This one ah? It can be in various form. Is a conversion of a normal 850cc engine 6 Valve to 12 Valve only I guess. I think this one is the fuel injection one. So maybe is the air intake manifold change to L2 intake manifold and ECUed and some using pure 12 valve Carburator. My twin brother is doing on this project half way I guess. He just wont let me know about it.

Hmn..u sure its just a 6v to 12v conversion? The blog owner says its from Japan..but 12v 850 EFi sound really nice..smile.gif

Btw update on car:
My signal lights wont work. Don't know why.
Checked fuse. working
Hazard lights are working.
Workshop say the steering console problem. ask me go look for one at chop shop. $$$ L5 rack with console? drool.gif

Last night jack up my car.
Found out Oil seeping. The whole bottom part of engine has traces of oil and grime.. even to the gear box..adei..
Decided to send the Kancil for general overhaul tomorrow..
To change seals, filters, clutch, oil, belts, clean cylinders, head, tb and all the works..
Looks like its gonna be a major cleanup.
More $$$$

Can't wait for it to be done...

if its a major repair...u might wanna consider transplanting a 850cc engine in it...it really improves overall performance...since u gonna do major repairs on the current engine,y not opt for a better engine and then do the same thing??not to say it provides alot more power but at least it improves drivability...no need to struggle so much in a 660cc...

btw...the engine from the blog is no simple conversion...its really from japan...and its more powerful than our local made 850cc...even the parts are much better...but the fueling system im not sure its EFI or carburetor...even if its carb fueling system its definitely better than our local made 850cc...and its cheaper too...dats what i read from the blog..xD

my sis's kancil is year 2002.. so seven years... biasa la girls.. only take care the looks... stuff in the engine bay xjaga sangat...
i'm not sure how many km done... later i check.. but it used to travel kl-jb-kl in its early days... bout the locking mechanism in the front passenger door... anybody having the same problem???

I want to know the estimate for restoring this car... coz it will be handed to me in august... wanna start saving money for it... n another thing.. how much will it cost if i wanna convert the carburetor to fuel injection system?? can it be done??

I'm keeping the 660 engine.. hahaha.
I found out the other day. Not only the engine head cover has Daihatsu written on it but the gearbox and the lower part of the engine had "D" logo as well.

i am restoring 15 years kancil. and gonna be completed soon enough.
spent almost 4k in total.
btw my car was in a terrible condition that's why cost so much.

haha..most of the square lamp kancils the engine parts has Daihatsu or D logo 1...even mine is the same as urs...engine head has Daihatsu written on it....gearbox also has D logo...

yes...from conversion from carb to EFI is possible...it will roughly cost u around 800 for all the parts...excluding labour charges...

Kancil PCD is 110...

im afraid rims from naza sutera will not be able to fit into kancil...

i think ur carb need 2 service a bit then d power will come back 2 ur car~

Haha, mine the same thing as well actually. Aih again another headache. This time my car will be in the workshop for a week I guess. Leaking black oil.

Umm that one is an EFI though cause that engine has an Intake Manifold and a throttle body. Fueling system much efficient that way. I think that conversion which converted the oil tank also as well.

Aih, not all girls are like that though. Its around Rm800 like that to convert from Carb to EFI. You have to change the Intake Manifold and the Oil Tank.

The gun is the mechanism is found on all 4 doors that controls the central locking on your car doors.

Got car back.
just changed the steering console. RM40..
didnt overhaul yet. mechanic says don't do first.

gonna just change engine oil, filters and belts first.

40 ringgit so cheap??u change the whole steering console ar??

icic...dats good for a start...mechanics always advice not to do overhaul if the engine doesnt giv u major problem...if its just power loss then its ok because all engine suffers from power loss over the years of usage...

the only way to have a confirmation on that engine is too look at the block itself it shud have "ED" letter stamping on the block.

hello. if u want to wear pcd 100 rims, got 2 options.
1. change the knuckle to pcd100
2. add skru pcd. u go ask at tyre shop, mostly can do it. usually they charge rm10 sebatang. so 4x4x10=rm160 roughly.
