Hi,

1st timer here to this forum. A SF4 newbie here. Don't have any friends who play SF4 online thus am always trying to search for ppl to play online and it takes over 30 minutes each time to get someone with a decent connection.

Maybe my connections sucks but I would like to give it a go with anyone. No specific main for me. I just pick what ever I feel like playing. :)

Do add me. PSN ID - symphony88

Cheers.

I really enjoyed last night. With both Darkstalker and Danger46. I really really learn alot fighting them through those couple of matches.

Sorry that my stupid internet connection is very unpredictable.

To anyone else, if you want a punching bag, fun and silly match, or just "shiok" play, please add me.

Cheers.

By the way, I've been looking around ebay on those 6 buttons Sega Saturn USB controllers. All the sellers seems to be from China. Has anyone bought these pads before from any of them? I was thinking of getting 1 but am a bit cautious about China sellers on ebay.

I've been on the wait list for a hori stick since feb and haven't been able to get my hands on 1, thus am looking for alternatives. While i'm babbling on sticks, anyone know where I can get my hands on a madcatz tournament arcade stick or if it is even available in Malaysia?

Cheers.

The Saturn Controllers have USB connectors installed. Don't need an adapter.

How does 1 pull of charge moves efficiently with the PS3 d-pad? No matter how much practice I get in training mode, the chances are still 50/50. icon_question.gif

And to all, my internet connection is very erratic. So do bare with me when playing as the connection time outs occur quite frequently.

Any Balrog (Boxer) players? I think I found the character I enjoy playing with and would like to concentrate on learning how to play him effectively.

You can find out later tonight.

I suggest you play him beforehand first, and remember what moves he has.  That's the first thing you should do for any character before you get on to actual strategy.

Thanks for a quick knock around with Balrog. Wait till I get better then I can give you a run for your money. Got to learn how to mix up my attacks and specials. Am I too predictable?

Some nice Youtube vids:

Balrog vs Balrog

Balrog vs Blanka

For Blanka's Ultra, do you need to block high then low? Or just block high?

Are you sure you should be feeling like that, and not the burning spirit to keep trying harder and practice to beat him instead? Bcuz if you do, then I don't see that this game suits you. Winning never comes easy.

I believe its more like getting a sore thumb after trying to execute moves on the dpad. After 40 matches that's what usually happens to me. PS3 dpad is not a very move friendly pad.

Have been playing a few nights with Darknightryu and it was a blast. Managed to only win 1 match out of the countless battles.

Good fun!

The lp shoryuken into ex/super/ultra is a pain.... lol

Hahahaha... yup. After I get to impatient dodging the fireballs.

Added on April 1, 2009, 1:49 pmIs it just purely experience or lots of practice that you know how far the crouch mk/mp/hk will reach out? Or you use a ruler to measure on screen how far it will reach? tongue.gif
I always get hit by that.. doh.gif

While you could practise the range of pokes, but I believe experience is the one that helps you maintain the knowledge of the distance when sticking out pokes.

Especially during times of trouble, experienced players tend ot be the ones that pull off great comebacks, they're used to it, know what works and keep their cool.
*
Keeping cool against you is like putting a bucket of ice on a volcano. It doesn't keep cool long...... Maybe it's just me but playing against you, my mind keeps racing.
What are you going to do next? Hit high? low? Jump? Fake it? It's creepy....

You should see my wife sitting and watching me play. lol.. She keeps asking me to bantai you. lol... biggrin.gif

tony - what character are you using?  We can give more specific advice like that.

symphony - you'll get used to the pressure.  Like I said experience.

Side note: Hate Ken EX Shoryu.

May I should set handicap on and Darkstalker you drop your hp to 50%. thumbup.gif
Then if I can beat that, you can increase it to 75%. Then 100%. Good idea? Something for me noobo to target & achieve.

My friend is getting NAT3 too. It's probably P1.

OK, seems like many still have no clue that they are using crap IP Address from Screamyx to play games. Just go to this forum and find out how. Use the search.

http://forum.lowyat.net/BroadbandUser-2-User

Keywords: IP Address or 218.111

You still need to do some homework on how to get a good connection. Every area is different. 60.52.xxx.xxx is a good IP and 118.101.xxx.xxx lags like hell for me.
*
I used to get 218.111.xxx.xxx IP range in Penang but apparently after they as in TMnuts did some weird "upgrade" stuff in the north here, I can't seem to get hold of that IP range anymore. I'm getting 118.xxx.xxx.xxx, 60.48, 60.50, 112.xxx, 115.xxx which btw is terrible.

Am currently stuck with 118 which out of the entire list is the best of the worst so far.
