send an email to Honda Malaysia for the complain bla bla bla...but still no outcome.....The staff not really frendly tho....If u try google this puchong SC....lots of negative comment....am still looking for the better SC. heard ppl saying Perringgit or Nanyang SC is better....

Yup. I notice that too the day when I collect my car, SA told me it's just a wap due to hot weather & more over that time my SA sent my car for carwash. After a while it disappear, now no more. Actually walk in to Kah Puchong SC for 1k service last Mon but its already full. I agree with you their staff not friendly at all, some more when I try to call & make appointment for my service, she just told already full not in good manner, & ask me to wait till 7th Jan but that also not confirm...at last I call Honda Global Amity on Tue & got my car service yesterday. Their staff there more friendly with one uncle serve coffee, tea or milo for all customers. At least they attend to you right after you walk in to the premise. At Kah sc, no one even bother to ask.😟 im not sure whether peringgit still in old Klang road, as there's 1 peringgit at equine seri kembangan, one of their SA told me that they move fr old Klang road. Seriously I also don't know which sc better& reasonable. This time is my 1st service only, it's only inspection & it's FOC. Not too sure when come to 10k service & beyond.

Ya...thats all about that sucks KAH SC....i still gonna claim them for the fog lights till i get it done....i had heard 3 mechanics telling me if the fog lights containe wap or water entering....it may reduced our light bulb life shelf too.....i may prefer to go more far for better service than those suck SC who keep their responsibilty behind...
Btw...i don think i am gonna wait for their 10k service as our new car is still new...and it is better to get those debris in our engine flush out....so i might pay additional for the lub oil change by 3k mileage...

Agree!

I have been servicing my Jazz with them for 3++ years. So far, zero issue. No hanky panky pushing me to this and that. thumbup.gif

Even sometime the owner come down to have a chat with their customers. Asking around regarding their services.

Free car wash + free breakfast thumbup.gif

I went to MH Prestige, Bdr Sri Damansara for first service (1000 km).
They also give free drinks and breakfast, but the lounge is a bit cramped.

May try HZN, Glenmarie next.

the ones using the same photos are most likely members from sixgen group, the owner of the car actually went to the consumer tribunal with that case, and the judge orders the sc to replace the part

It is normal for SC to saw that part of dashboard when they service the aircond. If not, they would need to dismantle the whole dashboard just to get to the cooling coil.

After that, SC should replace that plastic with a metal beam which was made by Honda. I got mine done that way. For the case above, the SC did not follow SOP.

Thanks Thrust. Good info.

Meaning CRV has similar layout to Toyota cars. For example Toyota Wish, the dashboard needs to be removed before cooling coil can be repaired/replaced. Because of this, acond repair normally takes one day to complete.

Expensive to maintain a/cond for these cars.

the SC did followed sop by of cutting off that part, but, prior to doing so, they didn't get the owner's consent, and after they cut off that part, there were noises that came from that area during driving, that's why the judge order the sc to replace the part

*anyway, it's not my car, can't comment much on it

From experience with my Toyota, if the whole dashboard is dismantled it will not be as re-assembled as good as before; the screws, plastic rivets, etc will be fixed at different holes.
Remember, the technicians have schedule and they don't care as it's not their car.
As a result, when driving later, we will hear some annoying rattling sound in the dashboard.
If this happens every 3 years, more and more rattling sound will be heard.

For me, it's better to have that portion cut-out and replaced with metal beam.

if they don't have a good reason not to fix back same hole, you can file a complaint.

maybe plastic shrink and deform resulting misalign with old hole, but i'm sure if they tried they can still mount back to original hole.

I am new to honda sc.

May I know which Honda service center allows you to be right beside your car when it is serviced ?

I know Toyota sc does not allow it, which is why their work-quality and know how isn't up to mark.

Sorry I have a question about my 2005 Honda CRV and can't manage to get good response from other threads. Thought i might ask here for help.

Hi guys. Just got a 2005 Honda CRV from my father. the problem is a lot malfunction because of previous accessories attachment and minor defect.

1. Side mirror control is out of service and the side mirror will move a lot whenever i close door.
2. Auto window control on the driver side out of service, sometimes the window will move down and up itself whenever i try to open or close it once. (not paranormal case)
3. Some knock off media player integrated with knock off reverse camera.
4. If all settled then i will like to do overall check up.

