QUOTE(jason83 @ Sep 27 2010, 01:01 AM) I am going to HK in a couple of days. Going there is not a problem, but my flight back to KL from HK is at 9am in the morning. I am afraid that I cannot reach and check in 2 hours before which is by 7am. What if I arrive at 8? Will I be stopped from checking in? Has anyone ever had this issue before? Can you do online check in? You can probably arrive a bit late just for the baggage drop. I know it can be expensive getting a taxi early in the morning, but I believe you'll end up paying more if you miss the flight. This post has been edited by new~b0y: Sep 27 2010, 03:17 PM

MAS allowed 48 hours before and luggage drop at least 1 hour before.

If the one issued by Ebookers is true electronic ticket, I think it will be no problem. I ever board MAS domestic flight just by telling them my electronic ticket number and my IC. But, for international, you need to show the electronic ticket plus your passport and visa (if your destination country need your nationality to have visa). i'm going back to Malaysia from Yangon this month. If i'm not mistaken, the check in baggage limit is 20kg.
i would like to know what are the charges/penalty if it's over 20kg?
By the way, i'm bringing home Dried Prawns and Cashew Nuts. Is it allowable?
This is my first time on a plane.
Please help.

Is it allowable? This is my first time on a plane. Please help. Depends on the fares you purchased. MHlow fare and MHbasic fare have only 20kgs allowance, while MHsmart and MHflex fare have 25kg. How much weight you want to bring? According to their value calculator page at http://apps.malaysiaairlines.com/valuecalc...Calculator.aspx , 30kg cost you maximum RM50, not sure whether is true or not. For what you can bring and what you cannot bring, I think your answer can be found here: http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/en/bkin...ggage-info.aspx . Why should a premium airline charge for seats? Soon MHlow and MHbasic will need to buy food. Instead of setting their own standard, it's copying a low budget airline. That's 'MALAYSIA BOLEH' This post has been edited by 10&Counting: Jan 11 2011, 11:01 PM

If they don't have this option, do you able to get your preferred seat when you book MHLow, Basic? I don't see this as negative way but on positive way for people buying MHLow, and now they can reserved their seat too. This is good news.

This is good news. previously, we will choose our preferred seat when check-in (counter/kiosk/web), FREE. so, why just not let it still free, rather than charge rm5 then rm10 (after promo ended)? well the answer is, of coz, they want to earn extra money la ~ This post has been edited by erry-: Jan 12 2011, 03:26 PM
