If you have R3(Asia) SF4, you must buy from Asia PS Store. You can't buy from R1 store because that's for the US R1 SF4.
Again R3 is Asia and R1 is US.
Kyoyagami
Costumes are region locked.
if u use akuma and u dun use his HK, u'd be missing out on a lot of beautiful opportunities
Best if about to wake up. If they are already up. They can do some anti-air moves and disrupt your crossover attempt eg. Guile's Crouching+HP which punches your Blanka's balls
buff, since you noe there's a pattern with cammy's style, your option would be to go a defensive route. Cammy's Spiral Arrow (i believe) will hit low, so guard that first. And then, do nothing and guard the Cannon Spike (that's the correct one. ). There's a big window when the Cannon Spike is blocked. What happens after you block that is your choice.
Hurm, Bison's Stomp? Psycho Press I think. well, there are 2 attacks here. Is it when he stomps you, or he stomps, then he flies back up and dashes down with his hands spread? Either way, the Psycho Press should exhibit a different animation from jumping, meaning that if from far away, you should be able to spot what he is doing. Shoryuken before Bison comes at you, it should hit. Or you can jump and hit the punch or kick button (and make sure its a HP or HK).
An age old tip, if the move worked once, it might not work again. Mix and mash everything you can from a small punch to an Ultra
.

I thought for Blanka Ball it makes no difference whether you block high or block low. Irregardless you block high, low, left or right. Whether you're getting up or lying down, the Blanka Ball will just merely "langgar" your opponent or land on the other side. However it's risky because after the Blanka Ball stopped, you'll be left open for a while. Inviting Grabs, Pokes or your opponent Scratching Your Butt. IF you're looking to do a crossover with the Green Dude, either jump+MK (jump behind your opponent) or just LK+MK+HK over to the other side and do whatever you wanna do eg. Electric, Grab, Poke or Scratch Your Butt.

Darkstalker
Taunt to bait opponent. Normally only during knockdowns/full screen distance.
Not that useful though, just a change of pace. And on knockdown, most of the time meaty attacks/crossups are better. Pretty good on trigger happy anti-air players though.
First things first: learn to tech throw. You can do this by pressing throw (light punch + light kick) as they throw you. So even if you get caught by throws, you still have this option.
Now, for the situation you described, I suggest hold block while mashing light punch/kick/throw. You will block whatever attacks they throw out, and if their attacks are too slow, you'll either jab or throw them.
I do not suggest low hard kick. Most characters have a slow one, too slow for close range, throwing distance. Light attacks or your own throw work best here.
If they jump early, try walk forward (until they will just miss their attack but you're still next to them) and then throw. Alternatively, Focus Attack - Back Dash would work too.
Fei Long's Ultra can come out fast enough to catch Cammy's low LK
The easiest way to cross up is after a knockdown: just jump and press the button late.
If the guy's still standing, you have to know the range and keep the opponent's size in mind, cause if your jumping character touches the other guy, then you cannot go behind the guy but if you jump too far to the guy's back you won't hit either.
I suggest going to practise mode and trying it out. Maybe start with Ken? His crossup's always been one of the easier ones to get. Blanka and Bison have easy ones to hit too, but their jumps are slightly different from most other characters. Both of them have MK also as their crossup attack.
EDIT: To add, there're other ways to cross up. For instance, after a knockdown, you can do a Blanka ball just as the guy's getting up, so he has to guess whether he needs to block high or low. Bison has a similar one with his Head Stomp and Fuerte especially is going to give you nightmares over crossups with his body splash/throw/low kick shenanigans
Ryu
- Low MP has good recovery, use it to set something else up. You'd normally follow this with...
- ...low MK > fireball as a good poke
- Don't shoot too many fireballs
- Jump for crossups (MK) or from safe distances only
- Don't forget your EX moves! EX fireball is good to mixup your regular fireball
- Early LP Shoryuken to counter jump > Ultra.
- Hurricane Kick to stop those using too many Focus Attacks
- Low LK/LP when close
You cannot be thrown during hitstun/blockstun (aka the animations when you're hit/block).
If the opponent likes to do that, I suggest jump forward. Whatever attempted throw will miss, and you should jump over Cammy's Cannon Spike.
Bison stomp
- If he does it from far away, you can punish it with a shoryuken if you got the timing down...
- ...unless you mixed up the animation and he did Devil Reverse, which can and probably will hit your shoryuken. So if you're not sure, block it.
- If he does it from close, walk forward. Bison stomp cannot go backwards, so once you walk forward, you're safe.
- EX Stomp...stay the HELL away and block it. Damage is beautiful (cause I play him). You can still walk under him, but the risk here is substantially greater.
- Always watch for his landing no matter what the version. He can land near or far. Near and you might be expecting either another air attack or a throw or land, low attack, scissors kick, etc.
Cammy Cannon Drill
- Block low, throw
- Block low, low LP/LK, special move
- Block low, block the cannon spike, whatever you want
- Focus Attack, only her HK Cannon Drill hits twice so you can just FA to your heart's delight. If HK version was used, you can just block and punish that, slowest recovery of all the drills.