I think i will do it one by one according to priority. I'm staying in Seri Kembangan near Equine Park and Pasar Borong Selangor. Any good reliable place to recommend guys? Thanks in advance

i can tell you how to diy some of it.....
1. no idea, if its loose, check the bolts i guess, cant help much here since i have no idea whats loose
2. check wiring, start from the switches, use a voltmeter and trace from there, also look at the wiring loom by the door hinge, see if it is exposed
3. okay, i dont know what you want to do... change it? fix it?
4. checkup.. check fluid levels, look for fluid leaks, check filters, look at pads, look under car for tears, if you want, you can also pul the error codes using an obd reader

Just would like to share my highly satisfied Civic Hybrid repair experience at MJ Motors located at Alam Damai, Cheras, last Friday.

My front left door had developed irritating loud rattling noise when traveling on the road, particularly on stretches which are in bad condition. When at the traffic light, if a motobike was stop beside my Civic, my left door will be rattling again which would caused by Mom to make a passing comment that even my parents old junk car would not make such a noise!!!..

Hence, i had paid a visit to a Honda outlet at Sg Long on early Friday morning to check on what was the problem. The service officer later claimed their techician had removed the door trimming panel and found out the speaker was faulty and required to be replaced.

Upon hearing this, i had doubt on this assessment findings as i noticed my car had never entered into the worskhop bay from what i had observed at the 1st Flr viewing gallery.

Subsequently, i told the service officer to completely remove the side door speaker as i can rely on the rear speakers for my daily listening but he had replied this would cause water to enter into my car during raining time.

Frustrated, i had then make my way to MJ Motors where the service officer there name Afiq had opined there is something loose inside the door and require a thorough inspection.

As i had arrive around mid morning and almost time for Friday prayers, i had to leave my Civic thare and had to call around 3pm to check on the status of the repair.

At 3.45 pm, Afiq had phoned me saying my car is now ready for collection where i had enquired what was the cause of the sound. Apparently, the speaker fastening nuts had loosened and caused the rattling noise where they have tightened it.

Upon collecting my car, the ratting sound has gone away!!!...Yippie!!!!

From now on, i will send my Civic to MJ Motors either for minor or major repairs as their intergrity & workmanship is found to be beyond reproach!!!!

Hi guys, I have a 2012 Honda Jazz Hybrid that has the faulty airbag and need to replace them. I also need to service my car as I just bought it last month, second hand.

I live at Damansara Perdana and unfotunately the nearest Honda Service Centre's (the one beside LDP highway) telephone lines have been engaged since this morning.

Does anybody know where the second nearest Honda service centre is?

Thanks

Hi guys, I have a 2012 Honda Jazz Hybrid that has the faulty airbag and need to replace them. I also need to service my car as I just bought it last month, second hand.

I live at Damansara Perdana and unfotunately the nearest Honda Service Centre's (the one beside LDP highway) telephone lines have been engaged since this morning.

Does anybody know where the second nearest Honda service centre is?

Thanks

Hi. I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey RB1 that is giving me some creaking sounds from the rear suspension. I've had it checked and "repaired" twice at a workshop but no improvement noted.

Any suggestions as to which Honda Service centre is best for diagnostics?

Thanks.

Most likely from something that needs oil.

try spraying some oil on the lower arm bush. If that doesn't solve it, then look at some other suspension parts.

Hi, i've been searching high and low for a good affordable Honda mechanic to repair the transmission problem of my old Honda Odyssey (2001 if i'm not mistaken). Often jerky transition, gear not locking causing the D indicator to blink.

Tried sending to Honda Service Center in Glenmarie, they said they don't service my version no more, no more spare part is their reasoning. Preferably the Klang Valley.

I have watched wheeler dealer in youtube. In one show, there is old conti car, that have jerky, sometimes not drop gear etc

Solution by them is do flushing of transmission oil, change also the transmission oil filter and gasket. Work ok after that.

for newer Honda cars, 1k are only inspection, no oil change will be done, unless the owner request for it, check the quick service manual, it's stated in it

Yup, they have booking and non-booking too. I normally will book the service on weekend, not sure on weekdays

I know that if the day is fully booked, they will not service for walk-in customer

The early one start from 7.45am, usually took me 2 hour to finished the service

Global Amity Bangi have very good service! Easy access and smooth sailing. Got snacks, drinks and cinema room. You won't get bored while waiting for your car to finish. Or you can just walk a bit to Warta (like a lot if you are not a fan of walking) to eat or shop. Polite workers, they even explain in details what they are going to do and when will your next service should be. Overall, 4 thumbs up! Including my toes hahahaha!

