Err, without pre-booking the seats, MAS will assign seats upon checking-in, am I right? Or has it gone the AA way,
free seating ? unsure.gif

Pay for seat : At the time you book.
Free selection of seat : When you check in (48 hours before departure)

I bought a flight ticket from MAS online on 26th January 2011 through direct debit. I booked a ticket from Penang to Kuala Lumpur on 6 th February 2011. This is the first time I flew using MAS. From my experience, by right, it should show me the itinerary page and say that my booking status is confirmed. What I got is the itinerary page just show me that an "error occurred while making the booking". So, after that I make my purchasing again. But unluckily, the same problem occurred. I just succeed to purchase my ticket after I tried for the third time. When i checked my account , it has been debited my money 3 times and said that all the transaction are successful. I immediately called the customer services due to my problem. Your colleague helps me to solve the problem by asking me to redeem back the money at KL Sentral on 6 February 2011. When the time I went there, they said I cant settle the problem at KL Sentral. They asked me to called the department which in charge for this. At last, they asked me to post at here. I am dissappointed with your MAS services. After I called for many time, I still cant settle my problem.
I hope that the people who in charge for this can reply me for the matter above as soon as possible.

Thank you.

As TS of this thread, I am not MAS staff. I created this thread for discussion of MAS.

May I know your "post at here", the word "here" mean where? Please explain.

I don't even know that MAS staff know this thread. So, I feel surprised when you said MAS staff ask you to ask at here.

Actually this thread is for discussion about MAS. May be you can try MAS's social media sites (facebook, twitter, etc). Their social media info can be found here: http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en/prod...cial-media.html

Now I am trying to manage and check my booking and itinerary, but I can't seem to find them on the website. The option for to check for booking is the Reference number, my E-ticket number is not correct. So how am I suppose to manage my booking? Anybody please do tell me how.

Just wondering.

I recently booked a flight to LAX for this coming august and the enrich points has not been updated. Does this means the points went missing or I'll need to wait till the flying date, then only the enrich points will be updated?

I remember MAS will credit the enrich points into your account after your flying date. Remember to show ur enrich card during check-in smile.gif

Added on April 5, 2011, 10:25 pmI'm just wondering will I earn enrich miles if I travel via KLM. I know that KLM is having partnership with MAS ...

Alrite thanks smile.gif

If its under code-share-agreement partners, then i guess you can claim the enrich points because i saw a section " claim missing miles from partnered airlines " lol.

Hi all. I've got a question regarding online booking. So I've made the payment and received itinerary receipt email. However, when i try to do web check-in using E-TICKET NUMBER method, it kept showing 'We are unable to process your check-in request at this moment'

Any idea why or i can just go to the airport and check in?

Typically you need to fly then only the miles will be credited. This is cos even though you have the flight booked, you could still change or cancel.

Occasionally the system will be down. (Like today in the morning)
I'm not sure what number are you using but you should only take (and always) take note of the PNR information / booking information which consist of 5 characters. (often alphanumeric in nature)

If the system fail many times then pick up the phone and do phone check in. They will ask for the PNR info as well. You could give other info but PNR is the quickest way to go.

'RLOC MH - XXXXX'
