Dear All - Have anyone replace their internal HDD with the new 500GB or 1TB HDD? If yes, what's the best and reliable HDD model and how much does it costs?

Hi there,
I am at India Bangalore now.
2GB memory card for MacBook is INR3500 (around MYR300).
This is what I found from the Apple authorized dealer.
Is this worth to buy?

slow loading application is normally due to harddisk speed (need time to search around the platter for the app's files). this is one area that will improve a lot if u use solid state drives

but when u 1st launch an app, the app's files will go to the RAM. this is why when u quit the app, then open again, it will launch faster since ur computer doesnt need to look for the app in the harddisk...juz look in RAM. so more RAM, more apps u open can be stored in it = more apps can be quickly relaunched

Hey all, i just wanted to check with the Apple gurus here, how noticeable is the bump from the old white MB to the new MBP.? My current MB has a 2.0GHz cpu and the new one im looking at is the 13inch 2.53GHz with the NVidia 9400M graphics card..will the performance be a huge jump? Im a pretty casual user/gamer, dont really game heavy graphics but wouldnt mind the option of being able to...Im also looking at the option of doing some video editing due to work..

Thanks for the help!
