Yes it is true you won't get any point or cash rebate when pay bills by using Public Bank Credit Card through PBeBank.com. I do that a couple of time last year.
*
hmm.gif , for my case, i do get points
i even get points for petrol, RM1 = 1 point
btw, my card is PB Manchester United Master

exactly, i used to work for Ambank (not like i am very proud of it..but)
They do have CDM (Cash Deposit Machine) but i don't understand how that fella can actually says that 'major point is, ambank don't have CDM'
Almost all the major banks i visited have CDM, if Ambank really does not have CDM.. i would have burnt them all while i was working there.

For those who do not have any Citibank Credit card like me, you can use service such as payonline.com.my. With this I am using Alliance Bank Credit Card & I am getting cash rebate with this option. biggrin.gif

Good to Alliance Bank cc in payonline, but TNB is not in there. Are the payments through online considered as retail purchases?

Yes ... I used them myself. The only downside to payonline is its limited payee and UOB hasn'e been growing their payee list aggresively despite being around for years. (I think around 7-8 years if I'm not mistaken)

It is true that very limited number of payee, but for me only TNB & Syabas missing from all the bill that I need to pay.

Other problem with payonline is that their system is not 100% working. I experience that some transaction made through Mastercard SecureCode does not go through. When I call them they admit that their system having some compatibility problem with some banks in regards with MasterCard SecureCode. The card that experience problem is Public Bank Mastercard. Alliance Bank VISA with Verified by Visa works perfectly.

Anyody knows why if we are holding a Direct Access card, will not be able to apply for a generic CIMB card but yet for a co-branded card like the Cimb Petronas is ok? Very puzzling indeed. tongue.gif

I am experiencing similar incident before. I am holding DA cards & applying for generic CC. The CC center told me that they can give me the card but with low credit limit (classic card only) due to my insufficient yearly income to have both card with high credit limit. This is due to DA & CIMB cards cannot share credit limit as they are different entity.

Same thing happen again when I want to apply their Islamic CC.

Maybe different case for you.

Received call from PB card centre today.
They still unable to approve my cc application due to their internal policy(they can't approve cc for a person who hold more than 6 cc from other issuer)
They told me to cancel my existing cc to 6 issuer and wait after 6 month, then they can approve my application.
What a stupid policy....................
Looks like my collection will be without PBB. mad.gif

U are lucky coz they tell u the reason...

Yes some banks will not approve ur card if u have alot of cards from other bank.
Due to your liabiliti is high already.. the risk of u not paying back the money is high.

Yes, just like any other banks you can pay for your credit card bill via the CDM. But in the last couple of months, i have seen more people using their credit card to withdraw cash advance from ATM than paying their credit card via CDM ohmy.gif laugh.gif

I m not a fresh user of cc. All the cc I hold has at least few years of vintage.
I never owe any financial institute a single cent, always paid in full for all my cc usage before due although my usage are heavy.
Also,I do submit my income proof and income tax receipt to them, at least few times above their annual income requirement.
Just can't accept their so call internal policy. mad.gif
Never mind, the worst I open FD account at the bank and apply for cc secured by FD.

I was thinking to collect the cards but seems need to cancel my DA before can convert to CIMB proper but if I take their co-branded Petronas card then can straight away apply. Their CSO also don't know why rclxub.gif
