Because people are crouching. You probably punch or kick too early. Every button has different hit area for jumps.

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Apr 1 2009, 02:38 PM) While you could practise the range of pokes, but I believe experience is the one that helps you maintain the knowledge of the distance when sticking out pokes. Keeping cool against you is like putting a bucket of ice on a volcano. It doesn't keep cool long...... Maybe it's just me but playing against you, my mind keeps racing. Especially during times of trouble, experienced players tend ot be the ones that pull off great comebacks, they're used to it, know what works and keep their cool. What are you going to do next? Hit high? low? Jump? Fake it? It's creepy.... You should see my wife sitting and watching me play. lol.. She keeps asking me to bantai you. lol... |

May I should set handicap on and Darkstalker you drop your hp to 50%. symphony - you'll get used to the pressure. Like I said experience. Side note: Hate Ken EX Shoryu. Then if I can beat that, you can increase it to 75%. Then 100%. Good idea? Something for me noobo to target & achieve. |

My friend is getting NAT3 too. It's probably P1.OK, seems like many still have no clue that they are using crap IP Address from Screamyx to play games. Just go to this forum and find out how. Use the search. http://forum.lowyat.net/BroadbandUser-2-User Keywords: IP Address or 218.111 You still need to do some homework on how to get a good connection. Every area is different. 60.52.xxx.xxx is a good IP and 118.101.xxx.xxx lags like hell for me. This post has been edited by TristanX: Apr 1 2009, 08:06 PM |

To make up for not playing at all yesterday, I'LL BE PLAYING A LOT TONIGHT.
Will be online soon, after I freshen up (just got back, classes till late evening). I myself also seem to have 60.XX.XX.XX as a good IP (normally 60.53, sometimes 60.51 or 60.48) and the worst by far is 118.XX. Since Alan wants to have friendlies again soon, I'll start playing more seriously a bit too. EDIT: Tony! Ken and Akuma both have good jump in MKs. Now this is not the ONLY jump in you should use, but in order to learn range and timing of doing air attacks, I believe you should start here. Once you get used to MK you can start using HK or HP. i'd get that by spamming. But then again, the flame hadoken you can just do a high jump. But the flaw is to check whether Akuma would have an Ultra at ready. it could be a trap.
If he teleports, try and get close and grab him. |

your spamming = continuosly hoddoken ? but he will did that too, and suddenly teleports to your back while u were spamming, then HP -> shoyuken or HP -> LK hurricane kick -> HP shoruken.
then he started all over again, really headache. once got hit, very hard to beat him already. he has a habits of hit HP twice before doing anything though, like he's gonna perform the super/ultra move. This post has been edited by tony: Apr 1 2009, 11:15 PM |

QUOTE(symphony88 @ Apr 1 2009, 10:46 AM) Have been playing a few nights with Darknightryu and it was a blast. Managed to only win 1 match out of the countless battles. It was fun. I gain some lessons from TritanX and Darkstalker. We both just have to pratice more and gain more experience Good fun! The lp shoryuken into ex/super/ultra is a pain.... lol Gambade!!! : ) |

Tony, since you noe how he the pattern of his play style, what else do ya think can counter that? Spamming works, but of course to a certain extent. How fast the projectile move and how he guesses you to pick out which speed also matters.
There are lots of ways. Even a bait fireball can be used to ur advantage. If you noe he's going to teleport, get a fast fireball and get ready to throw him. Getting him off balance makes him lose his groove. |

I go for the sound.
SHAKUNENG > Jump just before fireball comes out. Then hit his arm with something. If I'm close enough combo (probably not close enough though). EDIT: Tonight was weird. I was teching almost ALL throws... ...except Gouken's back throw, which is supposed to be the EASIEST throw in the game to tech. O.o Also, random lag spikes made everyone I played with (and myself) do some weird stuff. Sorry Alvin/Carl. I gave up trying to connect back to PSN. QUOTE(TristanX @ Apr 1 2009, 08:04 PM) My friend is getting NAT3 too. It's probably P1. I used to get 218.111.xxx.xxx IP range in Penang but apparently after they as in TMnuts did some weird "upgrade" stuff in the north here, I can't seem to get hold of that IP range anymore. I'm getting 118.xxx.xxx.xxx, 60.48, 60.50, 112.xxx, 115.xxx which btw is terrible. OK, seems like many still have no clue that they are using crap IP Address from Screamyx to play games.