Most importantly, when they said 1 hour, it's 1 hour sharp that they gave you a call to tell you that your car is ready.

My 1st experience at HZN Glenmarie SC(regular SC is Ban Chu Bee, Kota Bharu)

3-sept-2016 (saturday)
Appointment: 11.30 am, waiting time 10 mins due to weekend. Crowded.

Major Service 80k km + Airbag replacement.

>> Many parking lots in the premise, gated and with security guards.
>> Free car wash, free nitrogen (currently using nitrogen). Don't know free or not for the case if currently using compressed air.
>> You can ask service advisor the estimated cost and he will shows the parts including price. Then he will gives you the printable copy of those invoice. In my case, RM791+GST (city 5th gen).
>> Service advisor very polite, fast service even he is a newly hired employee.
>> You can see the foreman service car from inside the waiting room.
>> Food lounge. Free cookies and drinks (hot black/white coffee, milo, teh tarik & a Coway with hot+cold.can refill any cups you want). Free nasi lemak too but limited quantity.
>> Play area for kids (mini slide and swing, books, table+chair like at the kindergarten).
>> Fast internet. I run speedtest, download up to 46Mbps.
>> Movies at waiting room.
>> Free one-way shuttle around Shah Alam and Subang. I came from Kuala Lipis. Driver sent me to hotel seksyen 19. SC call me at 4.45pm to pick up the car.
>> Go to payment counter, pay with the same amount. Take service booklet, stamped invoice, and a pass which need to submit to security guard at main entrance.

The conclusion, either my wife or i were very pleased.
Thank you for reading. Hope my writing will help someone who's surveying the SC.

Done 40k km service on weekend at Setia Alam Sc, shah alam.

Once received the invoice etc, ask sc to send me to Setia Alam mall. Enjoy there for 2 hours, then get pickup by them to sc, car is done 😎

Anyone has good recommendation on trustworthy and reliable Honda Civic repair centre. my Civic 2011 1.8 has got some problem with front absorber and suspension. I researched on website, most likely is absorber and suspension spoilt. When i drive thru bump, my car front (dashboard and engine area) vibrating so much and like got knocking sound onto my floor. Very painful to hear the sound. Anyone experience this before?

Also, if got such problem, how much does it cost to repair the said problem? Thx for providing advice.

If u go to any honda sc, they will check it and give u quotation for replacement of the mounting. Be it engine or transmission or both mounting.

go for your regular mechanic, they can give u which one need for replacement and u can search at any spare part shop. Guess can save u around 20-30% for the price parts

Thanks for your useful info. I checked back on record, in fact those parts were changed about 1.5 year ago. That parts worn out pretty fast in this case (already run 60,000km after change). Wonder if this is normal for other civic driver out there.

Went to HZN Glenmarie for my 1k inspection service. Had a pleasure breakfast there, staff was friendly, response was fast, environment was clean & comfy. Being told that will have free car wash & vacuum, but found that carpet was still dirty & car body still with dust, suspect car wash & vacuum were not done.

Honda 3S centre nowadays have all been upgraded in facility to deliver better customer experience, esp during waiting time (free food & drinks & WIFI etc)
Perhaps except of few SC, generally they are quite similar in existence. Reason being all of them are guided by SOP & so is all the parts prices are controlled too. Of course, those aged 3s centre may not as big as those new ones around for merely less than 3-5 yrs. New ones obviously stand out to be preferred choice than old ones.

The only improvement Honda SC should have is to reduce waiting time. Very often, a lot of SC still required customer to drop the car whole day even just for normal servicing, esp on weekdays (E.g Sumber Auto is one that need whole day for sure).

Of course, another area that we may find hard to accept is the labour charges. They do not need to provide normal service to Honda CRV for 2.8 hrs, but system is pre-set for all the car models in terms of man-service-hour, to determine labor charge.

Side note: there are some 3S open on Sunday as well. This could relieve those who can't service their car from Monday-Sat due to commitment.

If you're in klang valley, try Tenaga Setia next to federal highway. They have proper multiple story covered car bays sent for repair jobs. I did my windscreen change there and their service is good. Recommended.

Among the few SC nearby setapak, Sri Utama is most crowded one, pass by every time they are full with cars. On my last service, tried walk in before but they didn't take me coz fully booked that day (Friday). I believe they are being crowded for a reason due to many Honda owners like them.
Personal experience is they have Good attitude.
They help me troubleshoot my car cannot start problem with warranty claim afterwards, even though I have no record servicing with them before. Will book service with them next time.

