@zhengyang89, it's a low range camcorder, so can't expect much on the performance, but good thing is small enuff to bring around for any event/happening

@termite9, nice price u got there. normally with 2-yr extended warranty need to top up how much?

Hi Guys and Sifus,

I'm a newbie in lowyat.net and have been following this forum with keen interest. I'm considering to get this latest Panasonic plasma but not sure what size will be suitable for my living room. Viewing distance approximately 8 to 9 ft. Hoping that sifus here can help me out.

Also, where can I get the best deals for both the 42" and the 50"? Went to Legend yesterday and their best price is RM3500 cash for the 42" and RM5500 cash for the 50". Tried to bargain but they wouldn't budge. I guess they have limited units left in stock.
*
The distance n size is based on your personal taste.. just stand 8-9feet from the 50inch demo tv n play it with some action movies and see if u like it or not... sitting too close might make u wanna vomit.. i have not tried a 50inch.. but i did try sitting too close to a big projector screen n i nearly vomited .. anyway for 720p it is recommend to sit at least 1.5 times the width and 1.2 times the width for 1080p if not pixelation and artifacts will become more visibly intrusive...

Legend has got competitive prices. You can also try some of our forummers here like htkaki. See his sig for his sales thread.
*
I would advise against Legend despite their low pricing.. their customer service really sucks and if you are not lucky, you might get a display / returned set..

QFT. Legend is very cunning in their way of doing business. They try to sell me a few appliances which are display unit, and they dare to insist it is brand new somemore. Their SS2 branch is the worst. Do not deal with the tall chinese guy call LIANG, most of the time he jack up the price above RSP then give you a discount from there. doh.gif

Help Needed..!!
I just bought TH-P42X10K 2 days ago... really love the color... but it seems that the sound (or speaker) like having some problem...

If I increased the volume to 20+ the speaker macam sound "burrr...buurrr...burrr" ractling. Let it be in TV or video mode. The sound setting I put is....

Mode = music
bass = 5
Tri = 4
Surround = v-audio surround

Anybody facing the same issue... any suggestion

Please help...

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice.

I wonder if Liang works differently nowadays. Last week I happen to pop by Legend SS2 and was served by Liang. I asked about some prices for plasma/lcd tv and he gave me his card with a handwritten price list attached already. The prices stated in the list was quite competitive.

Anyway, I'm still leery about the place if the after sales service is poor and them claiming display/returned units as new.

U try set to 0 and see if it continues rattling. If it does then something wrong with the tv. If it doesn't then u start increasing 1 by 1 until it rattles then u know the threshold biggrin.gif

For Plasma/LCD I think their style of quoting prices are the same, my experience is with other appliances, my Hitachi SBS fridge for example. He quoted RM300 above RSP for a RM6.5k fridge, then deduct another RM500 for me. So in the end it is just RM200 cheaper compared to those chainstore, and he even demanded cash term. doh.gif

In the end I bought it from a big build chinese guy called George I think, at RM1000 savings below RSP.

Does it mean...it cannot be fixed? even though you tighten up the screws? is this because of molding issue or what..?

BTW, Panasonic SC came to my house.... tighten up the screws again! Sound still ada! Main2 with the sound menu... still ada...I asked him...anybody else facing the same issue? the answer is YES! For this newly release model. He said the model he attended was 50" one. So how to fix this?? no answer given... sad.gif . He just said...if the sound..rattle louder... call them again! How many time should I call?? mad.gif Haiyaa...!!!

Lastly, he gave me a suggestion.... use Home theater...!!! cry.gif

Sounds like it's an issue with the construction of the TV. Housing not inert enough and therefore the speakers cause rattling/resonance.

Maybe you can try to dampen the area around the speaker, stick some kind of foam or other damping material there and see.
