Yeah, I'd prefer Sega MD 6 button joypad over others. It's still the best.

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Mar 21 2009, 01:11 PM) First things first: learn to tech throw. You can do this by pressing throw (light punch + light kick) as they throw you. So even if you get caught by throws, you still have this option. Jump is another option to counter grabs/throws.Now, for the situation you described, I suggest hold block while mashing light punch/kick/throw. You will block whatever attacks they throw out, and if their attacks are too slow, you'll either jab or throw them. I do not suggest low hard kick. Most characters have a slow one, too slow for close range, throwing distance. Light attacks or your own throw work best here. If they jump early, try walk forward (until they will just miss their attack but you're still next to them) and then throw. Alternatively, Focus Attack - Back Dash would work too. |

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Mar 22 2009, 12:42 AM) I think I'll be on afternoons/nights. For instance, I was just playing (about 11.30 - 12.30). I already told you I was playing with real life friend. heheIf you wanna set up matches better, feel free to PM me for my MSN. That way we can really see if we're online or not. EDIT: GGs to you too daydreaming and danger. I tried to invite Tristan, but I guess he was busy. Spent my time playing a bunch of random ranked matches (I am now almost 500 yay... I was looking for you when I'm done but you logged off. Who says Gen doesn't need skill? He has tons of potential but he's complicated.

Screamyx got retarded again. Lag so hard today. It's hard to play with the misses and cant block because of it.

You have to be careful of Zangief's double lariat and EX Banishing(forgot the full name, the one that moves forward and hit). They buffed double lariat a lot compare to Zero 3. I don't understand why.
QUOTE(DarKnightRyu @ Mar 22 2009, 10:30 PM) ya..always tmnut.. Yeah, it was gay when I keep missing a move. I end up crouch HP instead of hadoken or MP instead of Dragon Punch and sometimes can't block when I see it coming. thanks for the game n lessons TristanX.. we should do it again when the line gets better. I'm really tired of screamyx. Wish there is Jaring coverage at my place. I never had problems with them on 56k days. |

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Mar 22 2009, 11:40 PM) Good games to Tristan, danger and lykiat. Yeah, I messed around with other characters when I see you trying out other characters. Good games. To anyone that was wondering (particularly lykiat) I didn't use Balrog today because earlier in training mode, I kept messing up my combos/links with him. So I thought, if I can't pull it off offline, I'm never gonna get it right online. So I decided to just try a few different characters. Akuma's lots of fun but I get hit too much to use him consistently. Bison's got awesome moves but I have zero combos with him besides mash light attacks and low kick -> scissors kick. And my Ryu is horrid. I have also made note of many things that I didn't know cause I'm still quite new to the game, but the one that stands out to me is the following: Fei Long's Ultra can come out fast enough to catch Cammy's low LK (wtf |

It takes practice to get crossups. There are positioning involved.

QUOTE(MasterAlvin @ Mar 23 2009, 09:50 PM) i hate tristan when he's already jumping and doing a cross up when i'm still falling from a jump. i cant judge if it's a cross up or not. Like I said before, experience counts. You will eventually able to judge on where to block.QUOTE(danger46 @ Mar 24 2009, 01:20 AM) hahaah 78% at the moment. It's not easy to win real life friends who knows how I play. Not like it matters anyway. I do mess around with other characters. Win ratio only matters when you play good players and with your best character(s).im shock that my fight record better then urs.. coz i think im the worst here lol hey TristanX , wat ur record? 80% win ratio? If you are looking for a great C.Viper player, add WhatWhatInMyButt to your friend list. That's my real life friend. However, he may not be able to beat characters he never encountered before for few games.
Also, please put this info into first page: Please spam/repeat the invites until the person you want to play with gets in. It's either Screamyx or PSN bug that causes "Unable to participate session" error. Don't forget to install the game, I experienced long load times for some of the users. Just save up for it. It's actually worth it.
As you know, I have to pay RM1 per game on the arcades long time ago. Imagine playing it more than 1000 times. |

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Mar 24 2009, 03:50 PM) That is a great name. I'll add him later. He participated but didn't show up because of real life issues. He's still the best C.Viper I played.Did your friend participate in the tournament? I must have the worst C Viper in existance. QUOTE(MasterAlvin @ Mar 24 2009, 05:51 PM) haha yeah. i guess you are right. I will be around as usual. Too bad others can't join and watch the games. we hope we can play against you more though. it's always a nice thing to fight against you as you always give us lots of stuffs to learn. i'm spam invites at you the moment i get my internet back! hahahaha |

QUOTE(daydreaming @ Mar 25 2009, 12:14 AM) i think i need a list of people who is as noob as me. lol. to practice wif me. today i kena belasah 25-0 by tristan. but i think i've learnt a bit from there la. I played with all characters except Seth but your moves are completely predictable. You need not to blindly use moves that has recovery time, especially HP Shoryuken (Dragon Punch) and your strategy needs work.so whoever admits he's a noob, pls add me in psn This post has been edited by TristanX: Mar 25 2009, 01:36 PM |
