Was wondering which Honda Service Centre is better at Old Klang Road? Need to send my car for inspection. Need good mechanics, honest & acceptable price. Need them to check my transmission.

Did a service back in home town but they say need advance booking for the inspection but thinking of doing it in KL since i don't have enough time.

I live near Old Klang road, so the 2 Honda's are my only choices, coz it's probably gonna take more than 1 day to diagnose, and hopefully fix the issue. So I have to take bas back.

The other one Saturday only open till 1pm.

I think peringgit is one of the better option if you don't know much about Honda service centre. At least they look like a proper service centre.

No, because if something goes wrong with the battery, it won't be covered. The battery is one of the most expensive equipment right below the engine & transmissions.

My car is still under warranty, but the service charges is crazy! Considering going to the mechanic that i used to go to when i was driving my other car.... I'm driving an Insight... would that be a good move?

No point bringing own engine oil as the Honda engine oil is just as good.

Giant selling Shell Fully Synth 4L for rm139 today. Honda charge you how much for engine oil?

Any review on the Angkasa Motor Jalan Ipoh 3S centre?
I brought mine for 1k service there...no issue but also they never say anything about the car? Normal?
*
1k service is just change oil & minor checks, the clerk won't tell you what happened since they also don't know, have to talk to the mech doing your car, so if they say nothing, should be normal, unless they found something expensive broken that is covered by warranty they will wait you discover yourself, because you might go other SC to solve the issue instead of them fixing it, save them manhours.

Ohh..1k service got change oil? Its not stated in the invoice also.

yes, to flush out any possible debris while the car breaks in. it might be FOC i dunno depends on their promotion.

Engine & Gear oil.

Or maybe new car they decided not required? In that case what is the service for?

I think they just did inspection only...nothing done..
*
then you need to check your owners manual regarding 1k service. there's a checkbox what needs to be done. if there's indicate of oil change require check with the SC if they changed it or not, if not bring it to change and give them a good lesson.

1k is just inspection without changing engine oil or gear box oil. i have debate with them on this. coz the first 1k is critical for new engine. like what avo said. the debris for RUN IN. but HONDA said the engine already Pre-Run In in Factory. to be safe.. i just pay extra to get the engine oil change.

else is just normal inspection on ur oil level, signal light or if got severe wear and tears.

Gear oil? they can't possibly prerun the gears in factory also right? gear cost more the repair & replace, they know it very well.

From experience with my Toyota, if the whole dashboard is dismantled it will not be as re-assembled as good as before; the screws, plastic rivets, etc will be fixed at different holes.
Remember, the technicians have schedule and they don't care as it's not their car.
As a result, when driving later, we will hear some annoying rattling sound in the dashboard.
If this happens every 3 years, more and more rattling sound will be heard.

For me, it's better to have that portion cut-out and replaced with metal beam.
*
if they don't have a good reason not to fix back same hole, you can file a complaint.

maybe plastic shrink and deform resulting misalign with old hole, but i'm sure if they tried they can still mount back to original hole.

if use wrong cvt fluid , sekali kena , RM10-20k gone case.... i found out the parts price not really expensive compare to outside spart part shop... as long as u know what to change during service , its very cheap and affordable only
*
not just CVT, ABS also need to be correct if not spoil.

outside shop may not know that and just put in any oil they think ok. I think Honda has their own brand of oil so not sure part shops got carry the same brand or not, if not you have to make sure it's the equivalent oil you are buying and bring to shop give them the oil when they need it so they won't mistake.

Honda has like default 10-15% discounts, toyota parts mark up around 50-400% compared to parts shop selling original parts. the more expensive the parts the higher the markup.

one thing, there are too many of fake oil in our market, it is really difficult to determine whether it is ori or fake oil from the bottles.
another note, my office colleague just spend almost 7k to overhaul his superbike due to fake Motul Engine oil. the oil will dry up pretty quickly and at the time u notice  the engine weird behavior, it already gone.
*
that is why always buy from SC or Reputable Official Parts distributors. they will advice you if you want ori or 3rd party they won't sell you 3rd party for ori price because the risk of getting exposed is not worth it they are in biz for many decades.

for engine oil, best is bring your own if you plan to change outside workshop. some shops give you genuine, some give you genuine recycled oil, some give you fake. you will never know. sometimes workers cheat when boss not around, sometimes boss cheats.

for a piece of mind, either buy from petrol station (price will be expensive) or big hypermarket/super markets/ACE hardware. their price are low but are from overseas but they have a reputation to maintain.

too bad Tesco now not many choices. for gear & brake fluid, not sure other than parts distributor shop where got sell. ACE got many options you never heard of.