Personal experience is they have Good attitude.
They help me troubleshoot my car cannot start problem with warranty claim afterwards, even though I have no record servicing with them before. Will book service with them next time.

erm , basically all service records share among all SC...why i know ? coz i made an appointment with 1 SC which i only visited them for 2 times only . They asked me why i never go back their SC and only go to Setia Alam SC after that .... then they know my last service mileage and issues i reported on last service on the other SC...

Guys, I've a question. Just bought my new Honda at Kajang because they had given me best discount compare to other dealer. After buying the car from them, they told me to come service back at their 4S service centre instead of going others. I asked why and they told me if go other 4S service centre they might charge me labor cost. Is it true? I thought it is centralize by Honda to provide free labour up to 90KM?

sos: https://www.honda.com.my/model/services/hrv
The new Free Service is for free labour charge only, and only applied at selected intervals which are 1,000km, 10,000km, 30,000km, 50,000km, 70,000km and 90,000km.

Done my 20k km, 30k km and 50k km at Tiong Nam setia alam.

My 10k km service at Actmar Klang and I won't go back anymore . Actmar Klang is one of the worst sc in Klang valley ..extremely slow service . Even u made appointment , u got to wait at least 1-2hours for ur turn .

So I decided to go Tiong Nam after that . I got my 40k km free labour from Actmar Klang due to my complaint on my Honda bumper gap issue .unsolvable by HM .So Actmar gave me free labour as goodwill .I done my 40k service there to save RM150 labour .

Tiong Nam Setia Alam provide better service experience . Always collect my car in less than 2hours .coffee machine and plenty of sofa seat . Nice environment

personally for myself.

i would rather to be service my car outside normal workshop, at least their workmanship is far better than workshop in Honda service center.

i'm here not to criticize any Honda workshop service center, just that, i no confidence on them only, they not allow us to see what are they doing, they can do whatever they like, they no do also collect money from the owner, so sien d

i bring my car go normal workshop outside, i can see them personally do it for me, & they will advise me on my car condition, face to face communication is far better than close door do service

ya, Honda car is famous in gearbox kong issue.

luckily my car till now, it's still don't have any problem yet (touch wood)

now i always bring to outside service

Honda service centre earns nothing in servicing department, they earn in the spare parts whilst servicing existing client's car.

They come out an idea whereby they promised owner certain year of car warranty, from there, they start to earn as much as possible via the owner

if it is CVT, it easy to kong if we accidentally using a different grade/type of gearbox oil against the manufacturer recommendation. make sure to keep using the same spec of GB oil. icon_idea.gif

I keep servicing at SC until my warranty expired. I found it still acceptable for the price range, ie max major service still cost at 600-700rm, normal service is at 200-300rm. Compared to my colleague VW, the major service of 60k km and 120km can up to 3-4k rm.
But of all SC I going, almost all will try to sell option service which can cost extra 30-40% which can also be neglected for the warranty sake.

Those are my warranty Claim so far from SC:
1. Accord driver side mirror driver side - RM1.7k. The issue as it vibrates at high speed, 150kmh above. Initially, SC said it due to bolt to tighten but after test, insist it still vibrate and ask to claim warranty

2. Driveshaft parts - RM1.3k. Mine got oil leaking during the 60k km. Claim easily as SC said its due to parts problem.

not just CVT, ABS also need to be correct if not spoil.

outside shop may not know that and just put in any oil they think ok. I think Honda has their own brand of oil so not sure part shops got carry the same brand or not, if not you have to make sure it's the equivalent oil you are buying and bring to shop give them the oil when they need it so they won't mistake.

Honda has like default 10-15% discounts, toyota parts mark up around 50-400% compared to parts shop selling original parts. the more expensive the parts the higher the markup.

one thing, there are too many of fake oil in our market, it is really difficult to determine whether it is ori or fake oil from the bottles.
another note, my office colleague just spend almost 7k to overhaul his superbike due to fake Motul Engine oil. the oil will dry up pretty quickly and at the time u notice the engine weird behavior, it already gone.

that is why always buy from SC or Reputable Official Parts distributors. they will advice you if you want ori or 3rd party they won't sell you 3rd party for ori price because the risk of getting exposed is not worth it they are in biz for many decades.

for engine oil, best is bring your own if you plan to change outside workshop. some shops give you genuine, some give you genuine recycled oil, some give you fake. you will never know. sometimes workers cheat when boss not around, sometimes boss cheats.

for a piece of mind, either buy from petrol station (price will be expensive) or big hypermarket/super markets/ACE hardware. their price are low but are from overseas but they have a reputation to maintain.

too bad Tesco now not many choices. for gear & brake fluid, not sure other than parts distributor shop where got sell. ACE got many options you never heard of.

