I search for BPP and Kaplan website, also dont have Malaysia Variant Text Book.
Where can I get the material elsewhere?

I had study few years ago which still under 2.2. But after that just stop till now.And dont feel to take another class now but self study by using text book.

Anyone can share some material?

Added on July 31, 2009, 11:14 amJust confirmed with MPH that I can change the book to the other.
Any recommendation for the law book?

I strongly advise you go for at least revision class if you want to study again. And don't waste money to buy any text book cos it won't help too much in the exam.

F4 is not difficult. What you need to do is just study and memorise by hard for 10 years past year Q & A. I can gurantee 75% of of the exam question will be repeat from past year Q & A.

Btw, if you want to go for normal class or revision class, then you can try Vikness (Kolej Bandar) or Sajeetha (KSA).

Er guys im currently doing my OBU. im just wondering since the results of the OBU for this period of submission will only be out in 31st march 2010 i would have gotten my acca results before this date. I'm doing my last 2 papers so yea definitely i want to apply for jobs. If i pass everything , i wud be applying the job with my ACCA results then my OBU results come later. Does it help in anyway? If it doesn't help a bit I will most probably defer doing the OBU and concentrate on my 2 papers. Not to mention tthe upcoming results......might fail some

I think OBU will help if you no longer wish to pursue acca (with still some papers left), it serves as a back-up security.

hi all... after much considerations i have decided to take ACCA part time while i study for a bachelor's degree in economics. i understand it will never be easy... but i think i should give it a try and see how i fare.

but, i have no idea where to start with? is there any forummers here taking ACCA tuition in JB area? as far as i know there are only 2 colleges giving ACCA tutition in JB, which are Cresendo and sunway... are they good? as i never heard any comments regarding to them. would it be more advisable if i am to take ACCA tuition in singapore?

i have checked fees in Cresendo college (JB) are around RM17K (including exam fees).

http://www.crescendo.edu.my/Course%20Fees-2009.pdf

while per course fee in Kaplan (sg) is around S$400 (not sure whether exam fee is included.. any kind soul can help me check up? posted the link tongue.gif )

http://kaplan.com.sg/pqcoursedetail.aspx?i...38-eeda7ef4420a

ok.. lets assume i take ACCA in Cresendo.. so the whole course fees are RM17K... so thats it? no more additional charges? i read i have to purchase docket (whats that? tongue.gif ) and exam kit? how much will they cost?

moreover, i will be joining the january intake next year (i guess its too late for me to join july intake this year). can i purchase ACCA text books and study on my own first? when can i get them?

thanks all in advance!

Taking ACCA & degree together, I really expect your determination. notworthy.gif
Not only both are separate & different but I think ACCA is tougher in some way so thats quite a problem since you will spend less time on a more difficult subject. When there is exam, you will have problems to allocate time efficiently too.

I dont know how efficient JB centres can cater to students but most of the text books & revision kits will be supplied by college. Exam docket will be sent to you by the acca body rougly within 1 month before exam date. You only have to pay :
To ACCA : Annual fees, exam fees, registration fees (1st time).
To the college : Tuition fees, library fees, .......etc.

I think there is another college at JB which teach ACCA, Citipro.
I think Singapore will have more better options for you to select lecturers.

hi Topace111, thanks for the advices! really appreciate notworthy.gif . however, i have heard people doing double degrees (or double majors) in totally different academic disciplines... so i think maybe i can give it a try first as i believe many accounting principles are based on economic theories. if i cannot cope i will just defer ACCA.

anyone wanna add on their experiences on ACCA tuition centres in JB and Spore?

Sheila study notes too complicated, not suitable for part time student.

Another recommended lecturer for F8 will be Philip Woo. His explanation is more detail and easy to understand as compare to Sheila. But Philip Woo study notes too confuse also, some more his class size too big, very difficult to study.

Btw, another lecturer Low Chin Ann also can consider. I heard from somebody, Chin Ann got very special and easy technique to answer F8 question.

Me & some other acca buddies are going there this saturday.
The talk & fair is TWO SEPARATE EVENT.
The talk caters for those whom are not interested in the fair (those who have been working, seeking CPD, junior students,.....etc)
The fair is like any job fair but smaller in size & mainly restricted to acc & finance profession.
If you want to attend, my advice is to choose only one, either the fair or the talk.
The talk starts at 9.00 am & fair started at 11.00 am.

i recently joined philip woo's class. The class size is quite big but there isn't any distraction from the students. Even when you're late you can still find quite a number of empty seats in front(cause most of the students like back seats biggrin.gif ). His explanation is really good! He makes everything sounds very logical so it's really easy to 'digest'. thumbup.gif

Hope this help! smile.gif

Thanks for the info....what about Marcus Ong? I think he from Inti Subang Jaya (correct me if I'm wrong).
Is he teaching F8?? I read the previous post and found that he seem to be a good lecturer ( read from comment)

Hi

Anyone here study F8 under Philip Woo in Kasturi School of Accountancy ?

I saw the timetable in the website...It seem that Philip Woo only teach on Saturday while Jackson Chan will teach on Tuesday for both full & part time.

Is it mean that if i take f8 paper in KSA i will have 2 lecturer ?

Can anyone verified it?
