@MilesAndMore,
PBB admits their core business is not in its consumer credit cards. They see that as a bigger risk than profit hence it makes sense the bank doesn't actually spend too much $ promoting their cards.

Yes
I remember I did came across Tun Dr. Mahathir's blog that he mentioned about the credit card business is at high risk and not really profitable. Malaysians owing the credit card amounted to total RM2.7b (If I am not mistaken in the figure). As many people spending beyond their income.

TDM even mentioned that it is the reason PBB is not looking much into CC business.

U just need your latest 3 months salary slip and EPF statement.
Platinum? how much is your annual income?

Im currently using UOB for 2% rebate, but now thinking to switch to Maybank Amex for double points to centralise my rewards as im using Maybank Visa too..

UOB rebate can only be use at limited places like GSC or BHPetrol station mart.
Im still wondering which either UOB or Maybank points are more worth it.

@virgel87,
Y do U not have EPF?!

Amex is a separate entity from Maybank hence the 2 different brands.

They are a division of CIMB. You need to give your graduate certificate.

Go apply for Air Asia Tune card. It looks like a VISA credit card but it actually is a debit card.

If you want to use it for traveling, just deposit how much you want to use before you leave and you can use the card like a CC where-ever you are.

anyone know hsbc amanah 5% cash rebate every fifth transaction is permanent of just a promotion ?

how can we know it's our fifth transaction aaa??

hmm...i'm thinking of...

1st transaction (0.5% rebate) - pay my maxis bill rm1 via CDM
2rd transaction (0.5% rebate) - pay my maxis bill rm1 via CDM
3rd transaction (0.5% rebate) - pay my maxis bill rm1 via CDM
4th transaction (0.5% rebate) - pay my maxis bill rm1 via CDM
5th transaction (5% rebate) - real normal purchase or petrol or something grand la....

and the cycle goes on for the next 4th i just used, just to finish 4 lesser rebate (0.5%) transactions to get 5% rebate on real purchase every 5th transaction....

complicated haa??....huhu..
