Michael has a special note that summarise entire P3 syllabus in (70 - 80 pages).
He is teaching the "western style" of lecture which focus on 1 key word & 5 explanation instead of the asian style of 5 key word & 1 explanation.
Heard he is very good in teaching technics / answer methods of P3 to student.
Anyway I always like to try a "Mat Salleh" lecturer at least once in my acca course.........just to experience something new

Then I think you will like parmindar class.
My friend who sat for it reported he had 35 class sessions this sitting.
Anyway nobody really like to spend so much of their time in KSA, trust me on this issue

So now P4 only got 2 choice, either Chan Tze Kang (MCO) or Andrew Pang (KSA)

i heard from friend that taylor's university college is offering acca professional level for july 09 intake. they have philip woo teaching P1 & P3, Haneef (p2), chow kim tai (p4) and ian lim (p5).

U can refund money from ftms, the another lecturer will teach in p4.

Choose based on lecturer would be the best if you can afford & willing to go to 3 different college.
For example (to be fair to 3 college) :
P1 : Phillip woo (taylor)
P2 : menon (sunway)
P3 : Michael M (inti)

Seriously though I have not met one college that condemn their own lecturers. CIMA is not ACCA enough said.

Since Kwai Fatt still absent for this sitting, may be you can try Chin Ann.

Btw, if Kwai Fatt come back to run IRC (hope he will back la), then it is recommend to go.

Ha Ha, if really want to go for Philip Woo P1, I think it is better go to KSA la (assume he run P1 in both KSA and Taylor) cos the tuition fee is cheaper.

Reminds me of Mr.Spencer. My friend told me that she wanted to ask question after class but he said his wife is waiting for him to fetch him back already

Andrew Pang (KSA) - Too fast/speedily and some basis part he will jump or assume student know about it (not my option because I almost forget all the basis part)

Daniel Ho - uncertain his future whether at FTMS or others college (anyone have any update on this matter)

Stephy Lim (KB) - never heard before/no profile (any suggestion)

Hi everyone, i need advice for the oxford brookes university degree...

Recently i have passed the acca part 1 and 2, now i'm planning to sign up for the obu degree.
But i'm not sure which lecturer/mentor to choose.     

Anyone can recommend good mentor so that i no need struggling to search for the right people?(Looking for cheap lecturer, because cost is one of the important consideration)

And, anyone who have heard off Trevor Ward @ ftms kl?
The price he charged is cheaper compare to other college, but i wonder how is the passing rate of the students who attended his seminar for the obu degree. Anyone can give opinion and suggestions on him?  

I will be grateful if you can provide your valuable opinion for the questions mentioned above.

I did not take under Phillip Woo b4.
But I have shared some experience with those who does & I can say he is a very experienced lecturer with plenty of practical experience to share.
His class is a combined class with double periods in weekends. For those whom are familiar with KL centres culture that will be the worst case scenario that can befallen upon anyone (especially KSA). Then there is the fact that he really likes to spot for exam during revision class.
Apart from these 2 frequent complains I always heard about, one should not missed his class at all.
However his notes are very very thick & students need to be hardworking to read & make their own notes or they will find his class too cumbersome to handle. Since there are plenty of alternative lecturer for this 2 paper I choose not to take it at KSA. (everyone knows how i felt about the environment there, no offence to anyone though).

I think there is a way I could think of (but not so sure).
First the problem arise bcos the work is incidental to work in MYS hence taxable as employment income (deemed derived from MYS).
So an alternative is to work for the subsidiary instead (a straight transfer) by signing another contract of employment.
The problem is whether how long he is actually working there (if its periodic then it will not be advisable)

I would normally recommend dividend or share based payment but I dont think normal employee would receive such benefits that easily since such arrangements only works if you have plenty of money or working as a senior executive.

In this case, since you don't want to choose Andrew Pang in the first place, i would say the only option left would be Oviyan.

The reasons being would be :

- Daniel Ho is not going to teach in FTMS
- Stephy Lim from KB would not be recommended as this is her first time teaching F9 if i am not mistaken. FYI, she used to teach CAT papers in KB. U may choose her if cost is your constraint.

However, you may try other lecturers from other colleges.

For me, i attended F9 classes under Andrew Pang. Personally, i do think he's one of the best finance lecturers for F9. For the theory part, no doubt he didn't touch in deep, but he did explain the theory once in the class. i remember i got 70+ for my F9. For me, although he didn't teach everything in depth, but he did cover the syllabus in a wider scope.

All optional class would normally be at night since 90% of the students are part time students & its pointless to run fulltime class which only aters to less than 5 students. With exception of sunway I dont think you will many places conducting optional class at morning or afternoon.

this coming sitting will be my first time taking F7. i've read the first page. is Joe Fang really good? Sunway is out of my list, and McOrange's timetable is not convenient for me.

or if u guys have any other suggestion for F7 lecturer, i'd gladly appreciated

andrew pang cannot teach la. better if he go retire. teach so fast better talk to the person that understand you most like your wife or yr son. the only person can teach p4 patiently step by step is mr daniel ho and mr chow kim tai. others all tak boleh pakai! trust me or you will waste yr 6 months suffering like what i faced many times b4.

Mr ANdrew - many years teaching, save to say got many graduates under him
Mr Michael Manwaring - so many years - famous in UK, some say also in Subang Inti ( )
Mr Chow Kim Tai - many years teaching. some more finish acca studies. sure got 'liao' [good ingredients of lecturer]
Mr Marcus Ong - many years teaching. Heard from friends  - interesting and effective to get you pass like earlier batches.
Mr Dinesh - many years teaching altho not acca qualified, but students say he is ok.

3 colleges : all got amenities, campus facilities. in fact i think 80% lecturers in Subang inti and taylors  more years teaching than compared to young young [some pretty n handsome] lecturers in SUnway. If lecturers think they are gods, then they must be good and very confident of their delivery.Like food stall owners operating many years become c*cky / stuck up. SUnway famous cos lecturers all good good [handsome] wan.  of course lah we don't choose on looks lah. we apply 'substance over form' standards.   

haha. i know one Director who is very great because of actual achievement. He is fantastic! having largest number of acca students in the world. all so desparate want to register in his college.  u check lah newspapers, this is what he said to us. but no mention names ler after kena shot down also.peace peace.
still must say this. very expensive   . 30% premium.        sighhhh.... feel not justified. other lecturers [as above] also can deliver mah. friends going to register, do not know what to do ler...

Please becareful of your language as there is no perfect lecturer around only imperfect students.
