I hold the Platinum Credit Card, not Charge Card. Well I guess it was me who asked Amex for the increment. I knew I was gonna be spending those $ so I just asked for an increment and they gave it to me. If they didn't give it to me I'll just well, pay up whatever I was owing to clear my credit but since they gave it to me, I just extended my cash flow

That's shrewd financial management at its best

It was also the same month I mis-calculated and underpaid RM20k to Amex hence had a whopping RM500 finance charges, which of course was finally waived off

Now I remember .... you really should convert to the charge card, no need ever to worried abt CL

you can ask Rocky to get you a Supplementary plat charge card, Free For Life. Haha. I believe he'd glad to do so.
I believe on the 2nd year Amex will not waive the AF , so you consider to keep the card ?

request for upgrade to plat maybe possible, i hold master & visa plat, Amex plat cc and gold charge from Mbb,all heavily abused card for many years already. The only thing is i doesn't wish to pay 2k for the annual fee. Should help if call in to plat charge card call centre and express the interest on that plat charge card. Problem is maybe no AF waiver will be offered if request accepted.

About the RM2k annual fee, any benefits associated with this card besides just some extra point and some memberships to some clubs ? More and more people are ditching the AMEX Plat Charge in favor of AMEX Gold Charge in the States since it doesn't offer much anymore since recently. USA issued AMEX Plat Charge comes with many benefits such as airline lounge access (extremely popular in US) and complimentary seat upgrade to domestic First Class and much more. There was some complains from some frequent flyers that AMEX Plat Charge holders soon won't get to enjoy these anymore.

Alliance Bank rejected my application on Younique card...

According to the sale agent, they claimed that if previously I have cards with them and canceled, the new application needs to be done 6 months after the cancellation.

Otherwise, it will be rejected.

No matter what reason it is, I have no opportunity to earn the 2% rebate liao..


Never mind... continue using my Ambank and AMEX charge card.

Today I got one e-mail from CimB bank woh ... said like something promotion .... nothing meaning right since I apply credit card for last week wednesday ??

Last time, when i'm applying UOB One Card, they sms me the latest promotion even i still haven receive the card, after 1 week of that sms, i get the card.

So it is a good sign, u should receive your card in these few days

Card sifu,let say if i wanna call up and ask for annual fee waiver and my card expiry is on June 2009. I shall call them before annual fee appear on my statement ot after it appear on my statement? Never call up before normally i just cancel it,this time i wanna try to ask for waiver.
