Etihad Airways has code share agreement with MAS.

MAS allow passengers to check-in for code-shared flight if passengers connecting from MAS flight to flight operated by code-share partner, baggage will be automatically transferred. I know this because I asked MAS through email, their customer service replied and tell me that they allow that, and what I need to do is to bring all my air tickets to the airport, that's it..

But, for Etihad, I am not sure whether they will allow you to check-in for your MAS flight when you check-in in London or not, you better contact Etihad now.

Hi, anyone know if coming back from Denpasar to KLIA do I need to pay the extra tax to the Indonesia Immigration there?
Coz when I check the MAS flight ticket, the total fare is already include the tax.

But for AirAsia, they did not include the tax on the flight fare..but need to pay to the Immigration at Denpasar.

I confuse.

I'm flying off to US in few more weeks. I just want to find out more information on MAS's hand baggage allowance.

The travel agent told me that MAS allows 5kg hand baggage.

Am I allowed to bring a backpack and a hand baggage?

anyone know for MAS to check in at KL central, minimum 2 hrs, how abt maximum?

Even wth min 2hrs from KL Sentral, the train will take ~30min to KLIA & wth 1.5hrs to go b4 flying...It's just right on time for boarding...

Maximum?? hmnnn not sure what you mean by it? normally check-in counter (At KLIA & not Sentral) open ~ 2.5-3hrs b4 departure. You can even reach the airport hours or even a day before..thus no maximum timing..so infinity kua..haha but the check-in counter will only opened ~ 2-3hrs b4.

If you mean the latest..I suggest do not try your luck. I experienced almost missing my flight & hv to plead to the officer to let me in (Check -in 1/2 b4 departure!!) Do not try man..dangerous..

You can chk in 24 hours before the flight depart. Done that many times.

My dear, no need to go to KL Sentral. You can also chk in via the web. Just go to MAS website. You can see the web chk in menu and print your boarding pass. On the day of your departure, you just put your bag at the chk in counter and show your boarding pass. Very quick one. I did that also many times. If you go to KL Sentral for chk in,it is compulsory to buy KL Express train ticket. I'm a MAS frequent travellers.

I am going to HK in a couple of days. Going there is not a problem, but my flight back to KL from HK is at 9am in the morning. I am afraid that I cannot reach and check in 2 hours before which is by 7am. What if I arrive at 8? Will I be stopped from checking in? Has anyone ever had this issue before?

well then, to get a cab early in the morning is not an option, why don't you just sleep at the airport never been to HK before, but no problem at getting a cab, 4 o'clock in the morning to Sandefjord Airport, Norway.

usually check-in will close 40 minutes before departure time.
make sure you get yourself to the counter before that.

Yes, that's right.
But usually it's good to go a bit early as we won't know what will happen on that day.

Note that even if you check-in successfully, you still need to go through passport control, security scan, etc.
If the queue is really long, sometime 40 minutes is not enough for you to go through that.

Yeah, I learnt an expensive lesson.
Miss my flight to BKK earlier this year, original ticket was about MYR 400 per person, the ticket counter in KLIA was selling at MYR 2k per person.
However, there is one kind travel agent helped us to secure our seat for MYR 1k per person.
