QUOTE(jack2 @ Mar 4 2009, 10:20 AM) I have Maybank AMEX charge card and AMEX is not very famous like Master or VISA. Amex no late charges and interest if late? U sure boh?I like to use AMEX because no late charges will be imposed and interest if late. hehe Does HSBC Bank have free for life credit cards without any condition? I would like to cancel my Citibank which always charges me annual fee and I have to call them every year! |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Mar 4 2009, 12:34 PM) Yes and No. It depends. In my Amex Charged Card Statement there is a Payment Due Date stipulated usually on about 16-18th of the month. Most of the time I will bank in my cheque only after the 20th and never got charged for late payment. However if one pay after the Statement Date, then sure interest and late payment will be imposed. U mean if u pay after the due date, but b4 the next statement is out then not charges?Afaik, Amex aka American Express is a charge card and their interest rate is super expensive if u dont pay them full payment.. Maybank Amex, i dont know... i just got mine recently. QUOTE(jack2 @ Mar 4 2009, 01:01 PM) Sure, I always late to make payment due to busy schedule. Didn't see there is any late payment or interest charge imposed. Good for u....My Maybank Visa i paid later than 6PM on the same day still get charged late payment fee... |

QUOTE(RockIron @ Mar 12 2009, 04:35 PM) Received call from PB card centre today. U are lucky coz they tell u the reason...They still unable to approve my cc application due to their internal policy(they can't approve cc for a person who hold more than 6 cc from other issuer) They told me to cancel my existing cc to 6 issuer and wait after 6 month, then they can approve my application. What a stupid policy.................... Looks like my collection will be without PBB. Yes some banks will not approve ur card if u have alot of cards from other bank. Due to your liabiliti is high already.. the risk of u not paying back the money is high. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Mar 12 2009, 05:08 PM) Yes, just like any other banks you can pay for your credit card bill via the CDM. But in the last couple of months, i have seen more people using their credit card to withdraw cash advance from ATM than paying their credit card via CDM And ended up paying even more interest? |

QUOTE(RockIron @ Mar 12 2009, 06:04 PM) I m not a fresh user of cc. All the cc I hold has at least few years of vintage. Its normal policyI never owe any financial institute a single cent, always paid in full for all my cc usage before due although my usage are heavy. Also,I do submit my income proof and income tax receipt to them, at least few times above their annual income requirement. Just can't accept their so call internal policy. Never mind, the worst I open FD account at the bank and apply for cc secured by FD. |

CIMB petronas master card rebate is 2%...in a month bum my car is RM120 then is 120 - 2% = 2.4. very months can very RM2.4... any suggestion i want to apply for CIMB petronas master card or maybank visa?? of course that must FOC la..hehe Platinum? how much is your annual income? Im currently using UOB for 2% rebate, but now thinking to switch to Maybank Amex for double points to centralise my rewards as im using Maybank Visa too.. UOB rebate can only be use at limited places like GSC or BHPetrol station mart. Im still wondering which either UOB or Maybank points are more worth it. |

I got question....
Previously im using OUB Onecard + BHP card for petrol, and MBB Visa for other stuffs.. But recently i just got Amex card and it has 2X points (before this 8X promotion) for petrol. Im thinking to switch to Amex + Bonuslink Shell or Real Rewards Petronas now...but which combination is more worthy? Some thoughts to ponder:- 1. UOB get cashback can redeem petrol or GSC ticket 2. Amex got 2X TP 3. BHP card only can use at their station groceries. 4. Bonuslink points expire after 2 years (and their redeem stuffs are not cheap) I rarely get to earn Bonuslink points else where so its quite hard to earn enough point to redeem stuffs... But if i us Amex rather than UOB, atleast i can centralise my points at Maybank to redeem more expensive points? So which should i use? |