I used to go to Honda Global Amity Bangi. You can just book an appointment via Whatsapp (0195555450) so its easy for me who find it hard to talk to people sweat.gif

However, they can be full booked because they are so famous now. You need to make an appointment at least a week before. They will remind you the day before and will call you if you didn't show up and book you a new appointment. Pretty good.

But recently I changed to Honda 3S Cheras because its waaaaay closer to my house and there are no people there. They just open on December 2017 so when I arrived at the car park, the service guy already standing beside me. Wah gave me shock leh. And personally, customer service at 3S is better than Global Amity because he explained to me in detail before and after. So will repeat again next service at 3S. Anyway, you can call to book at 3S Cheras (03-90816088) just waze/google. It is near Maktab Polis Diraja batu 9 there.

But of course la coffee machine at Honda SC always broken can only drink plain water blegh.

Location wise, Global Amity got nothing in the area that you can just walk to. 3S have to go up and down the hill a bit to go to mamak or Petron. At least you can walk safely la because it is in residential area. Global Amity one is in industrial area. I want to go to warta near it also have to take a grab because I'm too chicken to cross the road.

But both are comfortable enough to just sit there watch tv while waiting for your car. I've waited 2 hours at most. They show some movie so it is not that boring. Global Amity have a smoking room but just beside kids play room. Not so appropriate. 3S you can just smoke outside.

Luckily I don't have to claim warranty yet (knock on wood). But good to know. How exactly to claim? Do I have to make an appointment to check the car? Thanks!

I'm still using HZN Cars @ Glemarie Hicom and my last service, they opened an Express Service facility for cars that only need to do their usual interval service while their normal service will be reserve for cars that needs more extensive checking or repairs.

But one thing I notice these days is they are pushing to sell you additional stuff that you probably dun need like engine treatment or cleaner just to name one...

Just curious, anyone here send your beloved civic to Puchong Kah Motor service, USJ car express to service or Peringgit Sri Motor Sdn. Bhd (Seri Kembangan)? Any review?

First time own Honda vehicles and gonna send 1k service soon. Read anywhere also saying that their service centre sucks and bad attitude. Isn’t true ?

But anyhow I told her that I want to service 1,000km, if wait until August already 2k~3k km already. She just ask me to walk in to do 1,000km service as early as possible

Called them for appt one week in advance, they advised to walk in.

Reached there at 8.30am, I was the last in the q and the last car they accepted of the day.

Told me to come collect car by 3pm.

I reached there at 4pm, my car is still park at the same place, no been moved an inch.

Bad experience. I don't know what time they reach even make appointment.

Last time i go there approx 8.30am and put my service booklet there approx no.3 or 4 (non-booking). Then I in rushing mode and told the SA can take my booklet first? He said not fair and ask me to come back on 2.30pm.
Take my car there 2.30pm and no customer at there and directly give booklet to SA. 4pm done my service

USJ service centre seems ok. Walk in without appointment few times. No problem when caim free service voucher.. At one times there was a noise under carriage, SA suspect abs.. Open the abs and use different abs to confirm. .. But its not the abs but SA dont charge me.

No. Honda SC will not supply and install for you. I ask before. Some SC said they will take it to 3rd party if you really want to install.

usually for checking will be separate appointment.
and fixing will be another appointment.

you should just call them directly and request for appointment to check. and ask them if possible to do it during your service booking.

My wife's City need to do 10K service next month, the 1K service done at KAH puchong, but I feel like their service very cincai, the place very crowded and no free car wash. So I plan to try other SC, any suggestions? Area around Puchong, Subang and PJ.

I also noticed that they require to change "Dust & Pollen Filter" (cost RM103) in 10K service, is that mandatory? Will it affect warranty if I refuse to change?

Did all Honda SC price the same? All SC provide free car wash?

**Sorry, am new to Honda, my only experience with SC is KIA. Some KIA SC do offers discount cards, and all SC provide free car wash.

Thanks.

Usually i sending at bangi sc, they provide free car wash after service. And Semenyih sc last time also foc car wash.

That filter need to change as it is under recommended parts during service. If not change then burn your warranty