To me, taunts are just downright rude and unprofessional. It's simply scrubbish behaviour - unless it's a game played among friends. Plus, win or lose, chances of the opp kicking me out of the lobby / disconnecting in the middle of the match will increase! You know how difficult-lah sometimes it gets, to connect successfully to a Ranked or Player match over PSN.
You can cancel taunts in SF4 after the first few frames, to bait your enemy e.g. taunt > anti-air or Ultra - but I still fail to see it as part of the strategy. It simply reflects one's arrogance. The only exception is Dan, where IIANM makes him jump higher (done in air) or combo into Ultra (heavy punch > Taunt Super > cancel to Ultra). But I like Vega's claw and mask removal though!
One good game where taunts are part of the gameplay is 3rd Strike (e.g. Q's defence, Makoto/Alex's offence).
By the way, I don't think win ratios paint an accurate picture on the player's level of game competency. Closest would be BPs in ranked matches - but then again the algorithm is so scr*wed up. E.g. when you reach 3500-4000 BPs and fight vs a 2000-odd BP player you lose 50-80+ BPs but if win, you get 1-5
And I'm saying this because a 2000-odd BP player is considered good already, and he has a fair chance of winning. This makes it extremely hard for the higher BP players to climb up. As for those top 5 people in PSN, damn they aren't going to move. I don't think they will ever risk fighting anyone![/
MasterAlvin
Sakura's upper cut is not really an anti air move, and it's a pretty lousy single attack coz you land right next to your opponent after you wiffed it or blocked, try to use it in a combo instead. try doing LK>LP>LK>heavy uppercut, it gives you time to react even though it's blocked, you can just do hadoken after your LK is blocked.
Sakura's HK is a very good poking move, try to learn to use it.
i think you are taking the taunting too seriously.
it's in the game, it's meant to be used.
if you over react to it and have a lousier game, it just means that you are immature, emotion wise.
taunts don't do no damage, just ignore it.
it's for fun!
one thing about jabs and LK i learned about, is not to throw them individually.
ken for example, you can always do the LK>LP>MK>Hadoken for tight counters and you push your opponent to a safe distance after your hadoken is executed.
my sakura for example, i always have Lk>LP>LK>upper cut/spinning kick.
quite effective, i would assume most characters have similar moves.
TristanX
[color=red]Jump is another option to counter grabs/throws.
You have to be careful of Zangief's double lariat and EX Banishing(forgot the full name, the one that moves forward and hit). They buffed double lariat a lot compare to Zero 3. I don't understand why.
Please spam/repeat the invites until the person you want to play with gets in. It's either Screamyx or PSN bug that causes "Unable to participate session" error.
If you are looking for a great C.Viper player, add WhatWhatInMyButt to your friend list That's my real life friend. However, he may not be able to beat characters he never encountered before for few games.
