0.53 Ghz is a lot of difference is your MB white the one with the intel GMA 950? then the jump to nvidia 9400M is hugeee. not to mention from DDR2 to DDR3. apart from the performance, u'll get a much better display and battery i'd say the 13" 2.53 Ghz is the perfect choice. maybe u wanna consider the 15" 2.53 Ghz as well for a bigger screen

additional RM800 + additional RM400 for ACPP actually lol
i cant say worth it or not...some people juz find 13" too small. but some people also find 15" too heavy. i fall in the former ;p

@dvlzplayground, Lol. I moved from a 1.79kg 12" to a 2.5kg 15" and now I've decided to move back to a 2.1kg 13" *smiles* I'm more or less decided on me purchase. If not because of the damn Credit Card promotion [I hope the Online Apple Store accepts Amex!] I would have placed my order yesterday

On a 32-bit system the optimal RAM is 3GB. But if you are to run dual channel, the optimum setup would be two identical rams (1GB+1GB or 2GB+2GB) of the same brand.
Dual channel would not function with 3GB as the ram configuration would be 1GB +2GB, hence a slower speed.

r u sure?how would 1GB+2GB setup make ur MB slower meh?if it's true, then i'll have to change my another ram asap lor...now running 1+2gb..i thought of waiting for 4GB to change the 1GB stick.. btw, xjunkie max RAM for 32 bit only 3GB..if u're gonna go further,u hav to change to 64bit system, which means SL.heheh....

Stop giving people wrong information 32-bit with PAE is capable of going more then 4GB of RAM , thats how you see MacPros can have 16GB of RAM despite Leopards kernel being 32-bit

PAE is an extention that allows your computer to TRY to run upto 4GB ram in a 32-bit environment, its not something available natively...
A proton with turbo engine is still not a ferrari =X I feel

So your finder , etc would be in 64-bit , but some applications will still use 32-bit due to compatibility issues if the kernel space is in 32-bit !

Core 2 Duo 2.16 max RAM is 3GB... while Core Duo 2.16 max is 2GB.
I once tempted to change to identical 2x2GB on the C2D 2.16 hence wasting 1GB juz to achieve dual channel. But a quite sensible though came to mind, how much does it effect my workflow in practical sense. Not really.
BTW I wont be worrying 32-bit or 64-bit too much until there are enough software supporting it. At the moment I'm satisfied with 32-bit CS4.

so the conclusion is in our case its support only 3gb not 4gb and better running 2gb instead of 2gb+1gb which make it 'slower'? what i nice discussion
